Places to see in ( Columbus - USA )
Places to see in ( Columbus - USA )
Columbus is Ohio’s state capital. The city’s Scioto Mile is a string of parks on both sides of the Scioto River, with a huge interactive fountain and trails. On the west bank, the COSI science center offers hands-on exhibits and a planetarium. Downtown, the Columbus Museum of Art includes American and European paintings and a sculpture garden. The German Village area has restored brick houses built by 1800s settlers.
Columbus is the capital of the American state of Ohio and is located centrally within the state in the Mid-Ohio region. Sited in an area where the Rust Belt, Bible Belt, Appalachia, and the Plains meet, Columbus is a fusion of many different parts of America. It is the home of Ohio State University. The combination of Ohio Government and Ohio State University has fueled amazing growth both financially and physically in Columbus. It has created a business and research enviroment that has provided substantial employment opportunities to the diverse ethnic and local graduates of Ohio State University, and other academic institutions in Columbus. The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC), is projected to be one of the top 50 supercomputers in the world and among the top 10 supercomputing academic centers.

Northwest Columbus
Northeast Columbus
South Columbus
What Ohio's capital city (and largest city) lacks in mega sights and wild quirks it makes up for with unexpected food and arts scenes. Better yet, Columbus is easy on the wallet, an influence from Ohio State University's 59,000-plus students (the campus is the nation's second largest). A substantial gay population also has taken up residence in Columbus in recent years.
Named after the Italian explorer who sailed under the Spanish flag (In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue), this city is the largest in Ohio in terms of population with 787,033, and the 15th largest city in the United States—though with only 1.7 million people, the metropolitan statistical area is relatively small (the 31st largest in the nation and the 3rd of 4th largest in Ohio). Major area employers are state government (as the state capital), Ohio State University (the largest student population in the nation) and numerous Fortune 500 companies headquartered here (Cardinal Health, Nationwide Insurance, Limited Brands, etc.). It is a day's drive from one half of the U.S. population and is located at the intersection of I-70 and I-71.

2019 Campground Reviews - Park Travel Reviews
2019 was our first year RV camping. We have a Forest River A-frame travel trailer. These are the campgrounds we visited along with some facts and views from each.
Campgrounds listed in this video are:
Onondaga Cave State Park, Missouri: Onondaga Cave State Park campground offers basic and electric/water campsites and a special-use camping area. For a little extra space, try one of the park's family campsites.
The campground also contains a playground and an amphitheater. Camping supplies are available at the park store.
Illini Campground at Hazlet State Park, Illinois: Eldon Hazlet SRA is probably best known for its camping facilities. The Illini Campground has 328 Class A campsites with 30 and 50 amp electrical hook-ups, 36 Class C campsites for walk-in tent camping and two rustic rent-a-cabins. A campground store and public swimming pool are located at the campground.
Giant City State Park: Giant City is a popular weekend retreat because of its varied and well-kept campground facilities. There are 85 campsites in the Class A Campground which provides water, electricity, showers and sanitary facilities for tent and trailer camping. The shower building in the Class A site closes the day after the first shotgun deer season (weather depending) and re-opens April 1st. A separate Class A equestrian campground is located off the horse trail in the southwest corner of the park. A Class C camping area is located at the south end of the campground and offers 14 walking sites, for those who prefer a more primitive setting. Outdoor privies, fire rings and access to showers are provided. The trailhead to the Red Cedar trail is located nearby for those who wish to hike 6 miles to the primitive Red Cedar Campsite. Pre-registration is required at the Visitor Center or with the camp host.
Onaway State Park, Michigan: Onaway State Park is located on the southeast shore of beautiful Black Lake in Presque Isle County. The park encompasses 158 acres of rugged but picturesque land, including sand cobblestone beaches, large unique rock out-croppings and a diverse variety of trees. You may observe all these natural features by hiking the park's three-mile nature trail. The campground, set among virgin white pines, offers solitude and serenity and plenty of family fun.
Hawn State Park, Missouri: Hawn State Park offers basic, electric and walk-in campsites. The park also has a special-use camping area.
Long Branch State Park, Missouri: Long Branch State Park offers basic and electric campsites and a special-use camping area. There are also several walk-in basic campsites available. For a little extra space, try one of the park's family campsites.
Stop by the park store to pick up some camping supplies.
Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado: Welcome to Denver’s natural and spacious backyard playground. There’s so much to see and enjoy. Summers are busy and action packed while off-peak times are quiet and laid back. Anchored around a 880 surface acre reservoir, the park offers a natural prairie environment of gentle, rolling hills and complete outdoor recreation facilities, including camping, picnicking and facilities for group events.
James M Robb/ Colorado River State Park, Colorado: The Fruita section campground provides: A visitor center and bookstore, Playgrounds, Great fishing, Walking distance to the Dinosaur Journey Museum, Walking distance to shopping and restaurants, Views of the Grand Valley and the Bookcliffs and Colorado National Monument, and Full hook-up or electric hook-up.
Gros Ventre Campground - GTNP, Wyoming: The park's largest campground is in the southeast part of the park, closest to the town of Jackson. Sagebrush and grasses cover the campground as cottonwoods and blue spruce rise above. The Gros Ventre River is a short stroll away. Some sites offer views of the Grand Teton and Blacktail Butte. Wildlife including bison, moose and mule deer frequent the area. Maximum stay is 14 nights.
Curt Gowdy State Park, Wyoming: There are a total of 159 campsites; 90 reservation only sites and 69 first come, first served campsites. Reserveable sites can be reserved May 1 - September 30, a maximum of four (4) months before arrival.
