Qingxiu Mountain, Day 5 of Guilin & Nanning, China Trip 20191030
Day 5 of Guilin & Nanning of Khor Family's China Trip takes us to scenic Qingxiu Mountain 青秀山 and finally Guangxi Museum of Nationalities.
QingXiu Mountain Scenic Area is located on the bank of the Yong River about 5 km southeast of Nanning City. There is a beautiful green hill, and the top of the green hill have a tall pagoda (LongXiang Tower). Here is known as the “Big Lung of Nanning City”. QingXiu Mountain is cover by the green forest, it also known as Qing Mountain or TaiQing Mountain Range. It is207 meters above sea level and nearly 800 hectares. The forest are lush and tall, it like covering the sky. The sound of the sea waves, forming a famous scene of Qing Mountain - Qingshan Songtao.

STORY: Media representatives from ASEAN countries and Japan, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan, visited Chongzuo in Guangxi Provicne, China on May 28 to observe the green hills and clear waters and learn about local ancient Luo Yue culture and different customs in the China-Vietnam border area.
According to Director of Chongzuo Tourism Development Committee, Feng Bo, Chongzuo, a node city for organic connection in the construction of the “One Belt and One Road”, is located in the southern border of China and adjacent to Vietnam.
It is a new city built down on the hills located in the southern border of China and adjacent to Vietnam. It is also called “Xiang Country”, which comprises the Luo Yue people, ancestors of the Zhuang nationality, and has a profound history.
According to Feng Bo, Pingxiang City is city within Chongzuo territory, and adjacent to Vietnam, it takes 2 hours for Chinese tourists to travel and visit LangSon, Halong Bay and other places in Vietnam by boat. In 2015, the number of entries and exits at Youyi Guan Port in Pingxiang reached 1 million people. This area is also called “The Southern Gateway” of China.
Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongzuo Municipality, Li Zhentang, said because Chongzuo City is famous for tourism in the region, with the well-known Detian waterfall, which falls on the border with Cao Bang province in Vietnam, the governments of both China and Vietnam sees this area important for the tourism sector in the region, so multiple cross-border tourism cooperation projects has been created to develop this area.
It is said that, China and Vietnam will jointly develop a traveling route with the theme of “Following the Footprint of Ho Chi Minh”, where a museum was built as a symbol of the friendship between China and Vietnam.
Chongzuo City will join up important scenic spots along the “One Belt and One Road” by promoting China-ASEAN travel clearance facilitation, so as to further deepen international tourism cooperation, jointly creating the tourism economic community and support the construction of the “One Belt and One Road”.

VO: Over 40 media representatives from China and ASEAN countries visited Guangxi Province, China’s One Belt One Road Initiative.
INTRO: Over 40 media representatives from China and ASEAN countries visited Guangxi last week to learn more about Chinese culture as part of China’s One Belt One Road Initiative.
STORY: The visit was hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, of the People's Government of Wuzhou and the Guangxi Branch of China News Service.
The visit and related meetings were held under the theme “2016 Culture China Overseas Media Focus on Guangxi” from September 15th to the 22nd in Nanning and Wuzhou Guangxi Province.
The eight-day tour included meetings and visits to well-know historic attractions. Media representative began their visit in Nanning on and visited the Guangxi Museum of Nationalities, an ethnic cultural museum that has been open to the public since 2009, and then attended the official opening ceremony of the “2016 Cultural China Overseas Media Focusing on Guangxi”.
They visited the Guangxi Herb Medicine Garden, home to over 4,000 varieties of herbs. Chinese people believe that herbs can be used as effective medicines to relieve pain and cure many ailments.
The Xinxing Industrial Park to see the Guangxi Yuanzheng Green Energy Automobile Co.,Ltd, an assembly plant of environmentally friendly buses, as well as the Nanning CRRC Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd.

The media representatives also had the opportunity to visit Nanning Maker Faire, Nanning Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstation Base and the Budweiser Company in an ASEAN-Economic Development Area. Budweiser can produce 120,000 bottles per hour or a total of 2.88 million bottles per day.
