Guangzhou / 广州 / 廣州 (Slideshow / 幻灯片)
Guangzhou (simplified Chinese: 广州; traditional Chinese: 廣州; pinyin: Guǎngzhōu); Yale: Gwóngjāu), traditionally romanised as Canton, is the capital and largest city of Guangdong Province in southeastern China.[7] Located on the Pearl River about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and 145 km (90 mi) north of Macau, Guangzhou was a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road and continues to serve as a major port and transportation hub.
Guangzhou was long the only Chinese port permitted for most foreign traders. The city proper fell to the British and was opened by the First Opium War. It lost trade to other ports such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, but continued to serve as a major entrepôt. In modern commerce, Guangzhou is best known for its annual Canton Fair, the oldest, highest-level, largest-scale and most complete trade fair in China. For the three consecutive years 2013–2015, Forbes ranked Guangzhou as the best commercial city on the Chinese mainland.

Great Wall of China, Beijing - Winter is the best time to visit China!
The Great Wall of China is a World Heritage wonder and the only man-made structure that can be seen from outer space. It's a jaw-dropping sight at any time of the year but for a special treat, go in winter. You'd be surprised to find that winter is the best time to visit China and to explore the Great Wall without the crowds. The winter wonderland landscape is ethereal, especially when it snows on the Great Wall.
When visiting the Great Wall there are several places you can climb the wall. You can take a Badaling Great Wall tour or a Mutianyu Great Wall tour.
Visiting the Great Wall of China is one of the most iconic things to do when you're in Beijing. Walking the Great Wall of China is something everyone should try at least once. You don't have to walk the whole way. Well, you'd have to be pretty fit to do so!
It's a day trip to visit while staying in Beijing. My tour was organised by Bespoke Beijing. I stayed at China World Summit Wing in the Shangri-La Beijing.

BCYC Shenzhen - Guangzhou Winter Trip 2014
In December, I boarded the plane heading to China. It was an honoured and treasured opportunity to be part of BCYC winter trip 2014. A truly eye-opening experience indeed! I met many wonderful people on the trip, it was a no wonder why this trip was so enjoyable!
I filmed with my trusty iPhone camera. I might have panned too fast across the scenery in some frames, but let's just forgive that and enjoy the lovely moments, shall we? Haha! (:
It wasn't easy since I had really limited memory space on my phone. I couldn't bear to delete the rest of my videos (not yet transferred to my laptop) from my previous trips. So what you guys are seeing here is merely a snippet from the overall trip experience!
Disclaimer: This is not an official video that is representative of BCYC. The video is strictly for personal purposes only.

China's Transit Elevated Bus Debuts at Beijing Intel High Tech Expo
A model of a Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) debuted at the ongoing 19th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo.
TEB is a purely homegrown invention of China. Its passenger compartment rises far above other vehicles on the road, allowing cars to pass underneath, which will largely increase the utilization of road space.
With a carrying capacity of 1,200 people at a time, the TEB has the same functions as the subway while its cost of construction is less than one fifth that of the subway. Its construction can be finished in one year, said Bai Zhiming, engineer in charge of the TEB project.
The first test of such bus is planned to start trail operation in Qinhuangdao City, north China's Hebei Province, in the second half of 2016.
The expo is held from May 18 to 22.
