The Salvation Army’s Hadleigh Farm is a 900-acre mixed commercial farm with 600 acres of crops and 300 acres of organic grassland and cattle. In partnership with the farm is the training center, which aims to educate and train individuals, enabling them to further themselves both personally and professionally. Hadleigh Farm has also become an exciting place for the public to visit, offering many activities and attractions. The Rare Breed Center is home to several rare and endangered breeds. Combining the farm’s commitment to environmental conservation with family fun, visitors can interact with these unique animals and learn how they can make a difference.

The Hadleigh Training Centre in Essex offers a wide programme of training to meet the needs of trainees with the ultimate aim of achieving employment. The programme includes training in carpentry, catering and office skills with computing, estates management, horticulture, retail and graphics.
Trainees include adults with special needs; those who have lost confidence due to long-term unemployment; people with medical problems needing to change employment; parents returning to work after raising a family; young people with low literacy skills who lack direction, or who have been through the care system and have taken knocks in life.
Salvation Army Today - 9.4.2018 - Hadleigh Training Center
The Salvation Army’s Hadleigh Training Center provides a program for adults with additional support needs. Working with up to 90 trainees a day, the program focuses on helping individuals achieve employment, as well as working with trainees to build confidence, develop skills and reach their goals. The Center is located on Hadleigh Farm Estate, a 900-acre mixed commercial farm with 600 acres of crops and 300 acres of organic grassland and cattle. The farm has been owned by The Salvation Army, since Founder William Booth bought it in 1891. In addition to the Training Center, visitors are welcome to explore the rare breeds center and a tea room.

London 2012 Women's Mountain Biking Race watched by trainees from Hadleigh training centre
The Salvation Army Hadleigh Farm hosted the London 2012 Women's Mountain Biking event on 11 August 2012.
The Hadleigh Farm site includes the Hadleigh Training Centre that provides employment and training for adults, including people with special needs. Trainees from the centre were among spectators who enjoyed the thrilling events on the penultimate day of the Olympic Games.

English racing cyclist and Team GB Olympic hopeful Alex Dowsett is interviewed by trainees from The Salvation Army's Hadleigh Training Centre at Hadleigh Farm, Essex. Alex, who is recovering from an elbow injury, was interviewed by the trainees after treating them to a mountain bike display.
The Salvation Army Hadleigh Farm, Essex, will host the London 2012 Mountain Bike event. The site is a working farm and has been a centre for training and employment for more than 120 years.
