Visiting The Snow Monkey From Hakuba Valley Japan | Simonthego
One of the most popular excursions if you visit the Hakuba Valley is a day trip to visit the snow monkeys. The monkeys actually hang out in a valley that has lots of natural onsens or thermal baths that they use to bathe and keep warm. Taking a rest day I thought this would be a pretty sweet thing to check out.
If you have any questions about this trip just chuck them in the comments below. Don't get ripped off and pay the 12000Yen to do the visit, it was pretty easy to organise on your own and you will save some money for another day lift pass!

Autumn Walk to Hakubakei (Usuki, Oita Prefecture, Japan)
A friend suggested we go to Hakubakei in Usuki which is a little lake that is great for seeing the autumn foliage. While I think we missed the pick of the leaf viewing, it was still really pretty and the fact that we went on a rainy day made it even more.
Leaf viewing seems to be a legit thing in Japan. That's pretty interesting to me since in Canada, yea the autumn leaves are pretty, but it's not like we would ever go out just to see some leaves.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed seeing this little autumn walk.
Much love and happy travels xo Meggie Kay
