Glad my kids got to see this. Was not happy about my kids seeing this in public. No harm intended to the person or disrespect. Just angered me a bit.

The Atlantic City Boardwalk opened on June 26, 1870, as the first boardwalk in the United States. Two other piers, an amusement pier named Steeplechase Pier and a Heinz 57-owned pier named Heinz Pier were destroyed in the 1944 Great Atlantic Hurricane. Steeplechase was rebuilt after the hurricane, and survived into the casino era. The Steeplechase Pier Heliport on Steel Pier is named in its honor. The last of the four piers still standing is Schiff's Central Pier, which is the only one still offering the same attractions it did when it opened – a few stores, and the playcade, having reopened in 1990 after an $8 million renovation. Why chronic floods are coming to New Jersey
Railroads aren’t great if they’re underwater.
Subscribe to our channel!
Scientists have directly observed sea level rise since the late 18th century. And as they forecast the next 20, 50, and 100 years, sea level rise will continue to accelerate at an alarming rate. That rise won’t just threaten homeowners on the coast -- it will also impact the critical infrastructure that supports many of our largest cities.
While sea level rise is often phrased as an issue of concern in the future, we can already see some of the implications. Many coastal communities have witnessed a sharp uptick in flooding, during lunar king tide periods. Other places are forced to consider what life might be like as the land they currently occupy goes underwater.

About The Powerhouse Arts District
The Powerhouse Arts District is a historic warehouse district in Downtown Jersey City, New Jersey, United States, which takes its name from the unused generating station Hudson and Manhattan Railroad Powerhouse currently undergoing an extensive stabilization effort. Since the millennium the section is called WALDO, an acronym for Work And Live District Overlay, an 11 block section of historic warehouses, some of which have been redeveloped, and is still used on maps and in local parlance. Once part of the no longer extant Horseshoe Section, the neighborhood's informal borders are Newport to the north, Exchange Place to the east, Paulus Hook to the south and Harsimus Cove to the west.
The landmarked Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Warehouse is at Provost St. between 1st and Bay Sts.40°43′16″N 74°2′25″W The Pavonia-Newport, Harsimus Cove, and Harborside stations of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, and the Grove Street (PATH station) are nearby
