2011 Tsunami Hawaii - La Mariana Damage Slideshows
Here's some additional footage and slideshows of damage to La Mariana Sailing club in the Keehi lagoon of Honolulu, HI.
By the end of the day of the tsunami, the workers were able to lasso the pieces of B dock and allow plank access to its boats. The boats in the loop between B and C dock were still trapped since B dock was drug into C dock. The boats from A dock were also pulled apart where they had been smashing together. Some boats were sadly lost.
Near the end I also show some pictures of the floating debris of what used to be Keehi Marine Center. The debris at that time was floating just off the 400 pier of the Keehi State Harbor.

The Sea Village - Oceanfront 2 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo Kona Hawaii Big Island
2 bedroom, 2 bath, Oceanside Condo Sea Village
This first floor (no steps) unit is one of the finest in the Sea Village complex. It is located in Building Number 4, the oceanfront building. You can see the ocean from the living room and kitchen. Sit on your own private oceanfront lanai and view the beautiful coast of Kona and Kailua Village, watch the dolphins and whales frolic in the ocean and witness the gorgeous Kona sunsets. One guest says it all - From the lanai, we saw spinner dolphins, yellow tang, black crab, red crabs, fish jumping from tidepools to the ocean, lots of birds and a shark - beautiful sunsets. This past winter season, guests witnessed a humpback whale giving birth off the rocks in front of the building. This updated unit (new kitchen, shower, tile and carpet) is beautifully and tastefully decorated and has everything you need to enjoy a wonderful vacation in paradise. The Kailua-Kona Coast has the most colorful and spectacular pink, lavender, and orange sunsets in Hawaii. Maybe you’ll be lucky and spot the famous 'Green Flash” at sunset, as the sun dips behind the horizon. You can watch the incredible Kona sunsets right from one of the decks or the lanai, as well as the cruise ships, para-sailing, whales and dolphins.
The Kailua-Kona Historical Village is a short drive from the Sea Village (1 miles north on Alii Drive) . The Village is very quaint, with lots of charm and good shopping right along the water’s edge. Some of the activities you can find in the Village and nearby are: beaches, luau’s, farmer’s markets, art galleries, jewelry shops, restaurants, boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, boogie boarding, and deep sea fishing .... Just about every water sport you can think of! There are also several great golf courses nearby. There is so much to do to stay active, or you can do nothing and just lounge on the beach.
Kona Riviera Villa 201 Ocean side Condo Kailua Kona Vacation Rental

This cozy, comfortable and unique condo is located within the small, quaint, and quiet Kona Riviera Villa complex. The complex is located on Ali' Drive (the ocean drive from the village of Kailua-Kona to the small community of Keauhou). This unit (Number 201) is in the first (oceanfront) building, on the upper level, and has unobstructed, gorgeous ocean views from every room. There are only 4 units located in this oceanfront building at the Villas.
Sit on your very own, private lanai which is direct oceanfront and watch the dolphins and whales frolic in the ocean; relax on the living room sofa looking out at the beautiful Kona sunsets; cook your favorite meal in the lovely recently updated kitchen while looking out at the serene ocean; lie in bed while peacefully dreaming of paradise and watching the ocean tides. If you love the ocean, enjoy peace and quiet, and appreciate a location that has a beachy character, this place is for you. Feel the ocean breezes and fresh salt air every day of your vacation. For your comfort, we recently added A/C to the bedroom.
