Lyrics:
We are the eight major Islands
of Hawaii
In the North Pacific Moana
We’re warm and free
We are the eight major Islands
of Hawaii
In the west of the United States
We’ll be
I'm Hawaiʻi
Also, known as The Big Island
I have 11 of the World's 13 Climate Zones
Without even trying
My big volcano
It’s called Mauna Kea
It’s peak’s the highest point in
all Hawaiian Islands I’d love to meet ya
The Island of Maui
This is what I am
I’m the Second largest of
all the Hawaiian Islands
Haleakalā is my highest point
you see
Its the tallest peak on me in feet at
10,023
I’m O‘ahu
Known as The Gathering Place
The third largest of the Hawaiian Islands
I’m glad we touched base
I have Honolulu
It’s Hawaii’s capital you know
Kaʻala is my highest peak
It’s someplace you could go
My name is Kauaʻi
Soma call me The Garden Isle
The 4th largest of the Hawaiian Islands
My beauty will make you smile
My inactive shield volcano is
Called Kawaikini
It is my highest point
Now sing the chorus with me
We are the eight major Islands
of Hawaii
In the North Pacific Moana
We’re warm and free
We are the eight major Islands
of Hawaii
In the west of the United States
We’ll be
I’m the Island of Molokaʻi
The fifth largest island you’ll meet
Also called The Friendly Isle
To visit me is such a treat
Kamakou is the name of
my highest peak
It’s part of the east side of my island
And where lava once leaked
I wanted to say Hi
My name is Lānaʻi
I’m the 6th largest island
And over 3300 feet high
I also go by the name of
The Pineapple Isle
Because I was a Pineapple plantation
That did last awhile
The island of Niʻihau
Or The Forbidden Isle
I’m the 7th largest of the 8 majors
and 69 square miles
Brighamia insignis plants
Are protected on me
I’m a privately owned Island
With an invite, you can see
Kahoʻolawe
That’s my name if you please
I am the smallest of the 8 majors
Now here’s more about me
I'm just over 44.5 Square Miles
You know
My highest point is over 1,483 ft
Or so
I’m the major Hawaiian Islands
Aloha to you my friends
My capital’s Honolulu
Mahalo this is the end
We are the eight major Islands
of Hawaii
In the North Pacific Moana
We’re warm and free
We are the eight major Islands
of Hawaii
In the west of the United States
We’ll be
Honolulu, Honolulu County, Oahu, Hawaii, United States, North America
Honolulu is the county seat of the City and County of Honolulu. It is the state capital and the most populous city in the U.S. state of Hawaii Situated on the island of Oahu, it is known worldwide as a major tourist destination; Honolulu is the main gateway to Hawaii and a major gateway into the United States of America. It is also a major hub for international business, military defense, as well as famously being host to a diverse variety of east-west and Pacific culture, cuisine, and traditions. Honolulu is both the southernmost and westernmost major United States city. For statistical purposes, the U.S. Census Bureau recognizes the approximate area commonly referred to as City of Honolulu (not to be confused with the City and County) as a census county division (CCD). Honolulu is a major financial center of the islands and of the Pacific Ocean. The population of Honolulu CCD was 390,738 at the 2010 census, while the population of the consolidated city and county was 953,207. Honolulu is the most populous state capital relative to state population. In the Hawaiian language, Honolulu means sheltered bay or place of shelter; alternatively, it means calm port. The old name is said to be Kou, a district roughly encompassing the area from Nuuanu Avenue to Alakea Street and from Hotel Street to Queen Street which is the heart of the present downtown district. The city has been the capital of the Hawaiian islands since 1845 and gained historical recognition following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor near the city on December 7, 1941. Honolulu experiences a tropical semi-arid climate (Köppen classification Bsh) with a mostly dry summer season due to a rain shadow effect that suppresses summer rains and winter rainfall. Temperatures vary little throughout the months, with average high temperatures of 80--90 °F (27--32 °C) and average lows of 65--75 °F (18--24 °C) throughout the year. Temperatures reach or exceed 90 °F (32 °C) on an average 38 days annually, with lows in the upper 50s °F (14--15 °C) occurring once or twice a year. The highest recorded temperature was 95 °F (35 °C) during a heat wave in September 1998. The highest recorded temperature in the state was also recorded later that day in Ni'ihau. The lowest recorded temperature was 52 °F (11 °C) on February 16, 1902, and January 20, 1969. Waters off the coast of Honolulu average 82 °F (28 °C) in the summer months and 77 °F (25 °C) in the winter months. Annual average rain is 17.05 in (433 mm), which mainly occurs during the winter months of October through early April, with very little rainfall during the summer. Honolulu has an average of 278 sunny days and 90 wet days per year. Although Honolulu is known to have a wet and dry season, it is unnoticeable. This is mainly because light showers fall in the summer while heavier rain falls during the winter. Yet, both seasons experience the same amount of rainy days. Although the city is situated in the upper tropics, hurricanes are quite rare. The last recorded hurricane that hit the area was Category 4 Hurricane Iniki in 1992. Tornadoes are also uncommon and usually strike once every 15 years. Waterspouts off the coast are somewhat more common, hitting about once every five years. Kirk Caldwell was elected mayor of Honolulu County on November 6, 2012, and has began serving as the county's 14th mayor on January 2, 2013. The municipal offices of the City and County of Honolulu, including Honolulu Hale, the seat of the city and county, are located in the Capitol District, as are the Hawaii state government buildings. The Capitol District is within the Honolulu Census County Division (CCD), the urban area commonly regarded as the City of Honolulu. The Honolulu CCD is located on the southeast coast of Oahu between Makapuu and Halawa. The division boundary follows the Koolau crestline, so Makapuʻu Beach is in the Koolaupoko District. On the west, the division boundary follows Halawa Stream, then crosses Red Hill and runs just west of Aliamanu Crater, so that Aloha Stadium, Pearl Harbor (with the USS Arizona Memorial), and Hickam Air Force Base are actually all located in the island's Ewa CCD. The Hawaii Department of Public Safety operates the Oahu Community Correctional Center, the jail for the island of Oahu, in Honolulu CCD. The United States Postal Service operates post offices in Honolulu. The main Honolulu Post Office is located by the international airport at 3600 Aolele Street. Federal Detention Center, Honolulu, operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, is in the CDP.

Iolani Palace - Honolulu in the U.S
Iolani Palace, in the capitol district of downtown Honolulu in the U.S. state of Hawai?i, is the only royal palace now a part of the United States. It was used as an official residence of the reigning Hawaiian sovereign and is now a National Historic Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Two monarchs governed from ?Iolani Palace: King Kalakaua and Queen Lili?uokalani, although Kamehameha III, IV, V, and William Charles Lunalilo had their main residences here as well. Hawaii State Capitol District Walkabout
The full city block surrounding the Hawaii State Capitol building is peppered with magnificently significant historic buildings. I spent the entire afternoon on a walkabout just to photograph the grounds and structures that make Hawaii such a unique architectural delight. From Queen Liliuokalani's home to King Kamehameha's Statue in front of the State Judiciary Building, one might wonder where on earth are you.

Hawaii - United States
Hawaii is the newest of the 50 U.S. states (August 21, 1959), and is the only U.S. state made up entirely of islands. It is the northernmost island group in Polynesia, occupying most of an archipelago in the central Pacific Ocean, southwest of the continental United States, southeast of Japan, and northeast of Australia. Hawaii's natural and diverse scenery, warm tropical climate, abundance of public beaches and oceanic surrounding, and active volcanoes make it a popular destination for tourists, surfers, biologists, and volcanologists alike. Due to its mid-Pacific location, Hawaii has many North American and Asian influences along with its own vibrant native culture. Hawaii has over a million permanent residents along with many visitors and U.S. military personnel. Its capital is Honolulu on the island of Oʻahu.
The state encompasses nearly the entire volcanic Hawaiian Island chain, which comprises hundreds of islands spread over 1,500 miles (2,400 km). At the southeastern end of the archipelago, the eight main islands are (from the northwest to southeast) Niʻihau, Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Kahoʻolawe, Maui, and Hawaiʻi. The last is by far the largest and is often called The Big Island to avoid confusion with the state as a whole. The archipelago is physiographically and ethnologically part of the Polynesian subregion of Oceania.
After Alaska, Florida, and California, Hawaii has the fourth-longest coastline in the United States, which is approximately 750 miles (1,210 km) long.

HAWAII: EXPLORING NATURE at MANOA TRAILS and FALLS in OAHU (USA) ????️
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the beautiful island of Oahu, in the American State of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean and let's visit the very popular (and very beautiful) Manoa Hiking Trails and Waterfalls, located just a few kilometers outside of Honolulu.
The Manoa hiking trails are located above Waikiki in the Manoa Valley mountainside. The trails are a somewhat easy but still an adventurous hike through a lush bamboo and guava tree forest.
Oahu is a U.S. island in the Central Pacific, part of the Hawaiian island chain and home to the state capital, Honolulu. Highlights of the city include historic Chinatown and the Punchbowl, a crater-turned-cemetery. Waikiki is an iconic beach, dining and nightlife area. West of Honolulu is Pearl Harbor, site of the WWII's 1941 bombing attack and home to the USS Arizona Memorial.
The prize at the end of this hour hike is a towering 150 ft Oahu waterfall.
