From Heathrow airport to London via Heathrow express train - How to
The quickest way to get into London for the money. 15 min. from the airport to Paddington station. 22 British pounds for the ride opposed to 80 pounds in a taxi that will take you an hour. One thing to note, there is a cheaper but slower way and that is to taxi the London underground (also called the tube) into London. It runs about 5.50 pounds but takes over an hour due to the amount of stops it makes.

The Heathrow Express is the quickest way to travel from central London to Heathrow airport. This video shows trains from Paddington to Heathrow Terminal 5.

Heathrow express train service (HEX)
Taking the Heathrow Express from London Paddington to Heathrow airport terminal 5.
The Heathrow express is one of the quickest ways to reach central London or heathrow airport compared to the underground or taking a taxi.
With a journey time of just over 15 minutes its a very good way to travel. The 5.50 GBP advanced fares are very good, but if paying at the last minute fares can be very expensive and I would suggest taking the tube, which takes around 1 hour.
Heathrow express operates around 150 services a day, carrying an estimated 17,000 passengers.
Children under 15 travel for free and WIFI is free on the train.

Full Train Journey: Heathrow Express from London Paddington to Heathrow Central Class 332
This is a video of me taking the Heathrow Express from London Paddington to Heathrow Central which provides access to Terminals 2 and 3 of the London Heathrow Airport. The journey took 15 minutes without any stops along the way. I paid £14.30 for a one way ticket since I booked between 30 and 90 days in advance. Had I booked even earlier, I only would have to pay £12.10. The Heathrow Express departs from platforms 6 and 7 from the Paddington Station, which is a short walk away from the platforms used by the Hammersmith and City and Circle Lines of the London Underground. Please note that only stairs are provided for this entrance - If you are unable to carry your luggage down the stairs, you will have to walk a bit further.
The Heathrow Express is served by Class 332 trains. Hardly anyone was on board the train, so it will be worth spending slightly more if you cannot stand the crowds on the Piccadilly Line. Cup holders and power sockets are provided on the wall to the side of the seats. In addition, BBC News is provided for customers. Funny enough, they reported on the conviction of 9 leaders of Occupy Central including Benny Tai (戴耀廷) whom I spotted in the street this New Year's Day! The journey is mostly above ground, only entering the tunnel when we got close to the airport.

London to Heathrow Airport - The Heathrow Express Speed Challenge Film - Unravel Travel TV
Heathrow Express turns 18 and throws down the gauntlet to 'Queen of Speed' Victoria Pendleton. As a former British Olympic track cyclist and successful amateur jockey, Pendleton is renowned for her competitive spirit that has proven she is the ‘Queen of Speed’ both on the track and the turf. Today she takes on the asphalt as she attempts to beat the Heathrow Express from London Paddington to Heathrow on board a 600CC limo-bike, currently considered to be one of the fastest ways to get around London.
Opened in July 1998, the business class airport service remains the fastest way to travel between central London and Heathrow, the UK’s hub airport which in 2015 handled a record 75 million passengers, a 2.2 per cent increase from 2014. Offering up to 150 services a day, the 15-minute Heathrow Express service is the preferred fast commute for many of the global workforce travelling via Heathrow and now carries an average of 17,000 passengers a day (and nearly 100 million people to date) to and from the busy capital.

Heathrow Express - Heathrow to Paddington - 16/03/16
The Heathrow Express service opened in 1998 creating a fast and efficient link between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport.
Construction began in 1993, major works being electrifying the Great Western Main Line between Paddington and Airport Junction, a flying junction at Stockley, where the new line diverged from the GWML and two 5-mile single-bore tunnels to and linking the airport terminal buildings. The service is operated by Class 332 electric multiple units taking power from 25 kV AC overhead wires. Trains run every 15 minutes from 05.10 until 23.25,
The Journey time between Heathrow Terminal 5 (subsequently opened 2008) to Paddington as seen on this video takes 21 minutes. Unfortunately after coming out of the tunnels I missed my desired shot of Stockley Flyover due to a ‘ticket inspection’. However it was a great trip and I was very impressed with the excellent service.
