The 85 m high tower is famous for its carillon that sounds every day at noon. The late Gothic Old Town Hall with its ballroom was built by Jörg von Halsbach in 1480.
A few steps away, in easterly direction we come to the Holy Spirit Church and continue our way to the Viktualienmarkt, Munich's most famous daily food market. On the way back we visit the courtyards of the new town hall and walk along the tradition restaurant Donisl in the Weinstrasse.
We visit the Theatinerstrasse and the Maximilianstrasse, Munich's most important shopping streets. At the beginning of the Maximilianstrasse you see the Max-Joseph Square framed by the Bavarian State Opera, the Munich Residence and the old post.

Places to see in ( Munich - Germany ) Holy Ghost Church
Heiliggeistkirche is a Gothic hall church in Munich, southern Germany, originally belonging to the Hospice of the Holy Ghost. It was remodeled in 1724-30 by Johann Georg Ettenhofer (vaults, renovation of pillars); in the interior are Rococo frescoes and stucco ornament by the Asam brothers. After the demolition of the hospice buildings in 1885, Franz Lšwel added three bays at the west end of the church and gave it a Neo-Baroque facade. The church suffered severe damage during World War II and its interior furnishings were largely destroyed; extensive rebuilding and restoration was carried out after the war.
The interior of the church was renovated in 1991. Of the original Gothic church only the choir buttresses and the north wall of the nave remain. The tower (1730) has a lantern dome of characteristic Munich type. The Neo-Baroque facade shows use of elements borrowed from Viscardi's Trinity Church. The interior is aisled, with an ambulatory round the choir. The nave is barrel-vaulted, with small vaults over the windows. The aisles have groined vaulting.
Among several items of art-historical interest in the church are: in the portico, to left and right of the main entrance, parts of a bronze memorial made in 1608 by Hans Krumpper for Duke Ferdinand of Bavaria, Infante of Spain; in the chancel, the high altar by Nikolaus Stuber (1730), with an altarpiece by Ulrich Loth depicting The Effusion of the Holy Ghost (1661) and two flanking figures of angels by Johann Georg Greiff (1729); in the right aisle, a series of wall paintings (1725) by Peter Jacob Horemans illustrating the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit; in the Kreuzkapelle, a late Gothic crucifix (1510); and, midway along the left aisle, an altar with an allegedly miraculous image of the Hammerthaler Madonna (15th century).

St Peter's Church, Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Visit the St Peter's Church in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
The parish church of Saint Peter, whose 91 meters high tower is commonly known as Alter Peter - Old Peter - and which is emblematic of Munich, is the oldest recorded parish church in Munich and presumably the originating point for the whole city.
Heidelberg's Main Square and Pedestrian Lane, the Marktplatz and Hauptstrasse
We visit the main market square and pedestrian lane od Heidelberg, Germany. One of the main places you want to see in Heidelberg is the Marketplace Square, or “Marktplatz” and the little alleys around this central market square. It’s nice and peaceful early in the day before all the other tourists arrive, so if you get there after breakfast you can have the center of town to yourself for a while.
Typical of most European towns, the marketplace has always been the main square, hosting a variety of activities from food sales to public executions. People are still drawn here to the outdoor tables set up for eating, drinking beer and watching other people. There are little shop stalls built into the wall of the big church between the buttresses, in a tradition that has been carried on here since the Middle Ages and typical of many other churches throughout the region. These stalls sell tourist items, so it is a good place to look for postcards, t-shirts and anything that says Heidelberg on it.
23. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is an outdoor farmers market until 2:00pm, with plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables and cheeses and flowers to buy. You might have a picnic later in the day, or just browse and watch the locals in action.
The Hauptstrasse was one of the first pedestrian streets created and all of Europe, of course. Earlier it was a street for cars, it would be a narrow street, but it would've had busy automobile traffic, but many decades ago. The town decided they wanted to create this wonderful ambience of pedestrian mall that stretches about a mile from the main square into the more modern downtown and of course since then and the last 3040 years. Throughout Europe, you find many streets and the downtowns have been converted from automobile streets to pedestrian malls and then the cities continue expanding their pedestrian zones into the side streets and into the back streets and it just keeps on going. The cities have discovered that by keeping the cars out you bring people in and it's better for business.
Standing in the middle of the Marktplatz gives you a fine perspective on the heart of town, with the old City Hall on one side the Holy Ghost Church (“Heiliggeistkirche”) on the other. In between, the outdoor cafés usually have their tables set up for food and beer.
The main street reaches out from the marketplace in both directions You will be drawn irresistibly down the alluring Hauptstrasse, the high street with one shop after another in a lineup of historic buildings that continues for a mile.

Well keep going to the end of the pedestrian zone and there you will run into the busy modern city. That's the modern part will you'll find that Galleria Kaufhof which is a big department store. And they’ve got everything inside, including very nice bakery and sandwich bar right out front.
It's a busy spot here at Bismarckplatz. This is where the buses come in the trams come in. It's a major transit center. So this whole neighborhood is really quite interesting to see the more modern, the less touristic side of Heidelberg. There's really not much in the way of historic sites down here, but it's fascinating nonetheless. To watch this tram action. There are a number of different tramlines and lot of people catching the bus who are transferring from one tram to another and notice how safe and easy it is. They can walk right in front of the trains. No problem. People hop off one vehicle and hop onto another vehicle and continue on their way.

Places to see in ( Munich - Germany ) Burgersaalkirche
The Bürgersaal (Citizen's Hall) is a historical building in Munich, Germany. Also known as Bürgersaalkirche since the consecration of the altar on May 13, 1778, it is the prayer and meeting room of the Marian Men Congregation Annunciation. It was built in 1709/1710 under design by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi.
The church is divided into an upper church on the upper floor and a lower church on the lower floor. The baroque façade follows the construction inside, which is divided into an upper church and a lower church. Above the entrance stands a figure of the enthroned Madonna and Child. On the upper floor was the prayer room, which then already since 1778 has been used as a church.
A masterpiece of the interior decoration is the sculpture of the Guardian Angel with child from Ignaz Günther from 1763 and a relief of Andreas Faistenberger from 1710 from the former high altar which was destroyed in Word War II. In the lower floor is the grave of Rupert Mayer.

Well spent afternoon in Marienplatz with my very beautiful kabayan, Monica.
The weather is so nice in Munich so as the food and the ambiance.
We tried the very famous pork knuckle and of course their sausages.
I did not get the chance, to be specific on all the spots that you can visit here in Marienplatz because of the limited time given to us.
There's also a lot of people because it's a Saturday so it's very crowded. However, it did not demotivate us to enjoy our time and savor the beauty Marienplatz has to offer.
