TILLAMOOK AIR MUSEUM / HD
In 1942, the U.S. Navy began construction of 17 wooden hangars around the U.S. coastlines to house the K-class blimps being used for antisubmarine coast patrol and convoy escort. Two of these hangars were built at Naval Air Station Tillamook. They were commissioned in December 1942 and served the Oregon-Washington coastal area.
Construction of the two hangars was rushed to completion. Hangar B was the first one built and was completed in August of 1943. Hangar A (which was destroyed in a 1992 fire) was completed in only 27-days!
Stationed at NAS Tillamook was Squadron ZP-33 with a complement of 8 K-ships. The K-ships were 252-feet long and filled with 425,000 cubic feet of helium. With a range of 2,000-miles and an ability to stay aloft for three-days, they were well suited for coastal patrol and convoy escort. Naval Air Station Tillamook was decommissioned in 1948.
Since 1994, the remaining hangar has been home to one of the finest collections of privately owned WW II flying aircraft in the nation and has the distinction of being the largest wooden structure in the world!

ABOUT THIS FEED:
Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, in the Canadian Rockies, is located on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP), where their Shuswap Sub meets their Mountain Sub. The Shuswap Sub runs to the west to Kamloops, BC (towards Vancouver, BC), and the Mountain Sub runs to the east to Field, BC, through Rogers Pass.
The CP traverses the Canadian Rockies over 2 passes. Rogers Pass, which is to the immediate east of Revelstoke, and further east, Kicking Horse Pass, which is to the immediate east of Field. Rogers Pass is at 4,360 feet (1,330 meters), and Kicking Horse Pass is at 5,339 feet (1,627 meters). To the west of Revelstoke is the lower Eagle Pass, at 1,804 feet (550 meters).
Among the freight trains seen here are unit potash, unit grain, and unit coal. Loaded westbounds feature both mid-train and end-of-train DPU’s, and empty eastbounds have fewer engines, both on front and as DPU’s. Many but not all eastbounds will stop to enter the yard, which is located to the east of the museum and cameras. Also seen are manifests, intermodal, and combined intermodal/manifest..
On occasion, the gates will activate, but will soon after deactivate, with no train, which is due to the switcher in the yard proceeding far forward enough to enter the crossing's track circuit.
There are no VIA Rail passenger trains through Revelstoke, however, during part of the year the Rocky Mountaineer can be seen.
There are 2 ATCS layouts, one for each sub, but there is no server coverage. No radio feeds are available.
There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

THE Longest and Heaviest train OFFICIALLY in the world
Australian BHP Iron ore train, the longest train to ever run in the world, this train is officially in the guinness book of world records for the longest train.
The record was set on june 21, 2001 in western australia between newman and port headland, a distance of 275km (170 miles) and the train consisted of 682 loaded iron ore wagons and 8 GE AC6000 locomotives giving a gross weight of almost 100,000 tonnes and moved 82,262 tonnes of ore, the train was 7.353 km (4.568 miles) long.
BHP iron ore did this to test locotrol which is where locomotives are evenly placed along the length of the train.
The locotrol setup was 2 locos-166 wagons, 2 locos-168 wagons, 2 locos-168 wagons, 1 loco-180 wagons then the last locomotive on the back.
This very long train is controlled by only one driver.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Cedar Rapids /ˈsiːdər ˈræpɨdz/ is the second largest city in Iowa and is the county seat of Linn County. The city lies on both banks of the Cedar River, 20 miles (32 km) north of Iowa City and 100 miles (160 km) east of Des Moines, the state's capital and largest city. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar Designates Connecticut River as National Blueway
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar signs the Secretarial Order as part of the America's Great Outdoors initiative that establishes the Connecticut River as the first in a system of National Blueways. This Blueway designation for the Connecticut River watershed was achieved through the work of many partners and will result in economic and ecological benefits up and down the river. The entire Connecticut River is a part of the Silvio O. Conte National Fish & Wildlife Refuge managed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Abandoned Ship in Beautiful Port Credit
This old ship has been stripped and left to be used as a break wall in the beautiful Port Credit marina. Here is some more info on the area.
Port Credit is a former municipality now located within the city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the mouth of the Credit River on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Port Credit's boundaries are the Queen Elizabeth Way to the north, Seneca Avenue and the western edge of the Adamson Estate to the east and Godfrey's Lane and the townhouse complex located on the west side of Shawnmarr Road to the west. It had a population of 10,260 at the 2001 census.
Port Credit was originally a settlement of the Mississauga Ojibwe first nations band and a trading post established in 1720 for the exchange of goods from the Europeans for furs trapped by the Mississaugas. After the War of 1812, a harbour was established by the Mississaugas together with European settlers. In 1847, the Mississaugas left the village to relocate on the Six Nations Reserve to be with other band members and first nations. Industry was established on the village periphery including an oil refinery, but the village is no longer a substantial industrial district. The village survived into the 20th century, becoming an independent municipality in 1909, until it was merged with the City of Mississauga in 1974.
Today, the original core village is now a heritage conservation district. The harbour is mostly used for recreational boating.

They fund the Nicholas School of the Environment’s Stanback Internship Program. Since the program’s inception in 1996, over 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students have benefited. The Stanback Internship Program has grown into a thriving partnership between Duke and scores of organizations throughout the country.
Mr. Stanback is joined by Tom Lambeth, Director Emeritus of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, and Sanford Professor Joel Fleishman.

214th Commencement Exercises of Bowdoin College
Bowdoin College conferred 472 bachelor of arts degrees to the Class of 2019 during its 214th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
The Class includes students from forty-five states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and nineteen other countries and territories.
