MINING FOR DIAMONDS IN NEW YORK!
We take you to a diamond mine near Herkimer, NY where we meet with the owner and smash some rocks searching for the elusive Diamonds.
SUBSCRIBE:
Get ready for some gratuitous rock smashing!!!! We smash, crack, chisel, and break open boulders searching for the Herkimer Diamonds.
Now these aren't actual diamonds but are double-terminated quartz crystals discovered within exposed outcrops of dolostone in and around Herkimer County, New York and the Mohawk River Valley!!! The diamond in their name is due to both their clarity and natural faceting - crystals possess double termination points and 18 total faces (six on each point, six around the center). You can only find them in this part of the world.
We highly recommend taking a trip to Herkimer to experience mining for these diamonds. If you do, visit Ted at the Ace of Diamonds mine in Middleville, NY!!!!

This diamond is one of the largest diamonds ever found! The diamond is from the egyptian era and belonged to a pharaoh. Here are some of the questions I can answer for you at this time.
1. What were in the two bags under the spike moss ball? They were two bags filled with rocks used as weights to help sink the ball.
2. Why did you break the clay ball with the symbol on it? The ball felt very heavy and could tell something was inside of it.
3. What was the writings on the ball? The writings on the ball was a accent egyptian symbol of the crook and flail. The symbol meant royalty.
4. How much is the diamond worth? Yet to be determined till it goes up for auction July 2019.
