【内容简介】
1941年，侵华日军向抗日根据地发起了疯狂的“扫荡”和“清乡”，同时，蒋介石制造了震惊中外的皖南事变，掀起了第二次“反共”高潮。中国人民的抗日战争进入了最困难的时期。
为了打破侵华日军的进攻和国民党的经济封锁所造成的极大困难，中国共产党领导的陕甘宁边区政府，号召边区军民“一边战斗、一边生产”，开展了轰轰烈烈的大生产运动。在“南泥湾”，一群来自五湖四海的中华儿女，创造了一个令世人赞叹的奇迹，谱写了一首壮丽的革命史诗。
本片讲述的就是1941年春，八路军一二0师三五九旅长兼政委王震的率领下，连长老周（任帅 饰）奉命开进南泥湾，披荆斩棘，战胜重重困难，将荒无人烟的南泥湾建设成了“平川稻谷香，肥鸭遍池塘。到处是庄稼，遍地是牛羊”的陕北好江南。
影片以一名八路军女战士“苗子”（彭丹 饰）的日记和心路历程为线索，描述了在那段激情燃烧的岁月里，在轰轰烈烈的大生产运...

Chinese mainland, Taiwan to sign 2 more cooperation deals
We start our program with the developing relations between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan...Talks between the mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits and the Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation have begun in Taipei. The two sides are expected to sign two agreements on Thursday.
TAIWAN: CHINA TO STAGE NEW ROUND OF MILITARY EXERCISES

The Taiwanese military remains on high alert following Beijing's announcement to begin a new set of war games starting Monday.
Troops have been busy training on the Quemoy archipelago, situated just 50 kilometres from where China's military exercises are to take place.
Back in 1958, China shelled the tiny Quemoy islands in what was then feared to be a prelude to invasion.
This time around, the Taiwanese are prepared for the worst.
With China announcing yet another round of military exercises, troops have been taking part in drills for several days now.
China's exercises are part of a strategy aimed at putting a halt to what Beijing sees as a drive to make Taiwan independent.
China claims sovereignty over the island, whose Nationalist government fled the mainland in 1949 after losing a civil war.
The Quemoy (or Kinmen) islands are in a location of strategic importance in the Taiwan Straights, blocking the mouth of Amoy Bay and offering protection for Taiwan and the Pescadores islands.
About 30-thousand military personnel are stationed in Quemoy.
Until recently, the area has only been used as a military facility and Taiwanese civilians are forbidden from flying to the islands.
For most of the residents of Quemoy, life goes on despite the ongoing tension between China and Taiwan.
But some people are feeling the effects on their business.
Restaurant owners have complained that there are hardly any tourists - customers have dwindled since the military exercises began.
Hotel owners likewise have experienced a drop in their occupancy rate.
Here at Hotel River Kinmen, one of 30 hotels on the islands, the entire guest list is made up of a handful of journalists covering the story.

We used to have three thousand visitors a day, but now the only visitors who come here are business people. Tour groups delayed their trips (because of the exercises).

At the Quemoy airport, Taiwanese military troops on holiday wait for the first plane to arrive from Taipei since Thursday, when flights were cancelled due to foggy weather.
These soldiers may be the lucky ones, relieved that they will soon be going home.
But for those troops who remain at Quemoy, the tension continues until the Chinese military exercises are over.

Hero firefighters in China rescue 20 dogs and cats from burning pet store
A pet store caught on fire in eastern China’s Anhui province. Firefighters broke down the door and started rescuing dogs and cats, carrying them out of the store.
Anti-China demonstration in Manila
(9 Apr 2019) Hundreds of protesters gathered at the Chinese Consulate in Manila on Tuesday, demanding the removal of Chinese presence in the disputed islands in the South China Sea.
Various activist groups joined in the demonstration, from Filipino cyclists to youth groups, holding up anti-China placards and banners while waving the Philippine flag.
They also criticized Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's government for not standing against China.
Neri Colmenares, the protest leader and a senatorial candidate running against Duterte's senatorial bets, said Filipinos have the courage to assert our territorial integrity.
Duterte has adopted a non-confrontational approach in territorial spats with Beijing while seeking Chinese infrastructure funds, trade and investment.
He has often had to walk a tightrope when discussing China's increasingly assertive actions in the disputed waters, where Manila and Beijing, along with four other governments, have wrangled for control of territory.
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs last week issued a rare public rebuke of large numbers of Chinese vessels near islands and islets occupied by the Philippines in the disputed waters, saying the Chinese presence was illegal.
The Philippine military has monitored more than 200 Chinese vessels from January to March in a disputed area named Sandy Cay near a Philippine-occupied island called Pag-asa by Filipinos.
The protest was also held to commemorate the Philippine holiday 'Araw ng Kagitingan' (Day of Valor), which remembers the heroic efforts of Filipino troops during World War II.

Taiwan Still Has a Giant World War 2 Era Artillery Gun (Pointed at China)
Could it fight?
Taipei will use anything it has to resist an invasion by Beijing.
The 240-millimeter M1 howitzer, or “Black Dragon,” was the heaviest piece of field artillery the U.S. Army deployed in World War II. The huge guns smashed the Axis Powers’ concrete fortifications in Europe to rubble, and blasted Chinese mountain bunkers during the Korean War.
“There was little call for the type to be employed whenever the fighting was fluid as it took too long to emplace the weapons or get them out of action, but when they were used the heavy 163.3 kg (360-lb) high explosive shells were devastating weapons,” Chris Bishop wrote in the exhaustive Complete Encyclopedia of Weapons of World War II.
The Army retired them in the 1950s. And that would have been the end of the story, were it not for Taiwan burying them deep inside forts on the Kinmen and Matsu islands a short hop from the Chinese mainland. From Kinmen, the Black Dragon’s 14-mile range can reach Xiamen, a city of five million people along China’s southeast coast.
The message — intimidation. Deterrence. Don’t invade.
