The Heron Tower (officially 110 Bishopsgate) is a commercial skyscraper in London. It stands 230 metres (755 ft) tall including its 28-metre (92 ft) mast (202 metres (663 ft) excluding the mast) making it the tallest building in the City of London financial district and the third tallest in Greater London and the United Kingdom, after the Shard in Southwark and One Canada Square at Canary Wharf. The Heron Tower is located on Bishopsgate and is bordered by Camomile Street, Outwich Street and Houndsditch.
Construction of the building started in 2007 and was completed in 2011. It is owned by Heron International and is generally known as the Heron Tower, though following a naming dispute in 2014 involving the tenant Salesforce.com the City of London ruled in favour of the property being officially named 110 Bishopsgate. The tower initially struggled to attract tenants in the depths of the Great Recession, but is now fully let.

Heron Tower, London - August 2009
Major progress since the last video. The tower is around 125m tall now (30 floors) and is beginning to have a major impact on the skyline. In my opinion, this is the most exciting stage of the construction process as it starts to become visible from all kinds of places.

Man climbs tallest building in the City of London... with no harness
THIS is the moment a skyscraper climber, dubbed Spiderman, scaled one of London's tallest buildings - without a harness.
Frenchman Alain Robert was filmed today nimbly, but illegally, making his way up the glass clad Heron Tower.
The 56-year-old daredevil, who is known for scaling skyscrapers with his bare hands, said before his climb: I fully feel alive when my life is at stake. It may sound a bit scary and crazy but this is the way it is.
Today Robert, whose feats have included climbing Dubai's 2,717ft (828m) Burj Khalifa, took on the tall building in the City of London.
The illegal ascent of the 662ft (202m) tower - now known as the Salesforce Tower - saw cops arrived and cordon off traffic and pedestrians in the area below.
Slight Mr Robert always carries his passport in a chalk bag because it is very reassuring for the authorities when he is arrested.
Chalk slightly improves the friction between his skin and the building but he also tapes his fingers and wears wafer-thin gloves to try to stop them being shredded by the aggressive building.
It is thought he only decided which building he was going to tackle from a three-strong shortlist on Monday.
He said: I saw it. I touched it a bit. I tried it just a tiny bit.
I am not really knowing much. It is only really when I start climbing that I know. I need to feel it.
There has been 44 years in which I have been climbing. This is what I know as a way of living and expressing myself and living my dreams, my passion and living my life as fully as I can.
Definitely it it dangerous. I have a certain knowledge. I have a solid background.
It is never easy for family having a dad who is doing that kind of stuff but they are used to it. They never asked me to change my lifestyle.

Natwest Tower 42 in City of London Facts and Figures
Follow me for daily London Pics and videos:
Tower 42 is the third-tallest skyscraper in the City of London and the eighth tallest in Greater London. Its original name was the NatWest Tower, having been built to house NatWest's international headquarters. It is still commonly referred to as the NatWest Tower. Seen from above, the shape of the tower resembles that of the NatWest logo (three chevrons in a hexagonal arrangement).
The tower, designed by Richard Seifert and engineered by Pell Frischmann, is located at 25 Old Broad Street. It was built by John Mowlem & Co between 1971 and 1980, first occupied in 1980, and formally opened on 11 June 1981 by Queen Elizabeth II.
The construction cost was £72 million (approximately £278 million today). It is 183 metres (600 ft) high, which made it the tallest building in the United Kingdom until the topping out of One Canada Square at Canary Wharf in 1990. It held the status of tallest building in the City of London for 30 years, until it was surpassed by the Heron Tower in December 2009.
The building today is multi-tenanted and comprises Grade A office space and restaurant facilities, with one restaurant situated on the 24th floor, and the other, a champagne and seafood bar, on the 42nd floor. In 2011 it was bought by the South African businessman Nathan Kirsh for £282.5 million.
