United Kingdom - from Edinburgh to Inverness by AUTO イギリス(エディンバラよりインヴァネスへ車で)
Between Perth and Inverness, the road has been dubbed Killer A9, because of accidents and fatalities where dual-carriageway sections merge into single-carriageway - the principal cause being motorists driving at excessive speeds to overtake lines of slower-moving vehicles before the dual carriageway ends. Dangerous overtaking manoeuvres on the long single-carriageway stretches of the road are also common causes of accidents, as are the non-grade separated junctions along the northern sections, where drivers make a right turn across the opposing traffic flow. - from Wikipedia

Best Drive In Britain A82 Road Glencoe Highlands Scotland
Tour Scotland travel video of part of a road trip drive, with music, on the A82 road to Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands, Britain. The route to Glen Coe is one of the most famous driving roads in Scotland and Britain. The A82 is a major road in Scotland that runs from Glasgow to Inverness via Fort William. The route is derived in several places from the military roads constructed through the Highlands by General George Wade and Major William Caulfeild in the 18th century, along with later roads constructed by Thomas Telford in the 19th century. Tourists find the A82 a popular route because of its scenery, and it serves as a main artery for commercial and heavy goods traffic. Two of the three Highlander films starring Christopher Lambert were filmed here. The opening battle scene near the beginning of the film takes place between the mountains of Buchaille Etive Mor and Buchaille Etive Beag, at the entrance to the Glen. This Highlands location featured in Skyfall the James Bond movie, and Harry Potter films mainly because it is the most famous Scottish glen and one of the most dramatic landscapes in the world. The A82 runs from Glasgow to Fort William and Inverness, passing along the shores of Loch Lomond and Loch Ness and in the shadow of Ben Nevis along the way. It is probably the most important trunk route serving the West Highlands of Scotland, and along its route uses pieces of road first built in the 1750s. Glencoe was the scence of one of the most infamous massacres in Scottish history

HST in the Highlands, Aviemore to Edinburgh | The Highland Chieftain
1080p HD!
On-board the daily southbound HST through the Scottish Highlands, the 07:55 from Inverness to London King's Cross on Thursday 11th April 2013.
This video includes a look at the scenery the highland mainline has to offer as it curves through the Cairngorms national park and a little look at the stations along the route!
I've filmed along this route a few times but they were on the Sleeper when its dark so you can't really appreciate the scenery as much as you can during the day.
And yes it was actually snowing at times as well, still in April!
Thanks for watching!

Driving Britain's Most Dangerous A-Road - The West Scotland Adventure - Stage 1
* Tarmac Tourism // Asphalt Adventures // Road Reviews * Stage 1 of The Retro Lab’s West Scotland Adventure saw us driving the A9, A889 and A86 from Gretna Green on the Scottish Border to our hotel in Roybridge which is near Fort William, a distance of 221 miles.
The A889, which we are currently driving, is reportedly Britain's most dangerous A-road and has an accident rate that twice as high as Britain's second most dangerous A-road, the A537.
We were running really late because of all the roadwork’s and reduced speed limits we encountered on our journey to Scotland, check in at the hotel closed at 10:00pm but luckily the roads were clear which allowed us to make good progress to ensure we got there in time.
We are currently travelling through Glen Spean and roughly following the route of the River Spean.
This is the Laggan Dam, which was built in 1934 and is used for generating electricity. It was awarded “Category A” listed building status in 2011.
Roybridge is a small village found in the Kilmonivaig Parish of Inverness-shire in the Scottish Highlands. It lies between the villages of Spean Bridge and Newtonmore and on the former West Highland Railway line that runs from Crianlarich to Fort William.
Notable former residents of Roybridge include the parents of Australia’s only recognised saint; Mary MacKillop, who both lived in Roybridge before moving to Australia.
The West Scotland Adventure was a 2000 mile road trip to find the best roads and scenery in West Scotland. Subscribe so you don't miss an episode!
