Downtown Houston has two major league
sports venues. Minute Maid Park (formerly Enron Field),
which opened in 2000, is home to the MLB Astros and the
Toyota Center home to the NBA Rockets, and AHL Aeros
opened in 2003. The Downtown Houston Theatre District is
one of the largest in the country as measured by the number of
theater seats. Houston is one of only five cities in the United
States with permanent professional resident companies in all
of the major performing art disciplines of opera, ballet, music,
and theater. Venues in the theater district include the Wortham
Center (opera and ballet), the Alley Theatre (theater), the
Hobby Center (resident and traveling musical theater, concerts,
events), the Verizon Wireless Theater (concerts and events)
and Jones Hall (symphony). The George R. Brown Convention
Center, with its 1,200,000 square feet (111,000 m2) of flexible
exhibit, meeting, and registration space and adjacent hotel, is
frequently used for conventions, trade shows, and community
meetings. Downtown Houston is home to the flagship Macy's
(former Foley's) Department Store (founded in 1900), which
moved to its current location in 1947. It has 10 levels and it
occupies an entire Houston square city block. In 2006 this
store, along with all other Foley's stores, was renamed Macy's.
The Houston Downtown Tunnel System is also home to many
shops and restaurants.

the 4th largest city in the US. Video focuses on the downtown area of the city and passes by a number of popular attractions and points of interest. Enjoy! Tag your favorite spots in the comments below! Houston is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Texas, fourth most populous city in the United States, as well as the sixth most populous in North America, with an estimated 2018 population of 2.3 million residents. Houston is the principal city of the Greater Houston metropolitan area, which is the fifth most populous metropolitan statistical area in the United States and the second most populous in Texas after the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, with a population of 7 million in 2018. Comprising a total area of 637.4 square miles (1,651 km2), Houston is the eighth most expansive city in the United States (including consolidated city-counties). It is the largest city in the United States by total area, whose government is similarly not consolidated with that of a county or borough. The arrival of the 20th century saw a convergence of economic factors which fueled rapid growth in Houston, including a burgeoning port and railroad industry, the decline of Galveston as Texas' primary port following a 1900 hurricane, the subsequent construction of the Houston Ship Channel, and the Texas oil boom. In the mid-20th century, Houston's economy diversified as it became home to the Texas Medical Center—the world's largest concentration of healthcare and research institutions—and NASA's Johnson Space Center, where the Mission Control Center is located. Houston's economy since the late-20th century has a broad industrial base in energy, manufacturing, aeronautics, and transportation. Leading in healthcare sectors and building oilfield equipment, Houston has the second most Fortune 500 headquarters of any U.S. municipality within its city limits (after New York City). The Port of Houston ranks first in the United States in international waterborne tonnage handled and second in total cargo tonnage handled. Nicknamed the Space City and H-Town, Houston has become a global city, with strengths in culture, medicine, and research. The city has a population from various ethnic and religious backgrounds and a large and growing international community. Houston is the most diverse metropolitan area in Texas and has been described as the most racially and ethnically diverse major metropolis in the U.S. It is home to many cultural institutions and exhibits, which attract more than 7 million visitors a year to the Museum District. Houston has an active visual and performing arts scene in the Theater District and offers year-round resident companies in all major performing arts.
Cordúa: Foods of the Americas
Cordúa: Foods of the Americas by Michael Cordúa & David Cordúa with John DeMers Photography by Julie Soefer
A quarter century ago, a Nicaraguan born in the American Canal Zone became a chef with a restaurant in Houston, Texas. That eatery, called Churrascos after a style of beef cookery then unknown in the United States, became a hit despite its most obvious failing: it was Latin but not Tex-Mex, and involved no tacos, enchiladas or burritos. The Cordúa family became a Texas restaurant legend, the success story behind several locations of Churrascos, the soaring Artista at Houston's Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, the casual-fun Amazon Grill, and what perhaps is the family's ultimate culinary and architectural signature, Americas. This book, marking their twenty-fifth anniversary, celebrates their story and their vision—and generously shares their iconic recipes.

Houston Flange Bearings - Powerhouse Bearing & Supply, Inc. - TX
Houston Flange Bearings - - [PH] 713-956-9305 [Precise] Houston Flange Bearings - Se Habla Español!
Houston Flange Bearings
You will find in Houston flange bearings, pillow block bearings, and take-up bearing units all have housing with a bearing mounted inside it. They are available in a wide variety of materials, mounting configurations, and have a wide selection of bearing features. Each of these mounted units act as a way to position the bearing securely for reliable operation.
The most popular Houston flange bearings are either two-bolt or four-bolt designs. Small two-bolt designs are usually referred to as flangettes, but are completely different from the heavier duty two-bolt flange series. The flangettes are typically made from pressed steel since they do not usually need to handle high loads.
Bearings that are mounted within a flanged housing are utilized when the mounting surface is perpendicular to a shaft axis. The flange housing is available in two, three, or four-hole configurations. This allows bearings to be moved and aligned to better accommodate long shafts.
Two-bolt flanged ball bearing units have a diamond or winged-shape with two holes for mounting. Four-bolt flanged ball bearing units have a square shape with four holes for mounting to accommodate higher loads than two-bolt flanges.
If you need help in selecting the best products for your particular application, please remember that Powerhouse Supply, Inc. is only a phone call away at 713-956-9305. We are here to answer your questions about Houston flange bearings or any other type of bearings you may be looking for.

Every Trane system is tested in some of the most extreme conditions found in nature. We freeze, broil, stress, drop, shock, expose, listen and finally take ‘em home with us to ensure they’re truly unstoppable. Trane Reliability Engineers know exactly how hard it is to stop a Trane. They make them that way. And while they've put our products up against the most extreme conditions in our SEET lab, they always want to see how far they can take it. At the SEET (Systems Extreme Environmental Test) lab in Tyler, Texas, Trane products are put through 16 weeks of bone-chilling cold and blistering heat, in repeating two-week sessions. Jackson Air & Heat has been serving Sugar Land and surrounding areas since 1982. As a family owned and operated business, we're proud of the fact that over 80% of our new customers are referred by their satisfied neighbors, family and friends. From homes to workplaces, from basic maintenance to complicated repairs and installations, our technicians possess the professional training and passion for details to make sure every job is done right. We like to say we have a License to Chill. Our customers like to savor the comfort that shows how well we keep our word. The Trane brand is the most recognized, most preferred and most highly rated brand of residential heating, cooling and ventilation. Trane has long been the world's largest producer of the massive chillers in commercial air conditioning systems. But our industry leadership today is based on the comprehensive systems we design to accommodate the specific needs of our customers' buildings, complete with sophisticated controls as well as chillers, all supported with Trane parts and services. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality. At Trane, we're all about air – cool air, warm air, clean air. For more than a century the Trane name has identified products and technology that stretched the world's idea of what was possible – a tradition that's still very much with us. In many ways Trane is a classic American success story that grew into a global one. It began with our founder, James Trane, a Norwegian immigrant who opened his own plumbing shop in La Crosse, WI, in 1885.

Houston is the most populous city in Texas and the fourth-most populous city in the United States, located in Southeast Texas near the Gulf of Mexico, following New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago respectively. With a census-estimated 2014 population of 2.239 million within a land area of 599.6 square miles (1,553 km2), it also is the largest city in the Southern United States, as well as the seat of Harris County. It is the principal city of Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land, which is the fifth-most populated metropolitan area in the United States.
Houston was founded in 1836 near the banks of Buffalo Bayou (now known as Allen's Landing) and incorporated as a city on June 5, 1837. The city was named after former General Sam Houston, who was president of the Republic of Texas and had commanded and won at the Battle of San Jacinto 25 miles (40 km) east of where the city was established. The burgeoning port and railroad industry, combined with oil discovery in 1901, has induced continual surges in the city's population. In the mid-20th century, Houston became the home of the Texas Medical Center—the world's largest concentration of healthcare and research institutions—and NASA's Johnson Space Center, where the Mission Control Center is located.
Houston's economy has a broad industrial base in energy, manufacturing, aeronautics, and transportation. It is also leading in health care sectors and building oilfield equipment; only New York City is home to more Fortune 500 headquarters within its city limits. The Port of Houston ranks first in the United States in international waterborne tonnage handled and second in total cargo tonnage handled. Nicknamed the Space City, Houston is a global city, with strengths in business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine, and research. The city has a population from various ethnic and religious backgrounds and a large and growing international community. Houston is the most diverse city in Texas and has been described as the most diverse in the United States. It is home to many cultural institutions and exhibits, which attract more than 7 million visitors a year to the Museum District.
