The food is great, the people are amazing, and the landscapes are gorgeous. I wish I could come back soon.
This trip of 2 weeks in Japan was one of the best in Asia, from the streets of Tokyo to the temples of Kyoto, crossing by the ruins of Hiroshima, I loved this trip so much.

I made my way to the Naritasan Gardens and the Shinsho-ji Temple, what an experience! I may also have cried seeing the Sakura but that came crashing down when my eyes started stinging #TimeForANewEyeliner LOL

Join us on the last episode of ‘Too much joy’ as we meander through the streets of Tokyo from owl cafes to ancient shrines this bustling city blew our minds.
We came to truly understand kawaii in Harajuku and swarmed like moths throughout Akihabara.
After a hostel flood swept us away from the culinary delight of Asakusa we took shelter in Koenji.
We navigated Shinjuku nightlife with the outrageous robot cafe being just the appetiser for what we were to see in Shibuya.
A peppering of fanboy joy happened as we visited the Gundam mobile suit statue and devoured tempura.
We finished up our trip with some unique shopping experiences and a final 7/11 meal before flying out of Narita.

The Historic Town of Uchiko – Japan’s Well-Kept Secret 内子 | A Travel Film

Behind the scenes:
The town of Uchiko is located in a mountainous area of Ehime Prefecture in Shikoku. It has one of the most beautifully preserved historic districts in Japan. When I visited Uchiko o a day in May 2018 there were just a few tourist around. It felt just like when I visited Kanazawa in 2005. This place seems to be still an insider’s tipp, being almost completely ignored by foreign tourists who mostly stick to the Golden Route (Tokyo - Kyoto - Hiroshima). I wonder for how much longer this place will stay Japan’s well-kept secret.
Technical infos:
I used a DJI Osmo+ (no, the DJI Osmo Pocket wasn’t on the market at that time) to shoot this little film. I shot everything in D-Log and additionally I had a ND-filter on (it was a very sunny day). Already then I loved using the Osmo. Now, with the new DJI Osmo pocket., travel shooting will get even easier.
