Renting a Scooter in Da Nang 2018 - Travel Vietnam
Now that we have our licenses and protective gear, it was time to go rent a scooter here in Da Nang. We are only wanting a rental bike for one month, so we weren't fussed if it was a Honda, Yamaha or any other brand, so long as it runs, everything works as it should and that it has enough power to cart the two of us around to our next adventures in Da Nang and its surrounding areas.
Let us know what you think of our new ride in the comments :)
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between. So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..

Da Nang to Hoi An by Bus or Bike, Travel Vietnam 2018
We decided to head down to Hoi An for a few days but first we had a dilemma. We had heard the trip from Danang to Hoi An using the the public bus was quite an adventure, but then we also knew we would need Bob down there with us to get around, if we wanted to head out of the Old Town Hoi An...What to do?
It was easy really, I'd catch the bus and Tash would ride Bob down, but would we both make it? Who would get there first? What was our experiences of the trip like?
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

PRETTY LITTLE TOWN, HOI AN | Vietnam
May 6th-8th, 2018.
I spent 3 days in Hoi An, most of the time only spent at the Ancient Town, sadly we didn't make it to My Son Sanctuary and Cam Thanh Village for a basket boat experience.
Please, if you guys have a plan to go to Hoi An, make sure to spare your time for My Son Sanctuary and book a trip to Cam Thanh Village (Bamboo Basket-Boat) days before you go to the village.
And, don't forget to rent a bike (around 30,000 VND, most hotel/hostel provide a bicycle rental) and cycling around the Ancient Town, it's the best way to enjoy Hoi An!
I stayed at: The House 36
100% for the service and the room quality, you'll love this hotel when you get there, I promise.

Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide in Vietnam!!!
Thành Phố Hội An
Wondering what to do in Da Nang and Hoi An , Vietnam? How to get around and enjoy the best viewpoints, sites, hotspots, and secrets there? You have found the right video!!!
After our visit to Da Nang; a clean, modern, and laid-back city, bordered by a long white sand beach called My Khe. The beach front is lined with top-notch resorts, restaurants, and quirky shops; the city night filled with lights and beaming with life, and even just outside the city, amazing nature and serene views we have selected some of our favorite places for you to explore. So without further ado:
1. Marble mountains. Just south of Da Nang and accessed by two cylindrical glass elevators lies a natural masterpiece. Marble and limestone rock formations bulge out of the ground and reach for the skies. Atop this natural marvel is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, with temples, pagodas, and sacred caves. Having 3 distinct peaks, serve as amazing viewpoints of the mountains to the south and the city of Da Nang to the North as well as breathtaking views of My Khe Beach to the East.
2. Dragon Bridge One of the most unique bridges in Da Nang and the whole of Vietnam. It is constructed in the shape of a dragon and a shining display of lights during the night makes your visit worthwhile.
3. Son Tra Mountain. Largely covered with thick forest, Son Tra Peninsula is full of Beaches and spectacular views. Sightseeing, nature walks, wildlife sightings, eating and drinking in Vietnamese style are on the top of the list.
4. Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda. Being the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam at an astounding 194 feet, Lady Buddha is located near Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, a short 5 miles away from My Khe beach, or 9 miles from Da Nang city center.
5. Beaches. The best beaches in Da Nang are known for their clean waters and sands. The more popular ones, such as My Khe and Non Nuoc are relatively close to the city centre. Less than 10 minutes away by car, they’re often packed with locals during weekends and public holidays. You can also find plenty of local restaurants serving fresh seafood and Da Nang specialities at affordable prices. Lounges and beach chairs are available for rent for about VND 40,000 per day ($1.74 USD).
Hoi An has quickly become one of the most loved tourist sight in the country. This place doesn't have any airport or any railway network and the only way to reach it is by taxi, motorbike, or the public (Yellow) bus. However, this is one of the most beautiful as well as the most pleasant locations you will ever find. Here’s our top 6 things to do in Hoi An:
1. Walk around Hoi An Old town
2. Explore the central market in the heart of the city and go SHOPPING!!!
3. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge
4. Try the mysterious street food
5. Visit the many historical temples
6. Walk around at night and enjoy colorful lantern
Catch a ride on one of the many river gondolas
Discover the amazing artwork including photography, painting and handmade crafts in the artist district
What not to do:
Park your bike or car in Hoi An center after 3:00 PM

Day Trips OUTSIDE of Hội An (Should You Stay in Da Nang or Hội An Vietnam??)
Spending a few days in Hội An?? Old Quarter is cool and all but after a few days it gets a little repetitive. We'd suggest renting a motorbike and heading 5 kilometers outside of Hội An to Da Nang. Loop in Marble Mountain with your beach day and you'll be in good shape!

Hoi An to Da Nang Motorbike Ride
Riding our motorbikes from Hoi An to Da Nang, Vietnam. We visited Marble Mountain and the Goddess of Mercy statue on the first day it was open!
Highly recommended for anyone in Hoi An to do a day trip to Da Nang and visit these attractions.. it's worth it!
Getting knocked out by a Motorbike in Hoi An, Vietnam
We are trying to capture as much raw footage of Vietnam as possible. As Hoi An changes day to day in lightning speed, we have managed to find traditions that hold like cow herding. However, in this video Big gets shaken up by a scooter while filming Small in the Vegetable Fields.
The lesson to be learned here is ..... Watch out for scooters especially in Vietnam!

Complete Guide about Hoi An Vietnam. In depth information on the best things to do in Hoi An. Popular Vietnam tourism places to Visit, Hoi An Hotels, and Hoi An restaurant. Lets go!
I start my trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang city
Time to Visit Da Nang – Hoi An
Da Nang – Hoi An Weather is about the same around 30-35 degree.
The best time to visit Hoi An is from January to April when it is not extremely hot and not raining. During this time Hoi An weather should be sunny and around 30 degree which a lots better than 35.
Trip details of Hoi An Day 2
- 6 AM: I got up early in the moring, Rent a bicycle for $1.50 a day. You can find this anywhere around Hoi An. Riding around Hoi An is one of the best things to do in Hoi An that you absolutely want to add into your Hoi An must do list.
- 7 AM: Get a Viets Sub at Bánh Mì Phượng which is one of my recommended vietnamese food, Hoi An restaurants that you don’t wanna miss. $1
- 7:30 AM: I found a spot near Chùa Cầu bridge that I can sit down, eat my Banh Mì and order a cold coconut. $1
Then I took some pictures with the Chùa Cầu which is an iconic of Vietnam as it is printed on the 20k VND
-8:30 AM: Go to get some drink as it is way too hot on that day. It is in June and Hoi An weather was close to 40 degree. I chose Faifo Café for their amazing reviews on Social media. But what I found the drink was okay. Their view of the Hoi An lanterns city is what worth the money paid $5
- 9:00 AM: I biked down the Thu Bon river to go to the market which I could take the boat to the coconut forest “rừng dừa 7 mẫu Hội An” for $10.
The tour is 2 hours long. Looking at the fishing culture, Hoi An beach and try some of their activities. We spent some amazing time and get some good souvenirs home.
- 11:30 AM: I went to get Cao Lầu right at the Hoi An Ancient Town for $1.50. Cao Lầu is one of the signature dish of Hội An and you should put it in your Hoi An restaurant vietnamese food list
-12:00 AM: Check out the Hoi An Hotels that we stay. And here is the hotel info
- 12:30 PM: I book a taxi to Hội An pottery village for $5. We spent some good quality time, makinig clay pots, and look around. I also purchased a ticket to go to the gallery which is $2
-1:30 PM: The taxi driver picked me up from Hoi An to Da Nang for $10
See you guys tomorrow for Da Nang experience.
Totalling: ~$37
