Central Market in Hoi An Vietnam - Cho Hoi An
The Central Market in Hoi An Vietnam - Cho Hoi An
Shopping with the locals. It's great to get amongst it, shopping with the locals, wandering through the aisles. There are all sorts of goods for sale in this vicinity. The fruits and vegetables are of good quality but it's a bit hard to strike a great bargain unless you are Vietnamese or can speak the language. I'm sure the locals have prices for locals and prices for visitors but there's not a lot the average tourist can do, but it's a fun thing to experience the thrill of the chase for a good price! Tailors, shoe shops and much more can also be found around here.

Experiencing Local Life in Hoi An Vietnam
Second stop during our stay in Vietnam was to a charming lil city, Hoi An. Hoi An was a place we both really enjoyed and we stayed longer than most visitors to there to properly soak it all in.
During our time in Hoi An, we stayed at An Bang Stilt House. A traditional style building that's in a great location. It's a 5 min bicycle ride away from the beach and only a short drive away from Hoi An Old Town too. Plenty of Grab taxis to get us there. We had the most friendly and welcoming host ever (Kim) who made us feel right at home during our entire stay. We recommend ordering her home-cooked meals, they were so good!
An Bang Stilt House
Address: Group 4, Tan Thanh, Cam An ward, Hoi An, Quang Nam, Vietnam 563800
We also enjoyed a unique and special tour of Hoi An away from the tourist attractions and out into the more remote countryside of Hoi An.
Our tour of Hoi An, Vietnam was with XO Tours. This is a really cool tour company where all the tours are done on scooters and with friendly, knowledgeable, female riders (the company wanted to give females more job opportunities so created XO Tours) but the best thing is you get to immerse yourself in the local life of Hoi An and Vietnam.
We got to learn about the daily work lives of locals, try our hands at their craft and ended the tour with a invitation into a Vietnamese family home for an amazing home cooked meal. Definitely a great experience and one to try for yourselves if you're visiting Hoi An and looking for things to do.
We're here in Vietnam for a month, so expect plenty more food and travel videos to come. Stay tuned! ????

Danang to Hoi An | Vietnam
Today started with an early morning motorbike ride outside the city of Danang. Jeff took me to the local fishing village to watch them bring in their catch, and then we drove to an 800 year old tree!
Next, Jeff and Nancy were nice enough to drive us to Hoi An so we didn't have to take the public bus. We tried out a couple different coffee shops together before they headed back to Danang.
We spent the rest of the day walking, shopping, and eating in the ancient city of Hoi An.

Chợ Hội An: Hoi An Central Market and New Market in the Old Town of Hoi An, Vietnam
This travel video showcases the bustling Hoi An Central Market (Chợ Hội An) during its frantic pace early in the morning in the Old Town quarter section of Hoi An, Vietnam. When it comes to visiting local markets I've often found the best time to wander around is early in the morning. Sauntering out of our guesthouse at 6:30 AM we decided to visit Central Market - a short 15 minute walk away from where we were staying. Upon arriving we noticed a sea of local ladies adorning conical hats frantically moving about. The market reminded me a lot of the ones I visited while traveling in China two years ago - especially from Dali and Lijiang.

This local market is filled to the brim with small outdoor stalls selling everything from fresh produce to fish. There are also more touristy items available for purchase; however, unlike the central market in Siem Reap, it is still mostly catered towards locals.
It's a travel photographer's dream given that one could literally just stand there are fire away. For a while I had felt as though I was in a bit of a photography funk not having taken or posting photos in a while. Coming to this market and shooting away to my heart's content was exactly what I needed to revive my stagnant creative juices.
In the covered section of the market, one can find a collection of local eateries selling delectable local dishes, such as Cao Lau and White Rose. Eating local dishes from the market is a lot cheaper than going to a proper restaurant. For those on a budget or interested in rubbing elbows with locals, this is certainly the way to go.
As always, we recommend coming early before tourists converge. We were the only visibly noticeable foreigners for the first 30 minutes of our wanderings:

We went to a Magical Town, HOI AN, VIETNAM (2019)│ My Travel Journal
Visiting Vietnam was an incredible experience, we went to so many places and so many UNESCO heritages.
Then we came to Danang, and everybody mentioned HOI AN, I don't know how We missed it from our research but here We are on our way to Hoi An.
We arrived and we were impressed, is such a Magical Town, so beautiful, not just the town but the food, Oh my gosh.
We found that most of the vegetables fron this town come from a little village like 5 to 10 minutes away, a community of 50 families and off course we Went there.
From Hoi An take a taxi to the TRA QUE Vegetable Village, you will not regret, is free of charge but they have a lot of activities that you can do like: farming, tours inside the village, cooking classes, etc etc and they go from $23 to $28 dollars, not bad because that includes food and more things.
HOI AN is a town that you have to visit if you come to Vietnam and stay for more than a day if it is possible, in the night this town transform in a Lantern town, so nice.
The food is espectacular, you have to try CAO LAU, nooldes than can be made just here because they are made with water from a WELL that is very special and different. They say that the water that comes from underground is from a little Island close by that has ashes of the local trees OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Off course we went there.
We will eat, we will get lost in the town, we will go to temples and more.

Hoi An, Vietnam | Cham Island snorkelling tour, An Bang beach | Vietnam Travel
After visiting the city of Da Nang we hopped on our motor bikes and road to the ancient town of Hoi An, Vietnam.
We arrived in the evening and we were greeted by our Airbnb host in town who then guided us to our super cute rental home.
There is so much to see, and do and eat in Hoi An. We spent our days riding around on motor bikes checking out local areas such as the old quarter of Hoi An along the river. This area is packed full of restaurants and shops of every kind. It's a must-see near the Japanese bridge. Hundreds of lanterns fill every corner. There is so much incredible food choices. We spend a bit of time each day at the beautiful beach called An Bang beach. We explored the rice fields on bikes at Tra Que vegetable village between the town and An Bang beach where all the local vegetables come from. We went on a Basket Boat tour in the Coconut Forest. And spent the day at sea on a Cham Islands Snorkelling Day Tour.
We highly recommend visit this wonderful place.
Next up we visit Ho Chi Minh City , (commonly known as Saigon). Stay tuned!

Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide in Vietnam!!!
Thành Phố Hội An
Wondering what to do in Da Nang and Hoi An , Vietnam? How to get around and enjoy the best viewpoints, sites, hotspots, and secrets there? You have found the right video!!!
After our visit to Da Nang; a clean, modern, and laid-back city, bordered by a long white sand beach called My Khe. The beach front is lined with top-notch resorts, restaurants, and quirky shops; the city night filled with lights and beaming with life, and even just outside the city, amazing nature and serene views we have selected some of our favorite places for you to explore. So without further ado:
1. Marble mountains. Just south of Da Nang and accessed by two cylindrical glass elevators lies a natural masterpiece. Marble and limestone rock formations bulge out of the ground and reach for the skies. Atop this natural marvel is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, with temples, pagodas, and sacred caves. Having 3 distinct peaks, serve as amazing viewpoints of the mountains to the south and the city of Da Nang to the North as well as breathtaking views of My Khe Beach to the East.
2. Dragon Bridge One of the most unique bridges in Da Nang and the whole of Vietnam. It is constructed in the shape of a dragon and a shining display of lights during the night makes your visit worthwhile.
3. Son Tra Mountain. Largely covered with thick forest, Son Tra Peninsula is full of Beaches and spectacular views. Sightseeing, nature walks, wildlife sightings, eating and drinking in Vietnamese style are on the top of the list.
4. Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda. Being the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam at an astounding 194 feet, Lady Buddha is located near Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, a short 5 miles away from My Khe beach, or 9 miles from Da Nang city center.
5. Beaches. The best beaches in Da Nang are known for their clean waters and sands. The more popular ones, such as My Khe and Non Nuoc are relatively close to the city centre. Less than 10 minutes away by car, they’re often packed with locals during weekends and public holidays. You can also find plenty of local restaurants serving fresh seafood and Da Nang specialities at affordable prices. Lounges and beach chairs are available for rent for about VND 40,000 per day ($1.74 USD).
Hoi An has quickly become one of the most loved tourist sight in the country. This place doesn't have any airport or any railway network and the only way to reach it is by taxi, motorbike, or the public (Yellow) bus. However, this is one of the most beautiful as well as the most pleasant locations you will ever find. Here’s our top 6 things to do in Hoi An:
1. Walk around Hoi An Old town
2. Explore the central market in the heart of the city and go SHOPPING!!!
3. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge
4. Try the mysterious street food
5. Visit the many historical temples
6. Walk around at night and enjoy colorful lantern
Catch a ride on one of the many river gondolas
Discover the amazing artwork including photography, painting and handmade crafts in the artist district

Top 7 Things to do in Hoi An, Vietnam
We shot this Top things to do in Hoi An, Vietnam video from what has become one of our favourite locations we've visited so far. Hoi An is simply an amazing must-visit city in Vietnam. We hope this video helps you get a glimpse into as much magic as we were able to capture during our 5 night stay in Hoi An, Vietnam.
If you're planning a trip to Vietnam, it should include a visit to Hoi An Ancient Town and you definitely need to stay from day until evening because everything changes at night. From the glowing silk lanterns to the row boats slowly drifting down the river. This little Hoi An old town is simply charming. Just be prepared for the big crowds to pack in during the evening and night time.
Remember to pick up your tickets from the ticket stations located around the Hoi An Ancient Town. Once you pay for this you can visit any 5 special attractions of your choice.
Some of the ticketed attractions we visited in Hoi An Old Town were:
1. Assembly Hall Of Fujian Chinese
Address: 46 Trần Phú, Cẩm Châu, Hội An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–6pm
2. Japanese Covered Bridge
Address: Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 564010, Vietnam
3. Museum of Trade Ceramics Hoi An
80 Tran Phu St. | Minh An, Hoi An, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–6pm
You should also visit Hoi An Night Market in the Ancient Town. Cross the Hoi An bridge and you'll enter the night market. Much more enjoyable at night with all the boats running along and lanterns fully lit up. It is a very touristy area though so just be aware of the higher prices and crowds.
Chicken Rice Place (not sure if the Google marker/address is quite in the right place, but the shop name is Cơm Gà Hiền and the photos shown are correct in the map link!)
Cơm Gà Hiền
593 Hai Bà Trưng, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 550000, Vietnam
If you're looking for a nice beach to relax in Hoi An has you covered.
There are 3 main beaches in Hoi An:
- An Bang Beach
- Tan Tanh Beach
- Cua Dai Beach
An Bang Beach will be the most busy so try Tan Tanh or Cua Dai if you're wanting more space to relax.
We also went to an ancient temple and UNESCO world heritage site called My Son Sanctuary to find out some of the amazing history of the Champa people who once lived in Vietnam. My Son Sanctuary is a must-visit when you're in Hoi An, Vietnam especially if you love history and ancient ruins.
The World Cultural Heritage My Son Sanctuary
Address: Duy Phú, Duy Xuyên District, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 6:30am–5:30pm
