Wapiti Onion Hiking Trail - Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia
The Wapiti Onion Trail crosses through Wapiti Lake Provincial Park. This 30 km trail is located on the East slope of the Rocky Mountains and is open for hiking and horseback riding. The first 19 kms of the trail to Wapiti Lake follows the north side of the Wapiti River and the shores of a few smaller lakes. Scenic views are plentiful, especially while along lakeshores. There is a short side trail (200 metres) to Wapiti Falls at 7 km. A reasonable goal would be to reach Wapiti Lake in day one. Backpacking time to Wapiti Lake is variable and depending on your level of experience allow 6-9 hours for the one way trip to km 19.
The trail from Wapiti Lake to Onion Lake ascends steeply into the alpine. The 2 km climb above Wapiti Lake has an elevation change of 1000 metres. Between 24 and 25 km there is a terrific view of both Wapiti Lake to the south and Onion Lake to the north. At this point the trail descends 500 metres to Onion Lake. Allow 7-10 hours for the trip from Wapiti Lake to Onion Lake.

Othello Tunnels in Hope, British Columbia | Cinematic Walk Through
We decided to go and discover Othello Tunnels in Hope, British Columbia: This is finally the first time I was able to get out and take the New DJI Mavic Air out and man o man it is not a disappointment! This Cinematic Walk Through is gorgeous, but still, you need to go to the Othello Tunnels yourself!
The Othello Tunnels are a series of old train tunnels and bridges that cut through the solid granite walls and pass over the wild Coquihalla River. The Othello Tunnels are located just east of the town of Hope, BC, in the Coquihalla Provincial Park and the trail is a short, flat 3.5km return route.
The Othello Tunnels pass through the beautiful Coast Mountain Range and provide spectacular scenic views that are perfect for a day hike or for photography shoots.
This is a definite short day hike that is a must see!!!

Hiking Paradise Meadows to Cruickshank Canyon - Strathcona Park BC
Music: Weed by Chillwalker
Hiking gorgeous Paradise Meadows in the Forbidden Plateau region of Strathcona Provincial Park, British Columbia - Early morning -2 C. Afternoon 24 C. Sunny all day.
Strathcona Provincial Park, designated in 1911, is the oldest provincial park in British Columbia. Located almost in the centre of Vancouver Island, Strathcona park is a rugged mountain wilderness comprising more than 250,000 hectares.
Mountain peaks – some perpetually mantled with snow – dominate the park. Lakes and alpine tarns dot a landscape laced with rivers, creeks and streams. Summer in Strathcona is usually pleasantly warm, while winters are fairly mild except for the higher levels, where heavy snowfalls are the norm.
From November through March, snowfalls can be expected on the mountain slopes and alpine plateaus. Snow remains all year on the mountain peaks and may linger into July even at moderate elevations. Summer evenings, as elsewhere in the coastal regions of B.C., can be cool and rain can be expected at any time of the year.
