About West Hollywood:
West Hollywood, occasionally referred to locally as WeHo (/ˈwiːhoʊ/), is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. Incorporated in 1984, it is home to the Sunset Strip. As of the 2010 census, its population was 34,399.[7] It is considered one of the most prominent gay villages in the United States.[9]
Geography[edit]
West Hollywood is bounded by the city of Beverly Hills on the west,[10] and on other sides by neighborhoods of the city of Los Angeles: Hollywood Hills on the north,[11] Hollywood on the east,[12] the Fairfax District on the southeast, and Beverly Grove on the southwest.[13] The city's irregular boundary is featured in its logo; it was largely formed from the unincorporated Los Angeles County area that had not become part of the surrounding cities.[14]
West Hollywood benefits from a very dense, compact urban form with small lots, mixed land use, and a walkable street grid. According to Walkscore, a website that ranks cities based on walkability, West Hollywood is the most walkable city in California with a Walkscore of 89.[15] Commercial corridors include the nightlife and dining focused on the Sunset Strip, along Santa Monica Boulevard, and the Avenues of Art and Design along Robertson, Melrose, and Beverly Boulevard.[citation needed]
Residential neighborhoods in West Hollywood include the Norma Triangle, West Hollywood North, West Hollywood West, West Hollywood East, and West Hollywood Heights, all of which are only a few blocks long or wide. Major intersecting streets typically provide amenities within walking distance of adjacent neighborhoods.

Driving Downtown - Hollywood 4K - USA
Driving Downtown Neighborhoods - Hollywood - Los Angeles California USA - Episode 17.
Starting Point: Hollywood Boulevard .
Hollywood is an ethnically diverse, densely populated, relatively low-income neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles, California. It is notable as the home of the U.S. film industry, including several of its historic studios, and its name has come to be a shorthand reference for the industry and the people in it.
Hollywood was a small community in 1870 and was incorporated as a municipality in 1903. It was consolidated with the city of Los Angeles in 1910, and soon thereafter a prominent film industry emerged, eventually becoming the most recognizable film industry in the world.
Motion Picture Industry
Four major film companies – Paramount, Warner Bros., RKO, and Columbia – had studios in Hollywood, as did several minor companies and rental studios. In the 1920s, Hollywood was the fifth-largest industry in the nation.
Hollywood became known as Tinseltown because of the glittering image of the movie industry. Hollywood has since become a major center for film study in the United States.
Development
In 1923, the Hollywood sign was erected in the Hollywood Hills, reading HOLLYWOODLAND, its purpose being to advertise a housing development. In 1949, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce entered a contract with the City of Los Angeles to repair and rebuild the sign. The contract stipulated that LAND be removed to spell HOLLYWOOD and reflect the district, not the housing development.
During the early 1950s, the Hollywood Freeway was constructed through the northeast corner of Hollywood.
The Capitol Records Building on Vine Street, just north of Hollywood Boulevard, was built in 1956, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame was created in 1958 as a tribute to artists and other significant contributors to the entertainment industry. The official opening was on February 8, 1960.
The Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
The Dolby Theatre, which opened in 2001 as the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center mall, is the home of the Oscars. The mall is located where the historic Hollywood Hotel once stood.
Revitalization
After years of serious decline in the 1980s, many Hollywood landmarks were threatened with demolition. Columbia Square, at the northeast corner of Sunset Boulevard and Gower Street, is part of the ongoing rebirth of Hollywood. The Art Deco-style studio complex completed in 1938, which was once the Hollywood headquarters for CBS, became home to a new generation of broadcasters when cable television networks MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Spike TV consolidated their offices here in 2014 as part of a $420-million office, residential and retail complex. Since 2000, Hollywood has been increasingly gentrified due to revitalization by private enterprise and public planners.

West Hollywood (nickname: WeHo)
is a city of Los Angeles County, California. It was made a city on November 29, 1984. The population was 34,399 at the 2010 census.
West Hollywood and the neighboring city of Beverly Hills are surrounded by the city of Los Angeles.
Beverly Hills
is a city in the west of Los Angeles County, California, United States. Beverly Hills is near to Los Angeles. It is famous for having many expensive houses for the rich people ... because many celebrities live there.
Beverly Hills is bordered on the north by Bel-Air and the Santa Monica Mountains, on the east by West Hollywood, the Carthay neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, and on the south by the Beverlywood.
The largest homes in Los Angeles and in the United States are in Beverly Hills. These homes can be really large and fancy, to more common and modern homes, and then to smaller homes with less than 3,000 square feet, which is still quite a large area.
In 2007, Coldwell Banker lists Beverly Hills as having the most expensive houses. The houses in Beverly Hills cost a lot. They can cost over 2 million dollars.
However the houses are large, spacious, and fancy and that is why a lot of celebrities live there, and also because it is close to Hollywood.

Night Walking Tour of Hollywood Boulevard | 4K Dji Osmo | No Music
Hey guys, As promised... Here is the No Music Version. Keep Being Awesome!
Hey Guys, please enjoy this night walk through one of the most famous streets in the United States, Hollywood Boulevard.
The People, the places, the sounds.... All have a unique feel at night. Especially at Night.
Heres is some info on Hollywood Blvd.
Hollywood Boulevard is a major east–west street in Los Angeles, California. It begins in the west as a winding residential street at Sunset Plaza Drive in the Hollywood Hills West district. After crossing Laurel Canyon Boulevard, it proceeds due east as a major thoroughfare through Hollywood, Little Armenia and Thai Town to Vermont Avenue. It then runs southeast to its eastern terminus at Sunset Boulevard in the Los Feliz district. Parts of the boulevard are popular tourist destinations, primarily the fifteen blocks between La Brea Avenue east to Gower Street where the Hollywood Walk of Fame is primarily located.
Hollywood boulevard was originally named Prospect Avenue until 1910, when the town of Hollywood, created by H.J. Whitley, was annexed by the neighboring City of Los Angeles. After annexation, the street numbers changed from 100 Prospect Avenue, at Vermont Avenue, to 6400 Hollywood Boulevard.
In the early 1920s, real estate developer Charles E. Toberman (the Father of Hollywood) envisioned a thriving Hollywood theatre district. Toberman was involved in 36 projects while building the Max Factor Building, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and the Hollywood Masonic Temple. With Sid Grauman, he opened the three themed theatres: Egyptian, El Capitan (The Captain) (1926), and Chinese.

Los Angeles: Hollywood Universal Studiofahrt Studio Tour Kulissen
Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and theme park in the Universal City community of the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood film studios still in use. Its official marketing headline is The Entertainment Capital of LA. It was initially created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios sets and is the first of many full-fledged Universal Studios Theme Parks located across the world. Woody Woodpecker is the mascot for Universal Studios Hollywood.
Outside the theme park, a new, all-digital facility near the Universal Studios backlot was built in an effort to merge all of NBCUniversal's West Coast operations into one area. As a result, the current home for KNBC, KVEA and NBC News with Telemundo Los Angeles Bureaus with new digital facility is on the Universal lot formerly occupied by Technicolor SA. Universal City includes hotels Universal Hilton & Towers, the Sheraton Universal Hotel, the multi-screen Globe Theatre, often used for banquets and receptions and Universal CityWalk, which offers a collection of shops and restaurants. In 2013, the park hosted 6,148,000 guests, placing it 17th in the world and 9th among North American parks.

As a real estate agent here in Los Angeles, I have had the pleasure to give mansion, condo and apartment tours all around Los Angeles with neighborhoods including Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, Malibu, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Holmby Hills, Downtown, Laurel Canyon, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Encino, Palos Verdes and Mid City. I am a real estate agent working for Compass Rodeo office in Beverly Hills. Compass, since its launched, now is the country's largest independent real estate brokerage. If this is your first time to my channel, then welcome! You will discover in this channel that we like to have a good time while touring some of the most expensive homes on the planet. We are very lucky to live in a city like Los Angeles and work in real estate here. There are currently 112 single-family homes in Los Angeles listed for more than $20 Million! I don't know if there is a market quite like it anywhere in the world! A day in the life of a realtor is very entertaining, but especially so in Los Angeles thanks to the diversity of this city.

Famous Hollywood Sign + Driving around Hollywood, California
Famous Hollywood Sign and surrounding scenery by driving around Hollywood, CA
The Hollywood Sign (formerly the Hollywoodland Sign) is an American landmark and cultural icon overlooking #Hollywood, Los Angeles, #California. It is situated on Mount Lee, in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains.
The sign was erected in 1923 and originally read HOLLYWOODLAND. Its purpose was to advertise the name of new segregated housing development in the hills above the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. H.J. Whitley had already used a sign to advertise his development Whitley Heights, which was between Highland Avenue and Vine Street. He suggested to his friend Harry Chandler, the owner of the Los Angeles Times newspaper, that the land syndicate in which he was involved make a similar sign to advertise their land. Real estate developers Woodruff and Shoults called their development Hollywoodland and advertised it as a superb environment without excessive cost on the Hollywood side of the hills.
They contracted the Crescent Sign Company to erect thirteen south-facing letters on the hillside. The sign company owner, Thomas Fisk Goff (1890–1984), designed the sign. Each letter was 30 feet wide and 50 feet high, and the whole sign was studded with around 4,000 light bulbs. The sign flashed in segments: HOLLY, WOOD, and LAND lit up individually, and then the whole. Below the Hollywoodland sign was a searchlight to attract more attention. The poles that supported the sign were hauled to the site by mules. Cost of the project was $21,000, equivalent to $310,000 in 2018.
The sign was officially dedicated in 1923. It was intended only to last a year and a half, but after the rise of American cinema in Los Angeles during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the sign became an internationally recognized symbol and was left there.
