Hollywood Road is a street in Central and Sheung Wan, on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. This old street, one of the first to be built in Hong Kong, is filled with trinket and antique shops of all sorts: from Chinese furniture to porcelain ware, from Buddha sculptures to Tibetan rugs, from Japanese netsukes to Coromandel screens, from Ming dynasty ceramic horsemen and kitsch Maoist memorabilia.
The street runs between Central and Sheung Wan, with Wyndham Street, Arbuthnot Road, Ladder Street, Upper Lascar Row, and Old Bailey Street in the vicinity.

HK23 Hollywood Road, Hong Kong
A stroll down the famous Hollywood Road, known as Antique Road in Central, where many antique stores and art galleries set up shop.

The second oldest street in Hong Kong. It was never meant to resemble anything related to Hollywood, the street was named after the holly trees that used to grow here. In fact, the name was established way before the Californian Hollywood was named.
This was the place where Chinese traders came to buy and sell items to Europeans. You can find mainly antiquity shops selling various things, from figures of Buddhas to rugs and various kinds of memorabilia.
Apart from shopping, the street is starting to be a home for contemporary art pieces; many galleries are spreading around the area. You can also visit many restaurants with all kinds of cuisines imaginable. If you're into window shopping, you can easily spend half a day here.
Watch out for the antiquities because the sources are not very reliable and you never know whether the item is really genuine or just a fake.
There are plenty of bus stops around the area, but the closest ones are Lok Ku Road; Hollywood Road (line 26), Hollywood Terrace; Queen's Road Central (3A, 7, 10, 37A, 90B, 94, 101, 104) and Ladder Street; Caine Road (40M, 93C, 103 and 103P).

Hollywood Road Park is an urban public park in Sheung Wan. Is it worth a visit? Roam around the Chinese garden in our 360° VR Virtual Hong Kong Walking Tour!
The park is built in architectural style. you can find a lotus pavilion when you enter the park. There is a Zig-zag bridge linking the pavilion and pond with lots of fish and turtles. You can also find old Chinese banyan, undercover areas and kid playground. Hollywood Park is really a pleasant and relaxing area to unwind. It is really close to the Cat Street and Man Mo temple, you can come across and take a rest after walking through the whole Hollywood Road.
In maps of the 1980s and before, Hollywood Road Park is marked as Possession Point. Possession Point is the location where the Royal Navy landed on Hong Kong Island, before the signing of the Treaty of Nanking. The commander of Far East Fleet, James John Gordon Bremer, came to Hong Kong via the HMS Calliope on 26 January 1841. A flag raising and gun ceremony marked the official possession of Hong Kong, and the landing venue was renamed as Possession Point.
Hollywood Road Park is also the site of the former Tai Tat Tei (or Dai tat dei, lit. large piece of land), which was nicknamed the poor man's nightclub in the 1960s and 1970s. The Tai Tat Tei was popular bazaar market. It showcased a rendez-vous of old Hong Kong style street entertainment activities. People gathered to browse at night market, eat cheap food and watch free entertainment.
