The Holy Trinity Church also called Trinity Church is the name given to a Russian Orthodox church in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Asian country of Mongolia; situated in Bayanzurkh . In 1860, as a result of the signing of the Convention of Peking to the Russian side it was granted the right to open a consulate in the capital of Outer Mongolia - Urga. In 1863 the Consulate staff with a convoy of 20 Cossacks came to Urga; and they opened its own building for the consulate that binds directly to the Orthodox Church in honor of the Holy Trinity. On March 22, 1864 year he was sent the first priest who offered a religious service. This day is considered the beginning of the parish of Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Mongolia. Since 1927, the church had no priest, and was closed for religious use; since it was used for other purposes. It was demolished in the Decade of the 1930. After the fall of communism in the 90s the local Orthodox church resurguir again. In the summer of 2001, it took place the laying of the foundation stone of a new temple in honor of the Holy Trinity. Its construction would only begin in 2005 and end in 2009.
