Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), with China Construction Bank (Asia) as the title sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival opened today (25 October). This year, the HKTB arranged the first-ever drone performance over Victoria Harbour to celebrate the momentous 10th edition of the event. Various new elements themed around the 10th birthday have been incorporated into the event this year to give locals and visitors a refreshing four-day wine and dine experience from 25 to 28 October.
Officiating at the opening ceremony of the 10th CCB (Asia) Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival were distinguished guests Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government, Dr Bernard Chan, Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the HKSAR Government, Miss Eliza Lee, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism) of the HKSAR Government, Dr Peter Lam, Chairman of the HKTB, Mr Jiang Xianzhou, Chairman and Executive Director of CCB (Asia), Mr Stephan Delaux, Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux, and Mr Allan Sichel, President of the Bordeaux Wine Council.
After the ceremony, the officiating guests witnessed Hong Kong’s first choreographic drone performance by 100 drones over Victoria Harbour. The seven-minute performance displayed various patterns and animations, including the number “10” and birthday cakes against the breathtaking backdrop of Victoria Harbour. The spectacular drone performance will take place over the Victoria Harbour daily at 7pm for the next three days of the Wine and Dine Festival. Besides, rising stars from ViuTV’s “King-Maker”, and popular local artists and bands such as JW, RubberBand and Dear Jane will take turns to grace the main stage each night.
This edition of the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival is set to be the largest to date, with the event venue extended from the Central Harbourfront Event Space to Tamar Park to accommodate about 450 booths serving fine wines and exquisite food. A host of new party elements, such as a gigantic birthday cake for selfies and a “Super Time” prize offer, will be featured during this year’s event. Visitors and locals can also enjoy various limited edition wines, as well as some of Hong Kong’s most popular coffees and street eats in the new “Coffee Fiesta” and “International Street Eats” zones.

Wine& Dine Festival kicks off in Hong Kong

This year’s Wine & Dine in Hong Kong from October 26 to 29 attracted almost 150,000 people to hundreds of stands of food and wine. The premium section of the four-day fair was the Grand Pavillon, where JamesSuckling.com had its stand. We tasted more than 4,000 people on a large selection of wines featured in our Great Wines of the World event on November 3 at the Four Seasons Hotel. Great Wines of the World is large, walk-around tasting, and it’s already sold-out. We expect 1,000 participants. Hope you are coming!
2009 Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival

啟德郵輪碼頭 香港美酒佳餚巡禮 Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival in Kai Tak Cruise Terminal
建行（亞洲）美酒佳餚巡禮 ( 由 30-10-2014至 2-11-2014) 一連四天 在 啟德郵輪碼頭 旁邊舉行(有免費穿梭巴士 往來 指定地鐵站 及 郵輪碼頭底層) 。
，現場 有很多 美酒 及 美食 攤位，供 市民 試飲 及 試食 (要先買 品酒證及品酒券) ，還有 樂隊 及 歌星 在舞台上 表演。
由於免費入場 及 可以順道去看看 啟德郵輪碼頭，很多市民/遊客 都 先去買酒 後去遊覽 啟德郵輪碼頭，人流達180,000人次，比預期 多30%，穿梭巴士站 出現 長長人龍。
美酒佳餚巡禮在 2-11-2014 結束，營業額 和去年的不同， 大部分 參展商 的 營業額 都是令人滿意的(有些獲得了豐厚的利潤)，但由於 場地位置的改變 及 目標客戶的改變，有一些參展商 遭受損失。
CCB (Asia) Wine & Dine Festival was held at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal from 30-10-2014 to 2-11-2014. Free shuttle bus services was provided between Kai Tak Cruise Terminal & specific MTR stations. There were many wine stalls & food stalls for citizens/tourists to try & buy(Note: need to buy “wine pass” & “wine token” in advance at counters). Entertainment shows were performed by singers & bands.
Due to free admission & citizens could also visit Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, the number of person visited increased by around 30% to 180,000 persons. Long queue can be seen from MTR stations.
The event completed on 2-11-2014. The turnover was differed from last year since the venue location was changed & target customers were different. Most participants earned a big profit but some suffered a loss.
