Hongik University which is widely regarded as the best architecture and art school in Korea, is founded by the Independence activist in Korea in 1946. It is located in Mapo-gu district of central Seoul, South Korea with a second campus in Sejong.[1] Hongik University has one of the most popular bachelor’s degree in art & design in South Korea. However the university also offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with its fine arts college of 11 departments and architecture department most renowned and prestigious in Korea. Definitely a good time visiting Konkuk University, one of South Korea's leading private universities located in Seoul. After having a nice good cup of coffee at the lovely Cafe Armoire, we headed off to Hongik University to check out the night market. There were so many people performing in the street and the place was packed - a night to remember. Good time we had!

• Hongdae Walking Street: Main spot of Hongdae area which has an outdoor stage for indie band performance and dynamic culture of young people.

• Hongdae Mural Street: Mural street stretching from Kanemaya restaurant by the back gate of Hongik University to Four Seasons House and featuring various arrangements of painting from graffiti to artistic design. It is also referred to as ‘Picasso’s Street’ and is famous as a dating spot.

• Hongdae Free Market: The market is held every Saturday from March to November at Hongik Children’s Park in front of the main gate of Hongik University. All people can sign up to sell their hand-made products and other exhibitions created by artists will be shown.

Korea Modern Design Museum in Hongdae Area (Hongik University), Seoul, South Korea

On the outskirts of Hongdae is the Korea Modern Design Museum, a little known museum that features a collection of over 20,000 Korean design history items. The museum, which opened in March 2008, features unique Asian and some European design items from the private collection of Seonmun University professor and museum director Park Arm-Jong, who has gathered items for over 20 years.
