Recovery operation continues after deadly storms hit Lone Star state

We heard this morning this was an F4 tornado, so it's as bad as it gets. Search mode is pretty much winding down, and we're going into a recovery mode now, but we're not going to stop searching until every piece of debris is overturned and we can make sure nobody is there, no pets, before we start the clean up on this.

In other areas what's kind of weird is that you'll see a house with just a few shingles missing. It is a lot of devastation. The sad tragedy here is that six families will never recover from this they've lost loved ones. And hopefully now that we're down to seven missing, that those seven have evacuated and not checked in, that's my hope.
18. Wide of Berry with media
19. SOUNDBITE: (English) Steve Berry, Hood County Commissioner
Sad and grief, and the fact is that people work hard no matter where you live or what you live in, it's an opportunity to, that's their home. Wherever they live, whether they're renting or whether they own it, people have lost everything. You'll see that, there's clothes strung in the trees, there's clothes hanging on the hi-lines, there's hi-lines down. The big thing that we first ran into at about 8.45 last night, was we had to get road ops out to bring some heavy equipment to clean poles and trees and stuff off the roadway to get the fire and ambulance and police in. So that was a big issue that we dealt with at EOC was to get an egress in and out of there for ambulance and the fire.

STORYLINE:
Emergency workers were still searching for missing people on Thursday after 10 tornadoes hit several small communities in North Texas leaving at least six people dead, dozens injured and hundreds homeless.
The National Weather Service gave a preliminary estimate of Wednesday night's violent system, saying a tornado in Granbury had wind speeds between 166 to 200 miles per hour (277 - 333 kilometres per hour).
Other tornadoes damaged nearby Cleburne and Millsap.
Granbury, about 40 miles ( 64 kilometres) southwest of Fort Worth, saw the worst of the damage, as the exceptionally powerful tornado tore through two neighbourhoods around 8 pm local time on Wednesday (0100 GMT Thursday).
The National Weather Service's (NWS) preliminary storm estimate was an EF-4, based on the Fujita tornado damage scale.
An EF-5 is the most severe, but Roger Deeds, Hood County Sheriff , speaking on Thursday described the tornado as as bad as it gets.
He said rescue workers would not stop searching until every piece of debris is overturned and we can make sure nobody is there, no pets, before we start the clean up on this.
The powerful storm crushed buildings into piles of planks and rubble.
Trees and debris were scattered across yards, and fences were flattened.
About 20-thousand homes and businesses in the region were still without power early on Thursday.

SUMMARY
=======
Jubal Anderson Early (November 3, 1816 – March 2, 1894) was a Virginia lawyer and politician who became a Confederate general during the American Civil War. Trained at the United States Military Academy, Early resigned his U.S. Army commission after the Second Seminole War and his Virginia military commission after the Mexican-American War, in both cases to practice law and participate in politics. Accepting a Virginia and later Confederate military commission as the American Civil War began, Early fought in the Eastern Theater throughout the conflict. He commanded a division under Generals Stonewall Jackson and Richard Ewell, and later commanded a corps. A key Confederate defender of the Shenandoah Valley, during the Valley Campaigns of 1864, Early made daring raids to the outskirts of Washington, D.C. as well as far as York, Pennsylvania, securing money and supplies which delayed the Confederate surrender for several months. After the war, Early fled to Mexico, then Cuba and Canada, and upon returning to the United States took pride as unrepentant rebel. Particularly after the death of Gen. Robert E. Lee in 1870, Early delivered speeches establishing the Lost Cause, as well as helped found the Southern Historical Society and memorial associations.
Jesse James
Jesse Woodson James was an American outlaw, gang leader, bank robber, train robber, and murderer from the state of Missouri and the most famous member of the James-Younger Gang. Already a celebrity when he was alive, he became a legendary figure of the Wild West after his death. Some recent scholars place him in the context of regional insurgencies of ex-Confederates following the American Civil War rather than a manifestation of frontier lawlessness or alleged economic justice.
