Believe me when I say, our Castle & Estate ride in County Monaghan, Ireland is a fairytale wonderland for ANY equestrian enthusiast looking for a horse riding holiday in Ireland.
Where do I start?
How about here – the estate is home to 300 cross-country jumps (including PLENTY of water obstacles) to leap, ping or pop over on your Irish sport horse. Kilometres upon kilometres of bridle trails (yep, that’s what they call trails in Ireland!) that are sprawled across the 1000-acre estate flanked by ancient forests and open grazing pastures. The castle and surrounding estate is awash in history, and is one of the LAST great Irish estates still in the hands of its founding family.
Back to the equestrian wonderland, there is an indoor arena (let’s face it this is a MUST in Ireland) with show-jumping courses that will make your eyes water with excitement. For any globetrotter who has a fascination and desire to visit Ireland and ride their revered horses, than THIS ride is the perfect fit.

Driving from Dingle down to Killarney, where we walk the main streets and take a horse carriage ride passing one of the lakes of Killarney. Then on driving towards Kinsale in the south of Ireland. It's one of the prettiest parts of the country.

Killarney is most famous for its three lakes, and the town itself is quite attractive. Killarney is the nation's most popular destination after Dublin. People are drawn here primarily for the natural beauties around in the National Park, but the town itself has developed into a major tourist magnet.
There are quite a few shops packed into a small area. Those main streets outlined in blue add up to only about 1/2 a mile so it's quite easy to walk through the center up and down both sides of the street.
One of the most popular activities here is riding in the horse carriage with some commentary by your local driver.
Killarney does have nice wide sidewalks in the downtown area with trees and some benches, and the shops each seem to be unique. It's not like going to a big shopping mall. This place has a lot of character. The center of town, marked in the red circle is the crossroads of busy streets: High Street Main and New. Cars drive down the streets, so there's no pedestrian zone as such, but the sidewalks are nice and wide, it's easy to take a comfortable stroll.

Any equestrian worth their salt understands the significance of County Tipperary in Ireland {think Coolmore Stud}. Horses and Tipperary are inextricably linked – the county has produced some of the world’s most famous racehorses. So what better backdrop to hone, learn and up-skill than on a bowling green-esque cross country course in the equestrian heart of Ireland? On top of this, you’ll have top-level coaching on tap and be mounted on schoolmaster Irish Sport Horses.
It’s drool-worthy – and we’re speaking from experience. In 2018 we were fortunate enough to test out the coaching, horses and cross country course during the day while retiring to our luxurious estate house of an evening. And we’re STILL buzzing from the experience. Both coaches, Mark Molloy and Noel Quinn, have over two decades of coaching experience and take the time to know each rider individually. You’ll slip into a daily rhythm of hitting the cross country course in the morning, wandering back to the house for a delicious lunch, then enjoying another jumping session in the afternoon.
Now when you’re not in the saddle, you’ll be hosted by the Egan family – think Irish country hospitality on steroids. Inch House will be your home-away-from-home: an impeccably furnished, two-story luxury manor house. We’ve thrown in a non-riding day in the middle to give you time to rest your body and enjoy some local sight-seeing, ending with a home-grown fiddle performance that only the locals (and now you!) know about!
We’ve worked super hard to develop an itinerary that takes in the VERY BEST of Tipperary, both in and out of the saddle. Say YES!
