Kuala Lumpur Bird Park Aviary (Taman Burung) KL Bird Park - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In our latest travel video we venture off to visit the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park Aviary (Taman Burung in Malay) not far from our guesthouse in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With over 3000 birds (200 species) KL Bird park is the largest walk-in free-flight aviary in the world. It took us 45 minutes on foot to arrive and given the heat and humidity we were exhausted. After re-hydrating and resting we finally entered into KL Bird Park where we were immediately greeted by lovely peacocks displaying their brightly colored feathers. We noticed plenty of different birds species including eagles, owls, peacocks, flamingos, parrots and many more. Many of the birds were feeding on papaya slices arranged for them on branches.

Audrey paid a bit of money to have her picture taken with some birds and then a few minutes later Samuel made many new friends by feeding birds on his arm, hands, shoulder and head. We spent more time walking around the premises before we finally called it a day.
Overall, we had a great time and would come back again even though it's not the cheapest activity.
I'm going to start off by saying that I was tricked into coming here. I was told it was going to be a short - oh, it is a ten minute walk from Chinatown as we're right around the corner - and we've been walking for forty-five minutes in circles and uphill. I am covered in sweat and a bird just flew by me.
We're at KL Bird Park - the largest walk in aviary - in the world. That means the birds can fly from freely around the park.
This aviary is home to over three thousand birds in more than two hundred species. So far we have seen love birds, flamingos, peacocks and birds that we don't even know what they are.
This over here is the feeding area. As you can see the birds get a really nice diet of papayas and bananas.
This feels like Jurassic Park with the birds instead of dinosaurs. I'm going to choose two birds and then pose with them. This is the selection you've got.

We can feed Lorries for like two Ringgit, which is about seventy cents, so why not.

Overall, this was a really fun experience although it is not the cheapest thing to do in KL. It is something we both highly recommend. Wear bug spray! Yes.

Vlog #24 | Bat Cave & Crazy Monkeys (Kuala Lumpur)
On our first morning in Kuala Lumpur, Bernard and I decided to venture out to Batu Caves, meaning Bat Cave. It is an iconic spot for photos and is well known for the colorful steps that lead up to the caves. These caves house beautiful shrines and temples. It is quite a steep hike, but once at the top, it is so worth it.
After our temple excursion, we wander near our hotel in search of food and stumble upon an amazing hawker. As usual, we ordered way too much food, but really enjoyed the experience of eating with the locals.

WELCOME to KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIA - PETRONAS TOWERS, BATU CAVES, MERDEKA DAY ????????????
In this vlog, we spend a 36 hour layover Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on Merdeka Day. During our weekend trip, we take the metro to the Batu Caves and Petronas Towers.
Malaysia is home to over 30 million people and is a country filled with diversity in cultures, food, and cityscapes. We visit on Merdeka Day, August 31st, which is the country's independence day from Great Britain. We watch the military planes fly above the city.
First, we ride the metro which takes us directly to the Batu Caves, a sacred Hindu site that features limestone caves and mischievous monkeys. There are so many monkeys that we have to dodge them as we climb up to the caves. Once inside, we notice the mysterious and magical caves are filled with Hindu deities.
Next, we venture back to the city center to visit the Petronas Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world. At one point, they were the tallest buildings in the world, but that title was taken by the Taipei 101, and other buildings. The Petronas Towers has a limited availability each day, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance.

The Club Saujana Resort Kuala Lumpur | Malaysia Luxury Travel Vlog
When it's time to escape the urban jungle of Kuala Lumpur, you really won't have to venture out as far as you think. Famous amongst locals for it's spa, The Club Saujana Resort is a breath of fresh air, located just a few minutes outside of town on a very pretty golf course. Come with me for a day and night full of yummy food, presided over by Chef Marco from Italia. I tried the dim sum lunch at the lake-side Asian restaurant and a truffle-filled feast at the VERY ROMANTIC and lovely Italian restaurant and really loved both.
It was a shorter stay than usual for me so forgive me for not including more in the video, most especially the spa which I wasn't able to visit but was 100% the inspiration for my visit in the first place because my dear friend Ramesh here in KL is a huge fan of it (and I trust him on things pampering-related!). Hopefully I'll be able to experience it in the near future and I'll update this review.
The rooms are large and have very tranquil views of green all around (at least mine did), making it a real escape from KL. I would definitely stay only at The Club and not at the hotel given the more personalised service and peaceful feel at The Club.
