british guy's FIRST TIME at HOUSTON RODEO!! We went to the Houston Rodeo and saw Keith Urban. It was so incredible to see how patriotic everyone is and see some real American past times! Afterwards we ended up in the Wine Garden (which I 100% recommend!) and things got a little drunken.

Exploring Houston is no small task. This video does partial justice because the city is massive. I visit some places near University of Houston, stop by Liberty Taco for some food, and finish the light learning salsa at Omni Salsa.

Fifth Ward Adventures pt 1: Scoping the Area
Filmed back in December 2011. We were just high school seniors at the time, and my first car was our ticket to tour the city. This time we ventured into fifth ward, one of the original wards that made up Houston when it was established in 1837. During reconstruction, fifth ward was a community dedicated to newly freed slaves looking for a fresh start. In fact, in the early 1900s, Houston's fifth ward was labeled as one of the strongest and most developed African American derived communities in the Southern United States. Unfortunately, the area fell victim to suburban sprawl in the late 1960s as the civil rights era gave African Americans the opportunity to move throughout the city without fear of persecution or legal segregation. Home values diminished and many homes/businesses were eventually abandoned. Urban revival led to improvements in parts of the historical ward and the community as a whole is still a significant influence in the Cities history and culture.
