Family back together in JAPAN 4K: Ginza Street, Sensō-ji Temple, Tsukiji Market, Omide Yokocho
Hey guys!
This was my fourth and fifth day in Japan - Tokyo. First, we went to Yasukini Shrine, which is in the middle of the city of Tokyo and it’s a tribute to the Japanese people that have died at war. It’s a beautiful place but at the same time makes you think how sad is the amount of people that have died in war :(
After this we went to Emperor Palace which is in a HUGE park in the city, to be honest, the park is beautiful but I wouldn’t bother going to the Emperor Palace, you can just watch it from outside and just the roof hahaha what a waste of time.
Then I tried the traditional deep-fried food (tempura food) of Japan and I liked it but I’m not a big fan of deep fried stuff anymore so… yeah… Then we went to what I thought was the biggest train station ever (Shinjuku Station) and holy cows it’s huge…. The third one in the world apparently but hey! Still counts right? We finished this day with some traditional street food in Omoide Yokocho and I loved it there.
The next day was the most exciting thing ever!! I saw my family for the first time since I moved to Australia and they met my beautiful girlfriend. We started going to Tsukiji Fish Market, which is the biggest in the world, but to be honest I didn’t like it at all because it’s not tourist friendly at all and there are some cars that won’t care if you are in front of them they will just run over you…. Annoying…
Later on, we visited Ginza Street which is the famous glamour street full of crazy expensive clothing shops, I’m not into that but it was beautiful anyway…. Then we went to Sensō-ji Temple which was BEAUTIFUL but full of people, so I don’t know… comparing it with the peaceful temples in the countryside… nice to visit but I loved the countryside of Japan.

Hozenji Yokocho, Osaka - Japan
Hozenji Yokocho is a small slice of Edo located down a narrow side street in Dotombori area.
This narrow, stone-paved lane feels like the Osaka of olden days. The name Hozenji Yokocho literally means the alley next to the Hozenji temple. Illuminated by lanterns at night the area has a personality much different from its surroundings.
Cozy and quaint, lined on both sides with small food shops and cafes. Hozenji Yokocho is famous for its moss-covered Fudo-myo statue, known as Mizukake Fudo.
Once you step through the yokocho's gate, you'll discover about 60 taverns and restaurants along the 80 meters long alley. You can find many excellent restaurants serving Osaka's specialties.

Yokocho in Ebisu is Foodie Paradise
Having gone to a great bar just last week in Ebisu, we felt compelled to make our way back.
This time instead of just focusing on drinks, we waiting to hit it all in one fell swoop at Yokocho, a small food district there.
I had heard wonderful things in the past so it was time to put those rumors to rest.

大阪・夜の法善寺横丁を歩く Hozenji Yokocho in Osaka
Hozenji Yokocho is located in the south of Dotonbori in Osaka. Hozenji-Yokocho street refers to the two narrow lanes which run from east to west and were made famous in Sakunosuke Oda's novel, Meoto Zenzai (The Stories of Osaka Life). There is Hozenji Temple, a temple of Jodo shu, with the Mizukake Fudo statue covered with moss. Stone pavements that are wet with sprinkled water create a distinctive atmosphere.

Japan Trip 2016 Tokyo Draw your fortune 100Yen & Prayer Hanazono Shrine Shinjuku-ku Shigotohajime
O-mikuji (御御籤, 御神籤, or おみくじ o-mikuji) are random fortunes written on strips of paper at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan. Literally sacred lot, these are usually received by making a small offering (generally a five-yen coin as it is considered good luck) and randomly choosing one from a box, hoping for the resulting fortune to be good. As of 2011 coin-slot machines sometimes dispense o-mikuji.
Hanazono Shrine
The Hanazono Shrine (花園神社 Hanazono Jinja) is a Shinto shrine located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. This shrine was founded in the mid-17th century. Hanazono Jinja nestled in the heart of Tokyo's Shinjuku ward, Hanazono Jinja is a small and unobtrusive structure that, according to Fodor's, just happens to be one of the most historical shrines in Japan. Constructed in the Edo period by the Hanazono family, this Inari shrine—a shrine dedicated to Inari, the androgynous god of fertility and worldly success—is a favorite place for businessmen to pray for successful ventures.

Jinbaori is a type of haori, one of the Japanese short coats without sleeves, which a high-ranking samurai can wear over his armor.
