L/S of snow on the ground outside a big house, the door opens and ex-Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany walks out with his lady, a man and woman with a child are also with him, they walk down the drive with their dogs. He is wrapped up in a fur coat and walks out into the snow and further down the path, various shots as they make their way through trees and into an archway.
Intertitle - 'a stroll through Doorn.' L/S as they emerge from the arch through the middle of a building and carry on walking, the dogs run about. They turn the corner and we watch them carry on down the lane. M/S as they walk through snow covered trees and past the camera. M/S of them in the town as they walk past shops and buildings, a man takes his hat off to the ex-Kaiser. Wilhelm does the same to another man who is walking along. M/S as they walk through a gate into a snow covered field, various shots as they walk through a path, it is snowing quite heavily as they turn a corner and walk up the drive, he bows to the lady and throws bread to the ducks. M/S as the strokes his Alsatian, it jumps up at him. M/S of the ducks on the snow covered pond, he also feeds some bread to his Dachshund and Alsatian.
Intertitle - 'as he was - all highest war lord.....' Archive material of the Kaiser during the war, he salutes as troops march past him.

18 februari 1998 - Aflevering 1: Wilhelm II
In deze aflevering bezoekt hij Huis Doorn te Doorn, waar de Duitse ex-keizer Wilhelm II van 1918 tot 1941 in ballingschap leefde. Tijdens zijn bezoek aan Huis Doorn vertelt Büch over de boeken die Wilhelm II schreef en die er over hem geschreven zijn. Hij neemt een kijkje op de zolder van Huis Doorn, waar de eigendommen van Wilhelm met veel zorg worden bewaard. Daarnaast bezoekt hij de graven van Wilhelms honden en diens eigen graf.
INTERVIEW met Dick Verroen, conservator Huis Doorn, over zijn werkzaamheden als conservator en over Wilhelm, onder andere over zijn leven en zijn persoonlijkheid, zijn bezittingen die in Huis Doorn aanwezig zijn (onder andere zijn uniformen en pickelhaube (helm), zijn familie en zijn handicap.

Derdejaars studenten Theatre & Education en Interactive Performance Design and Games realiseren een interactieve multimedia voorstelling/zoektocht speciaal voor de bezoekers van het museum. Spel, interactie tussen toeschouwer, performer en nieuwe media staan centraal. De theaterperformance speelt zich af op de grenzen van dagelijkse en gespeelde werkelijkheid.

Kaiser Wilhelm II musste 1918 abdanken. Er ging mit der Kaiserin in die Niederlande, kaufte Haus Doorn bei Utecht und lebte dort bis 1941. Heute ist Huis Doorn und sein Park Museum. Alles ist unverändert, wie zu Kaisers Zeiten

In deze aflevering het vervolg van zijn bezoek aan Huis Doorn te Doorn,
waar de Duitse ex-keizer Wilhelm II van 1918 tot 1941 in ballingschap
leefde. Boudewijn B¸ch wordt door conservator Dick Verroen in Huis
Doorn verder rondgeleid en neemt onder andere een kijkje in de
ontvangsthal, de eetzaal en de privé-vertrekken van ex-keizer Wilhelm
II, waar hij de pantoffels van de keizer mag aanraken.
INTERVIEWS met:
dr. W. von Ilsemann, zoon van de adjudant van de ex-keizer, over het
boek dat zijn vader geschreven heeft over de ballingschap van Wilhelm
II in Doorn. Von Ilsemann vertelt ook anekdotes over Wilhelm, die hij
in zijn kinderjaren nog gekend heeft (ook laat hij een gouden horloge
zien dat hij van Onkel Kaiser gekregen heeft) Dick Verroen,
historicus/conservator Huis Doorn, over de voorouders van Wilhelm II,
het leven van Wilhelm in Doorn, het bezoek van Hermann Gˆring aan
Wilhelm en over de bezittingen van Wilhelm die in Huis Doorn aanwezig
zijn.
