Humphreys Peak Ceremonial Hike - November 11, 2014 - San Francisco Peaks - Arizona
On November 11, 2014, Greg and Angie Widner set out to do a ceremonial offering on the peak of Arizona's highest mountain (12,633 ft) with the goal to be on the summit at 11:11am MST for the blessing. They false-summited at that time and then reached the actual summit around 1:11pm MST allowing Angie to complete the ceremonial offering at 11:11 Alaska time zone!. The offering included Giza crystals, crystals blessed in Bimini, crystals found near Hot Springs, AZ and Peruvian tobacco, Hopi corn and sacred soils from several locations; these were all buried with a blessing ceremony conducted by Angie at the summit in 30-50mph winds.
This is a strenuous 8.25 mile round trip 3,300 ft elevation gain hike that offers spectacular views over the Colorado Plateau, Mogollon Rim and even the Grand Canyon in the distance.
For details of the hike see:
The music is all original piano and digital music played, recorded, mixed by Angie Bray-Widner on 2015-03-03. It represents her heart and soul and has not been edited for perfection... it is 99% improvisational.

Highest Peak in Arizona! || Humphrey's Peak Summit July 2019
Let's Hike: Humphrey's Peak
The highpoint of Arizona at 12,663 feet above sea level, Humphrey's peak stands just north of Flagstaff amidst a group of dormant volcanoes in the San Francisco range. The summit can be most easily reached by hiking the 4.8 miles (7.7 km) long Humphreys Summit Trail that begins at the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort in the Coconino National Forest.
In this vid, Alex Prizzi takes an ad hoc route up the southern slope of the mountain through the late season snow, reaching the summit shortly after sunrise due to an early morning alpine start.

Humphrey’s Peak Summit - 3rd Time
Since snow foiled my summit attempt a month ago I tried again yesterday and successfully completed my hat trick of reaching the summit of Arizona’s highest mountain at 12,633 feet. I drove up from Phoenix very early in the morning and started at 7 am. It took me 4:20 hours to reach the top (that includes a 30 minute break at the saddle) and the timing was perfect as monsoon clouds started rolling in and it thundered 90 minutes later when I was back below the tree line. A difficult but amazing hike!!! Enjoy :)

Humphreys Peak Hike
The adventure brothers Cary and Lee hike to the top of Humphreys Peak, Arizona in 1995. The brothers come across many interesting sights and humorous moments as they work their sickly and untrained bodies up the rocky and steep mountain climb.
In 1995 the video was shot on a vintage Sony camcorder at standard resolution (not HI-8). About 15 years later the video was captured using the same vintage camcorder and a Sony computer with Gigapocket. The video was first saved in MPEG2 format, then later upconverted to high definition H.264 format using PowerDirector 9.0.
