LONDON WALK | Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner | England
A first-person perspective London walk tour of the Wellington Arch (also known as Constitution Arch, or originally, the Green Park Arch) and its surrounding area.
See all the sights as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring the Wellington Arch on Apsley Way and surrounding memorials. The tour takes place at Hyde Park Corner in central London between the corners of Hyde Park and Green Park on the large traffic island containing several memorials, and connects to Hyde Park Corner Underground Station.
Sights seen along the tour include the Wellington Arch with a quadriga on top, Apsley Gate, Australian War Memorial, Equestrian Statue Of The Duke Of Wellington, Machine Gun Corps Memorial, and New Zealand War Memorial.
Footage recorded August 2017.

ROYAL HORSES London / How to RIDE A HORSE - 4K HD
A quick clip of 2 beautiful mounted Horses out for hack-out in Hyde Park, London - 'Early Morning Exercise's - what a beautiful place for a Saturday hack-out.
Horsemanship at it's finest I am sure you will agree - and special thanks to both riders for their time from the Household Cavalry Barracks . ( Read More Below )
The Household Cavalry is made up of the 2 most senior regiments of the British Army, the amazing: Life Guards and the Blues & Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons).
These regiments are divided between the Armoured Regiment stationed at Combermere Barracks in Windsor, London and the ceremonial mounted unit, the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, garrisoned at Hyde Park Barracks (Knightsbridge Barracks) in London.
The Household Cavalry is part of the Household Division and is the Queen's official bodyguard.
Colonel-in-Chief: HM The Queen Elizabeth II
Motto: Honi soit qui mal y pense; (Anglo-Norman); Shamed be he who thinks evil of it .
The Household Cavalry was founded: 1661
Size: Corps of 2 regiments; The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals
Garrison/HQ: RHQ – London, England
We at IDP-Film thank all those who serve in our armed forces & acknowledge what a great job you do for our Queen and our Country.
A Little History of the Life Guards:
Life Guards who have stood guard at Horse Guards, the official entrance to St James and Buckingham Palace, since the Restoration of King Charles II in 1660.
'The Queen's Life Guard', mounted on immaculately groomed horses with breastplates shinning in the sun, present a stirring sight as they ride through the streets of London to Change the Guard on Horse Guards Parade.
The Queen's Life Guard is normally provided by men of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment which consists of a Squadron of The Life Guards, who wear red tunics and white plumed helmets, and a Squadron of The Blues and Royals with blue tunics and red plumed helmets.
The Blues and Royals were formed in 1969 when The Royal Horse Guards, which was known as 'The Blues' or 'The Oxford Blues', and The Royal Dragoons, which was known as 'The Royals' were merged.
They are the only regiment in the British Army officially known by their nickname, 'The Blues and Royals, Instead of being known as the Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons.
Their battle honors stretch back to Tangiers 1662-1680 and include the Battle of Waterloo where they captured the Napoleonic Eagle of the French 105th Infantry Regiment.
The Blues and Royals wear blue tunics and metal helmets with red plumes. Except for the Trumpeters who ride greys, they ride black horses .
During poor weather they may wear a long blue cloak with a red collar.
The Household Cavalry Museum is situated at Horse Guards, in the heart of historic London.
Horse Guards, dating from 1750 is still the headquarters of the Household Division, where the Household Cavalry has changed the Queen?s Life Guard in a daily ceremony that has remained broadly unchanged for over 350 years.
The museum is not just a dazzling display of uniforms, weaponry and priceless artifacts it is a living museum which provides a behind the scenes look the ceremonial and operational roles of the Household Cavalry.
At the Household Cavalry Museum you can see the troopers, in the original 18th century stables, working with their horses through a large glazed partition. Hear compelling personal stories, first hand accounts of the troopers' rigorous and demanding training.
This may not be one of the largest museums you will find in London but audio guides, interactive displays and the chance to try on the uniform of Her Majesty The Queen's Life Guard combined with collection of stunning rare objects make the Household Cavalry Museum well worth the visit.

London, England travel: All the Queen's Horses, Hyde Park, B
London, England travel. Here we see a bit from Humpty Dumpty All the Queen's Horses and Some of the Queen's Men. Then, it's ...just a gate in Hyde Park, followed by Buckingham Palace. More than a day trip from Thornbury Castle, and certainly worth the travel! (You can view this video, and other travel videos in full-size and near-DVD quality, travel stills and more at jpmeyer.com). Thornbury Castle is part of the von Essen Group of hotels, a private collection of individual country house hotels in the UK, each with a distinctive style and character of its own according to vonessenhotels.co.uk, but we think of it as Real People having Real Fun!

@aerialuas sky-net.co.uk London From the Sky. Hyde Park
Hyde Park was created in 1536 by Henry VIll for hunting] He acquired the manor of Hyde from the canons of Westminster Abbey, who had held it since before the Norman Conquest; it was enclosed as a deer park and remained a private hunting ground until James I permitted limited access to gentlefolk, appointing a ranger to take charge. Charles I created the Ring (north of the present Serpentine boathouses), and in 1637 he opened the park to the general public.
In 1689, when William III moved his residence to Kensington Palace on the far side of Hyde Park, he had a drive laid out across its south edge, formerly known as The King's Private Road, which still exists as a wide straight gravelled carriage track leading west from Hyde Park Corner across the south boundary of Hyde Park towards Kensington Palace. The drive is now known as Rotten Row, possibly a corruption of rotteran (to muster),[8] Ratten Row (roundabout way), Route du roi, or rotten (the soft material with which the road is covered).[9] Public transport entering London from the west paralleled the King's private road along Kensington Gore, just outside the park. In the late 1800s, the row was used by the wealthy for horseback rides.[10]
Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in London, and one of the Royal Parks of London. The Park is the largest of four parks which form a chain from the entrance of Kensington Palace through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, via Hyde Park Corner and Green Park (19 hectares), past the main entrance to Buckingham Palace and then on through Saint James's Park (23 hectares) to Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall. The park is divided in two by the Serpentine and the Long Water.
