What Foxconn - Apple's Largest Manufacturer - Is Up To In Wisconsin
Foxconn is the world's largest contract manufacturer of electronics and the biggest assembler of Apple products. Now it's building a massive factory in a village in rural Wisconsin. In a deal heralded by politicians including President Donald Trump and then Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Wisconsin offered Foxconn close to $4 billion in subsidies to bring the project there. In return, Foxconn promised 13,000 jobs and a $10 billion investment in Wisconsin.
In the last two years, however, plans have changed many times and locals have been forced to move to make way for the 3,000 acre project. CNBC got a rare chance to sit down with Foxconn and the Wisconsin official who helped broker the deal to ask: what's really going on with the project? Watch the video to learn more about the international giant trying to build one of the world's largest factories - in the United States.

Governor Scott Walker in Stevens Point - Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation
Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates announced the opening of its new call center and the creation of 150 new jobs in Stevens Point.
Great Lakes selected the Stevens Point community for its new office after an extensive search, and is in the midst of hiring professionals who share its belief in the value of higher education.
To date, Great Lakes has filled 23 positions, from managers and supervisors to call center representatives. These employees are occupying a temporary space until Great Lakes can move into its permanent 20,758-square-foot property in downtown Stevens Point. The new call center, located in the former Dunham's Sports property at 1101 CenterPoint Drive in Stevens Point, is currently undergoing renovations, and is expected to be fully operational in April, 2014.
Governor Scott Walker joined Mayor Andrew Halverson and Great Lakes executives in Stevens Point on December 18 to discuss the positive impact the new office will have on education and economic development in the community.

Medical marijuana is legal in 20 states and the District of Columbia, but there are still use cases that are very controversial, like medical marijuana for children. Some claim it's a wonder drug for epilepsy, severe autism, and even to quell the harsh side effects of chemotherapy, while others decry pumping marijuana into still-growing bodies. We went to the small town of Pendleton, Oregon, where medical marijuana is legal, to visit Mykayla Comstock, an eight-year-old leukemia patient who takes massive amounts of weed to treat her illness. Her family, and many people we met along the way, believe not only in the palliative aspects of the drug, but also in marijuana's curative effect—that pot can literally shrink tumors.
