China Giant Slide Unveiled in Shanghai Shopping Mall
A giant slide was recently unveiled in a Shanghai shopping center, attracting public attention and also sparking safety concerns.
The mall built the five-story steel tube slide that connects the fifth floor to the ground floor.
The big slide easily captures shoppers' attention. Some people were enthusiastic about taking a ride when it opens next month, while others said they were concerned about how safe it is to slide down from the five stories.
It is said to take one only 16 seconds to slide from the top to the bottom.
Local authority said they have required the mall to submit draft and construction plan of the slide for safety check.
We have asked the mall to submit the examining record and the test report of a third party. It will not be allowed to run into operation until relevant documents are handed in, said Zhang Qiangkang, deputy director of safety production supervision department of Shanghai Pudong Safety Production Supervision Bureau.

Century Link Shopping Mall, Shanghai, China September 2018
My visit to China in September started with 3 nights stay in Shanghai. Shanghai is a very large city and there are plenty of interesting places to visit.
The group tour is good in the sense that you don't need to prepare anything but just follow the tour rep.
As this is my first experience in China, I chose a tour group to travel.
I would like to explore myself next time and whilst in Shanghai, I tried the Shanghai Metro. It is a very efficient transport system in Shanghai. All the stations are written in Chinese and English and there is no difference in travelling in London or other Western Cities.
