Iceland, Reykjavik in January - Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle and more! 4K
My wife and I spent 4 nights in Iceland in January 2016. Our highlight was probably the Blue Lagoon but Iceland is just an amazing place that anyone should visit if they get the chance.
The weather was unusually warm, so we didn't actually see much snow. Also the rain and grey skies meant that we couldn't see the northern lights (a good excuse to go back).
All captured on my GoPro Hero 4 Black in 4K, 29fps. I also use my Feiyutech G4 QD stabilising gimbal.
Make sure, if you liked the video, hit the like button and feel free to ask any questions about this amazing destination; i'll try and answer them as quickly as possible.

THINGS TO DO in Iceland (in this episode):
► Hofn - Höfn or Höfn í Hornafirði is an Icelandic fishing town in the southeastern part of Iceland which offers incredible views of the Vatnajökull glacier.
► Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon - Massive ice chunks from the nearby Vatnajökull Glacier float down into the glacier lagoon. You can even take a boat tour into the glacier lagoon and get a closer look.
► Diamond Beach - Diamond Beach is just across the road from the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. It’s called Diamond Beach because large chunks of glacier ice flows down from the lagoon and stick on the black sand beach, which look like diamonds.
► Local Guide of Vatnajökull - Local Guide Glacier Tours is a family owned and operated business that has been running glacier tours since 1991. In the summer months they run glacier hikes over the glacier and in the winter months they offer Ice Cave Tours. Book a tour here - - tell them we sent you : )
► Vatnajökull Glacier Tour - The Vatnajökull Glacier is Europe’s largest glacier, covering 8% of Iceland’s landmass. Traversing down into the dark gray and bright blue caves, seeing the naturally formed underground passageways and glacier rivers - this is definitely one of the most unique experiences of the entire trip.
► Hengifoss - The third highest waterfall in Iceland at 128 meters high. The rock formation around the waterfall is absolutely incredible and its a great little hike along the Fjord in East Iceland.
► Iceland Reindeer - Wild reindeer live only in East Iceland, but like most animals in Iceland, they are not native. Truly incredible to see!
► Seljavallalaug Pool - Built in 1923, its said to bee one of, if not the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. Although it is technically geothermal heated, it’s not the warmest of waters. Be warned.
► Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon - 100 meters deep and about two kilometers long, the Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon is an incredible site to see. It has recently become famous thanks to Justin Bieber shooting his 2015 smash hit “I’ll Show You” here. I can’t lie, I liked the video… minus the underwear scene - not necessary Justin.
► Sólheimasandur Plane Crash - This famous plane crash in Iceland rests on a black sand beach in Southeastern Iceland. It crashed here in 1973, when a US Navy DC plane ran out of fuel - fortunately everyone in the plane survived. It is about a 4km walk from the parking lot to see the plane crash.

Welcome to Iceland Full Film
After a lot of thinking, we decided to release the full Welcome to Iceland Film for totally free, despite having invested a lot of money and time in the project.
All we ask is that you tell us what you think in the comments and if you liked it, Share and follow us on facebook etc.!!!
Coming from a country where Catch and Release is still officially prohibited, two brothers went to Iceland to find out about the state of conservation in a country where fish and free flowing rivers are still abundant, and they came across interesting people along the way.

Tour Iceland in 8 Days with GJ Travel
If it seems like Iceland’s natural wonders are endless, that might be because they are! While that means you’ll never run out of adventures to have in the Land of Fire and Ice, it can be a bit overwhelming for travellers trying to decide what part of this incredible country they want to visit while they’re planning their dream trip. While many opt for the Golden Circle, a route in the south of Iceland, another amazing option is the Outer Ring.
Travelling the Outer Ring of Iceland is a great way to see more of the country, getting a taste of it from every coast. Today, we’re travelling the Outer Ring of Iceland for 8 days with GJ Travel, and we’re bringing you along for the ride! Get ready for geysirs, glaciers, and some incredible views.
Southern Iceland is always a treat, but the less-travelled region of Northern Iceland is truly incredible. Visit one of the most important sites in Iceland’s history: Godafoss. This legendary waterfall is said to have been the waterfall of the Gods, and feeling it’s power for yourself is something very special. Nearby, there are plenty of volcanic craters to hike, natural lagoons to soak in, and botanical gardens to stroll: this is Iceland, afterall!
Of course, the best part of travelling the Outer Ring is that you aren’t limited to just one region. To the east, you’ll see Europe’s most powerful waterfall; to the south, you’ll find some of Iceland’s greatest hits, like Vik’s black sand beaches and spot Icelandic Horses.
No matter which parts of Iceland you decide to visit, you can be sure that your trip is going to be one you never forget. If you’re ready to plan your own Icelandic adventure, head over to TourRadar to view this itinerary or find your dream trip!

TOUR of NORTHERN ICELAND! (AKUREYRI, GODAFOSS, MYVATAN, and DETTIFOSS) ????????2018 vlog
Welcome to Northern Iceland! In this vlog, we embark on a day trip adventure with Air Iceland Connect to see the otherworldly volcanic landscapes and waterfalls in Iceland's northern region.
This tour is for nature lovers and is best to explore during summer. We fly from Reykjavik to Akureyri, a 45-minute flight. We take a full day 10 hour guided tour that includes transportation. Our first stop is the stunning waterfall of Goðafoss.
We travel to Lake Myvatn´s unique nature and pseudo-craters, followed by the Dimmuborgir lava labyrinth. One of the top sights is bubbling Hverarond (aka Hverir), a geothermal area noted for its bubbling pools of mud & steaming fumaroles emitting sulfuric gas. The desolate landscape looks like mars.
Next, we reach one of the main highlights - Dettifoss which is Europe´s most powerful waterfall featured in the movie Prometheus. Next, we visit the volcanic wonderlands of Vatnajokull National Park, Jokulsargljufur canyon, Hljodaklettar (Echo cliffs), Asbyrgi a horse-shoe-shaped cliff formation. We finish our tour in the quaint Husavik fishing town. Lastly, we head to Akureyri to fly back to Reykjavik!
