The parish of the Immaculate Conception, like all other parishes within Marikina city used to be part of the mother parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned, which is one of the oldest parishes in the Diocese and used to cover the entire town of Marikina
The district now called concepcion use to be barrio known as Bayanbayanan whose resident built a small chapel in1949 under the guidance of Rev.Fr. Jose Mirasol who was the chaplain of the Boys Town complex in Parang, and adjacent barrio supportive of the people ‘s efforts, Father Mirasol came to celebrate mass at the chapel each Sunday.
The chapel however was not strong enough to stand the elements and after 3years, it was completely run down. When the Manila Archbishop Rufino Cardinal Santos learned the plight of the residents, he provided the initial funds for the construction of a new chapel.
The community did their part and on December 7, 1957 the new structure was completed and blessed by Cardinal Santos.Masses were celebrated regularly by Rev, Fr. Feliciano Palma, assistant parish of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, composed of the barrios of Bayanbayanan, Parang, Nangka and areas that were late to become the barrios of Marikina Heights and Concepcion Dos Rev. Fr. Jesus A. Arcellana was appointed this time too in response to an appeal from the resident and in honor of the parish patroness the name of the town Bayanbayanan was changed to Concepcion.
The present parish church is an imposing structure built to accommodate the increasing number of parishioners. Located on Bayanbayanan Avenue the cornerstone for the church was laid on the feast of the parish patroness, on December 8, 1969 the church was completed blessed on October 18, 1970 by Cardinal Santos.

May matatag at nag kakaisang pamumunan tungo sa kabalanan kumakaliga sa panagagailangan ng pamilya.
Naghihikayat ng pasiglahin ang mga parokyano umaakay at nag tataguyod sa mga kabataan sa tuling at gabay ng Inang Maria.

A. Ministry on Liturgy-Weekly Gospel Reflection for lectors & commentators
B. Ministry on Formation- Basic Bible Seminar, Basic Orientation Seminar and PREX seminar.
C. Ministry on Service- Weekly BP, Monitoring Church Patio , Job placement screening
D. Youth Ministry-Sport fest before December 8 fiesta
The vision and mission of the church aims to compass the hands of its people. It aides the community in taking the right path of true way on how to get closer to the lord by engaging the different programs, seminars and activities of the church because we are responsible for giving value to our faith. Prayer alone is not enough especially here in our country that we encounter a lot of natural calamities that affects our living. The community must be active in being involve in the agenda of the parish since it is one of the ways on how are we going to survive and succeed in those catastrophes. Without the vision and mission of the church, the value of the practice wouldn’t be effective at all. So it is important for us to be involved and be aware of the different doings of the parish for us to achieve a holistic living with spiritual guidance from our community.
