We started from Palolem in south Goa and reached Mumbai. On our way, we discovered few churches and forts as well. We took the Bengaluru Mumbai Highway to reach Mumbai. Our route was via Anjuna, Amboli, Kolhapur and Pune. We took a small break at Kolhapur McDonalds. It took us 12 hours to reach Mumbai from Anjuna (including our breaks) while google maps were showing 10 and a half hours.
Goa is a state in India within the coastal region known as the Konkan, in Western India. It is bounded by Maharashtra to the north and Karnataka to the east and south, with the Arabian Sea forming its Western coast. It is India's smallest state by area and the fourth smallest by population. Goa has the highest GDP per capita among all Indian states, that is two and a half times that of the country. It was ranked the 'best placed State' by the Eleventh Finance Commission for its infrastructure and ranked on top for the 'best quality of life' in India by the National Commission on Population based on the 12 Indicators.
Panaji is the state's capital, while Vasco da Gama is its largest city. The historic city of Margao still exhibits the cultural influence of the Portuguese, who first landed in the early 16th century as merchants and conquered it soon thereafter. Goa is a former Portuguese province; the Portuguese overseas territory of Portuguese India existed for about 450 years until it was annexed by India in 1961.
Goa is visited by large numbers of international and domestic tourists each year for its white sand beaches, nightlife, places of worship and world heritage architecture. It has rich flora and fauna, owing to its location on the Western Ghats range, a biodiversity hotspot.
Mumbai (also known as Bombay, the official name until 1995) is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the most populous city in India with an estimated city proper population of 12.4 million as of 2011. Along with the neighbouring regions of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, it is the second most populous metropolitan area in India, with a population of 21.3 million as of 2016. Mumbai lies on the Konkan coast on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbour. In 2008, Mumbai was named an alpha world city. It is also the wealthiest city in India, and has the highest number of millionaires and billionaires among all cities in India.
Mumbai is the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. It is also one of the world's top ten centres of commerce in terms of global financial flow, generating 6.16% of India's GDP and accounting for 25% of industrial output, 70% of maritime trade in India (Mumbai Port Trust and JNPT), and 70% of capital transactions to India's economy. The city houses important financial institutions such as the Reserve Bank of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India, the SEBI and the corporate headquarters of numerous Indian companies and multinational corporations. It is also home to some of India's premier scientific and nuclear institutes like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Indian Rare Earths, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Atomic Energy Commission of India, and the Department of Atomic Energy. The city also houses India's Hindi (Bollywood) and Marathi cinema industries. Mumbai's business opportunities, as well as its potential to offer a higher standard of living, attract migrants from all over India, making the city a melting pot of many communities and cultures.

Driving on Delhi-Jaipur Highway (NH 48) - Rajasthan, India
NH 48 is a National Highway of India that starts at Delhi and terminates at Chennai, traversing through six states of India- Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
It has a total length of 2807 km (1744 mi).
Its stretch from Delhi to Mumbai was earlier designated NH 8 and the stretch between Mumbai and Chennai was designated NH 4 before all the national highways were officially renumbered in the year 2010.
It is a 4-lane highway(6-lane in most parts of Gujarat and between Delhi-Jaipur). According to estimates, it is the busiest highway in the subcontinent, as it connects the national capital Delhi and the financial capital Mumbai, as well as important cities Gurgaon, Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
The highway is part of the Golden Quadrilateral project undertaken by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and was the first section to be completed. The Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, Jaipur-Kishangarh Expressway, and NE-1 (Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway) are part of NH 48.

Road trip to Delhi from Jaipur
Driving through the roads of Jaipur city towards Delhi, india.
Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It was founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, after whom the city is named. The city today has a population of 3.1 million. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City
The city is unusual among pre-modern Indian cities in the regularity of its streets, and the division of the city into six sectors by broad streets 34 m (111 ft) wide. The urban quarters are further divided by networks of gridded streets. Five quarters wrap around the east, south, and west sides of a central palace quarter, with a sixth quarter immediately to the east. The Palace quarter encloses the Hawa Mahal palace complex, formal gardens, and a small lake. Nahargarh Fort, which was the residence of the King Sawai Jai Singh II, crowns the hill in the northwest corner of the old city. The observatory, Jantar Mantar, is one of the World Heritage Sites.Included on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Delhi and Agra, Jaipur is an extremely popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and India.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
THE TAJ MAHAL | AGRA | INDIA + Agra Fort and train journey to Jaipur
The Taj Mahal in Agra is perhaps the most iconic building in all of India, and in this video we really explore the Taj Mahal in full detail - including some secret viewpoints to see the Taj Mahal! Agra also offers a few other tourist places to visit such as Agra Fort, a massive structure that can be seen from miles away! After our 2 days in Agra, we then caught the AF to AJMER superfast train from Agra fort station to Jaipur Junction to being the next leg of our journey.
Some tips for Agra!
1. The secret viewpoint where we had lunch is called Saniya Palace. It also had amazing food!
2. AF to AJMER superfast train was really comfortable and we really enjoyed it! We booked AC Chair coach tickets at a very reasonable price. We booked all our train tickets using 12go Asia website.
3. The Taj Mahal cost 1300rs each to enter. We highly recommend paying 1300rs to enter the mousoleum as well. The 1100rs ticket will only allow you to walk around the gardens. You won't be able to walk up to the actual building without the more expensive ticket!!!
4. We had friends visit Agra 2 days after we were there and they said the Agra fort was well worth the money! Bugger we missed out :( so if you have the time we also recommend checking out the fort too!

...ABOUT US...
Hi, we are Erin and Francis, aka the Honeymooners! We are a couple travelling the world for a year on our honeymoon.
In 2016 we travelled throughout South East Asia, and trekked all over the Himalayas of Nepal. We documented the entire trip on our GoPro for our family and friends, but decided to post it all onto YouTube just for a bit of fun as well.
We are newlyweds, happily married since June 2019, and are now living out our dream goal we have had since our last overseas trip, of travelling the world for an entire year on our honeymoon. We have worked so hard towards this goal and want to document the entire journey with you all, so you can join us as we leave our footprints all over this beautiful world.
The world we live in is so diverse and rich with culture, yet the more we travel and the more people we meet along the way, we realise that people share so many similarities no matter what their background is. We love showing these similarities while expressing their cultural differences and hope to capture those moments and show the world.

Driving on Delhi Eastern Peripheral Expressway (NE II) - India
Eastern Peripheral Expressway or National Expressway II (also EPE) is a 135 km (84 mi) long, six-lane expressway passing through the states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The expressway starts from Kundli, Sonipat, passing through Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Noida districts in UP and Faridabad district in Haryana before finally joining the Western Peripheral Expressway near Palwal.
The expressway has been constructed at a cost of ₹11,000 crore (US$1.6 billion) to relieve traffic congestion in the Faridabad - Ghaziabad stretch and also to prevent pollution causing commercial vehicles from entering Delhi.
Government of India approved funding for the expressway in August 2015 on build-operate-transfer mode under NHDP Phase VI.
Eastern Peripheral Expressway is expected to divert more than 50,000 trucks away from Delhi and reduce air pollution in Delhi by 27%. The expressway was inaugurated on 27 May 2018 by the Prime Minister of India.
