Visiting China? I wrote up some things you should know before going --
Chinese wholesale market/mall w 23 Floors. Yes. It's real. It felt like walking thru Alibaba .com lol... I think a lot of the sellers in here are just wholesalers who take orders from sites like Aliexpress.com, alibaba.com, globalsources.com and other wholesale sites around the world.. bc they are always packing up boxes ...... well everywhere around the outskirts of the city of Guangzhou all you see are people moving boxes around haha..... was this better than just scouting for new product ideas on Alibaba.com? Not sure.. sometimes you can get lucky and find that amazingly cool thing.. but that can happen online too.... nonetheless it was a good experience to try out and see what the wholesale scene it all about.
...then we get a bite of some Chinese food, and end it with a preview of the next video, nightlife at O2 club at Party Pier.. click to watch next!

China's international fashion week begins
SHOTLIST
1. VS catwalk for brand St. Eden and cut -way.
2. SOT WANG YANG designer showing in the first session: A pluralistic city with pluralistic feeling has a multiple choice of clothing. It may need a style of beautiful military uniform, it may have a very romantic taste, or very female.
3. Designers take bow with models as first session ends.
4. SOT HUANG SHU, one of the Chief designers of the Brand B&T. I like real woman's clothing, I don't like a pure neutral style; I think women's clothing should have female characteristics, men's clothing should have male characteristics.
5. VS catwalk, BoTao.
6. Cutaway of the audience.
7.VS Catwalk brand B&T.
8. Finale with designers of B&T
9. Finale of designers of BoTao group.
FASHION WEEK OPENS IN BEIJING
=============================
One of China's top designers, BOTAO, showed their 2002 Spring and Summer collection in the opening show of China's International Fashion week last night.
BOTAO Fashion company was established in 1993 and now has over 30 designers and 1000 staff. It owns four brands: BOTAO-Jeans, BOTAO-the new trend, St. Eden and B&T.
First out on the catwalk was the collection from St.Eden. This line was inspired by a particular street, ShiKuMen, in ShangHai city in the 20s and 30s, which was a mixture of Western and Oriental customs. The clothing focused on oriental elegance.
Next out was the Botao collection, entitled 'The Piano Lesson'. Colours were based on black and grey and the clothes were influenced by the more simple designs of the Victorian era when 'new Classic' became 'the Romantic' and the position of women in society was raised.
Finally B&T's clothing was inspired by MuDu, a small town in southern China, which is famous for embroidery. Embroidery was used in the designs to express a smooth touch, quiet and freedom. Colours were based on the blue water of the lake that the town of MuDu is set on.
It is clear from this opening show that Chinese fashion is certainly starting to become more open to personal expression and tastes are maturing daily. Although overall looks are still on the conservative side, smartly dressed, long-limbed model types are no longer a rare sight in China.
On street level, professional Chinese women are wearing feminine jackets coupled with a longer skirt, while the younger set laps up crisp casual looks from Esprit or less costly copycats. Colours are bright, with plenty of shine and stretch.
In Shanghai, the women's style is often described as overdressed, but the outrageous fashion mistakes of the past, such as ankle nylons worn with open sandals or badly clashing prints, are definitely on the wane.
Although changing, the Chinese fashion industry still has little outside influence. It is less than a decade since foreign-style retailing hit China, but it is Asian companies that are so far cashing in on the huge potential of China's 1 billion-strong market.
Even the glossy single-label boutiques for European fashion - names like Bally, Hugo Boss and Celine - are operated by experienced Asian distributors and agents who cut their teeth on tough, competitive home grounds.
It seems that foreign retailing in China will continue to be dominated by Asians for the next few years with problems such as prohibitive import duties, still-limited purchasing power, ever-growing competition from domestic labels added to the high hidden costs of doing business in China.
But experts believe Western retailers need to be bolder. If foreign retailers try and understand and adapt to Chinese tastes, as well as know how to do business in China, they have every chance of being successful.
China's Fashion Week continues throughout this week in Beijing.

SUMMARY
=======
The socialist market economy of the People's Republic of China is the world's second largest economy by nominal GDP and the world's largest economy by purchasing power parity. Until 2015, China was the world's fastest-growing major economy, with growth rates averaging 6% over 30 years. Due to historical and political facts of China's developing economy, China's public sector accounts for a bigger share of the national economy than the burgeoning private sector. According to the IMF, on a per capita income basis China ranked 67th by GDP (nominal) and 73rd by GDP (PPP) per capita in 2018. The country has an estimated $23 trillion worth of natural resources, 90% of which are coal and rare earth metals. China also has the world's largest total banking sector assets of $39.93 trillion (268.76 trillion CNY) with $27.39 trillion in total deposits.China is the world's largest manufacturing economy and exporter of goods. It is also the world's fastest-growing consumer market and second-largest importer of goods. China is a net importer of services products. It is the largest trading nation in the world and plays a prominent role in international trade and has increasingly engaged in trade organizations and treaties in recent years. China became a member of the World Trade Organization in 2001. It also has free trade agreements with several nations, including ASEAN, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Korea and Switzerland. The provinces in the coastal regions of China tend to be more industrialized while regions in the hinterland are less developed. As China's economic importance has grown, so has attention to the structure and health of the economy.To avoid the long-term socioeconomic cost of environmental pollution in China, it has been suggested by Nicholas Stern and Fergus Green of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment that the economy of China be shifted to more advanced industrial development with low carbon dioxide emissions and better allocation of national resources to innovation and R&D for sustainable economic growth in order to reduce the impact of China's heavy industry. This is in accord with the planning goals of the central government. Xi Jinping's Chinese Dream is described as achieving the Two 100s, namely the mat ...

Beijing (, nonstandard ;
Mandarin pronunciation: [pèi.tɕíŋ] (listen)), formerly romanized as Peking, is the capital of the People's Republic of China, the world's third most populous city proper, and most populous capital city. The city, located in northern China, is governed as a municipality under the direct administration of central government with 16 urban, suburban, and rural districts. Beijing Municipality is surrounded by Hebei Province with the exception of neighboring Tianjin Municipality to the southeast; together the three divisions form the Jingjinji metropolitan region and the national capital region of China.Beijing is an important world capital and global power city, and one of the world's leading centers for politics, economy and business, finance, education, culture, innovation and technology, architecture, language, and diplomacy. A megacity, Beijing is the second largest Chinese city by urban population after Shanghai and is the nation's political, cultural, and educational center. It is home to the headquarters of most of China's largest state-owned companies and houses the largest number of Fortune Global 500 companies in the world, as well as the world's four biggest financial institutions. It is also a major hub for the national highway, expressway, railway, and high-speed rail networks. The Beijing Capital International Airport has been the second busiest in the world by passenger traffic since 2010, and, as of 2016, the city's subway network is the busiest and second longest in the world.
Combining both modern and traditional architecture, Beijing is one of the oldest cities in the world, with a rich history dating back three millennia. As the last of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Beijing has been the political center of the country for most of the past eight centuries, and was the largest city in the world by population for much of the second millennium A.D. Encyclopædia Britannica notes that few cities in the world have served for so long as the political headquarters and cultural center of an area as immense as China. With mountains surrounding the inland city on three sides, in addition to the old inner and outer city walls, Beijing was strategically poised and developed to be the residence of the emperor and thus was the perfect location for the imperial capital. The city is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, parks, gardens, tombs, walls ...

Turin (; Italian: Torino [toˈriːno] (listen); Piedmontese: Turin [tyˈriŋ] (listen)) is a city and an important business and cultural centre in northern Italy.
