From the Cliffs of Moher, we continue our travelling day deep into the Burren. An amazing scenic drive along Europe’s edge ... next stop North America! Continuing around Galway Bay towards Galway city we pass the Blackhead Lighthouse and on through Kinvara fishing village famed for its Galway Hookers (boats) and Dunguire Castle built in 1520 and originally the royal palace of the King of Connaught.
There are so many stories to be told about this part of Ireland that you will be thrilled that you have chosen to travel with the only day tour company from Dublin that has a dedicated professional tour guide to involve you with everything you see and a driver that must concentrate fully on the road in this very remote part of Ireland.
We arrive in Galway City described by the writer W.B Yeats as “The Venice of the West”. Galway, city of the tribes is Ireland’s cultural capital. This free-spirited, artistic and bohemian city has an ambience all of its own. Take a 30 minute guided walking tour (included in the ticket) and learn all about this medieval city and its Spanish trading connections. After the walking tour, you are free to explore the narrow pedestrian musical streets, discover its secrets with numerous speciality shops, boutique and cafes.
Saying goodbye to Galway the day tour returns to Dublin. Sit back relax and listen to the music. The onboard entertainment will include extracts from the show Riverdance and other select examples of Irish culture which is determined by the tour guide who is looking after you for the day.
Arriving in Dublin with wonderful memories, to be sure!

Galway and Irish Countryside - Irish Day Tours, Part 1
We took a Connemara day tour from Dublin through Irish Day Tours and it was so fun! The tour capacity was much smaller than normal which made it so much lovelier! Even the driving bits were nice because the countryside is just so beautiful and green~ Galway was also pretty cool, but we only had about an hour there, so we just got to walk around a bit. :(
Part 2 will be Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, and Killarney. Please look forward to it~!

The Burren, Aillwee Cave, Dunguaire Castle-Day Trip from Galway, Ireland
On this great day trip from Galway, Ireland, we saw The Burren, a 100 square mile region known for its rocky formations; Aillwee Cave which was discovered by a farmer in 1940 who then waited 33 years to tell anyone about his discovery; and Dunguaire Castle, an historical 16th century tower house. Transcript:
On this episode of Traveling with Krushworth
My first stop is Galway, County Galway
Before adventuring into the countryside.
Travel with me and walk the streets of this Irish-speaking city.
Immerse yourself in the music and culture
On a stroll through the Latin Quarter. Don’t miss the historic King’s Head Pub.
Sit for a while in Eyre Square, walk through the Spanish Arch
A part of the medieval system of walls, or cast a line into the River Corrib,
I’m in the medieval city of Galway
And as you can see, I’m walking down the heart of the centre itself.
There’s pubs, there’s buskers, there’s music everywhere.
There’s someone just setting up here.
It is an amazing place, but as I’m walking around
And showing you some of the things to see,
I hope you have a great time Traveling with Krushworth
Alright, thanks again and see you soon.
A city of faith both new and old, Galway has an ages-old medieval past.
The church of St. Nicholas, a saint revered by mariners
Was visited by Christopher Columbus in 1477.
Reflect upon the past, but the city truly lights up
When a favourite rugby team wins big.
So if you couldn’t tell, it’s Sunday and I found the weekend market.
Which takes place throughout in the summer time.
There’s food, there’s art vendors
It is quite the sight and it stretches on for quite a long ways.
Alright I’ll continue on. See you later.
Spend time at Salthill's oceanside promenades and then bid farewell to Galway.
Venture into the alien Burren region, a landscape inhabited
By early people for thousands of years.
The Burren in County Clare is an alien-like landscape
Known for its ancient inhabitants who scratched out their existence upon the rocks.
The Neolithic portal tomb at Poulnabrone stitches together a tapestry
Of Ireland’s first farmers, a society with archaic, but telling death rituals.
Upon your visit to medieval Kilfenora, it’s easy to see why
Travelers are enthralled with the religious high crosses.
Gaze at the Doorty Cross and marvel at the 12th century cathedral ruins.
Alright, well it was a long trip by bus
because of course, I can’t apparate like Dumbledore and Harry Potter did.
But if you guys are fans of Half Blood Prince, this was
One of the locations in the film for Voldemort’s Horcrux,
You know, the scene in the cave
But I’ll show you more as I’m walking around
See you later.
Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands
Continues to offer visitors a quintessential Irish experience
As soon as the ferry lands at the pier.
Before the adventure begins, travelers should
Explore quaint, picturesque Kilronan town.
For those who want to further connect with this ages-old landscape,
Rent a bicycle from the shop near the ferry dock before
Setting out for the island’s treasured hill fort, Dun Anghosa.
Populated since 3,000 BCE, the Aran Islands are a world of Stone Age forts
Wedge tombs, early Christian religious sites
And a land of storied tradition and immense heritage.
Climb the rocky hill to Dun Aonghosa, a stone fort originally built in 1,100 BCE.
Walk through the gates, and carefully stand, or crawl
To what the ancients saw as the world’s edge.
Perched precariously on this bleak outcropping overlooking the Atlantic Ocean
This must-see hill fort is a reminder of a turbulent past,
But also of a people who built an engineering marvel.

Adventures in the Island of Ireland
The island of Ireland, consisting of Northern Ireland (UK) and The Republic of Ireland is a playground for an adventurer, and we set out on a two week journey to discover both. The rolling countrysides filled with ancient ruins and marvels like the Giants Causeway, are the reason the many of the scenes of Game of Thrones is filmed in Northern Ireland.
We set out on a mission to discover the adventures that the island or Ireland has to offer, meet the Irish people and find out how they like to have a good time. We started our journey in Belfast where we visited the Titanic Museum and took a city tour. We then went on to Sheen's horse farm in the Glens of Antrum where we took a horse back journey through the countryside. This is an area that is close to the Bushmills distillery where the Dark Hedges on the Game of Thrones are located. Just close to here is also Northern Ireland's biggest tourist destination, the Giants Causeway which is 44,000 hexagonal basalt columns sticking out the ground. Why they are there? Well there's many myths and theories about why they are there.
After this we stopped off at the small seaside town of Portrush, where we went to catch our breakfast in the sea, before taking to the beach to try out blowkarting. It's a fast sport that can only be described as mixing windsurfing and go-karting. But that wasn't enough adrenaline for us, as we then went on to try hovercraft racing before heading to Londonderry.
In Londonderry, or Derry as many prefer to call it, we toured the city by boomboard before some midnight kayaking along the river Foyle.
We then took a tour from Londonderry to the bustling city of Dublin, known as one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. The economy has been strong in the last decade which has only added to the buzz of the place. I’m was intrigued to find out about the ways of life of the people here so I tried my hand at the Irish sport of Hurling at Croke Park, and visited the Guinness Storehouse to see how it is made.
Just outside of Dublin we went white water rafting in the River Liffy, to get the adrenaline going again. We then set off a 4 hour road trip to the beautiful Galway county on the west coast to the Connemara region, famous for it’s scenic mountains, lakes and rich Irish traditions. The dephi mountain resort is where we headed which has an activity center with some unique Irish past time hobbies they want me to try out, which included ziplining and bog diving. If you want a laugh, then you should make sure you see this part of the video.
After we got cleaned up I traveled three hours to Kildare County, to Kildare House or the K Club as it’s commonly called, a vast and beautiful country estate built in 1857 by the Barton family which was a British family of land owners who leased the land around for agricultural purposes. The house changed hands many times through the 1900’s and became a hotel in 1991. You can see by some of the art work that’s theres some very valuable and prestigious things hanging on the wall.
We came here to find out about another Irish past time, Horse racing as Kildare county is home to many of the worlds leading horse breeders. I went to take a look at the Irish National Horse Stud to see what goes into breeding racing champions.
Race horse breeders and trainers from around the world bring their mares to the Irish National Stud to breed. But it is also a home to many retired racehorses, as well as has a beautiful Japanese garden that’s popular among visitors.
After learning all we could about breeding racehorses, we were off to the Curragh race track where I’ve caught up with Colm McLoughin, the CEO of Dubai Duty Free who are the official sponsors for the Irish Derby. Having been kitted out back in Dubai by Kachins tailors in a black tailcoat, we turned some heads.
We ended the two weeks at the Irish Derby, dressed dapper and living the high life. It was an amazing two weeks and we saw as much of Ireland as we possibly could. I hope you enjoy the video.
Thanks to Discover Ireland for arranging the tour and their welcoming support with filming.

We are taking you along one of the world's most scenic drives on the west coast of Ireland. It's called the Wild Atlantic Way, passing countless green fields, greener than green with cows grazing in the meadows along with some craggy limestone landscapes in what's called the Burren, and then driving further south, passing some remote villages, isolated homesteads, beaches, with a ferry ride across the Shannon River, then a scary drive across the Dingle Peninsula and over the rugged Comor Pass, eventually arriving in Dingle town.

Ireland Adventure Trips
Ireland Adventure Trips a small country with a big reputation, helped along by a timeless, age-caressed landscape and a fascinating, friendly people, whose lyrical nature is expressed in the warmth of their welcome.
Ireland of the Postcard
Yes, it exists. Along the peninsulas of the southwest, the brooding loneliness of Connemara and the dramatic wildness of County Donegal. You'll also find it in the lakelands of Counties Leitrim and Roscommon and the undulating hills of the sunny southeast ('sunny' of course being a relative term). Ireland has modernised dramatically, but some things never change. Brave the raging Atlantic on a crossing to Skellig Michael or spend a summer's evening in the yard of a thatched-cottage pub and you'll experience an Ireland that has changed little in generations, and is likely the Ireland you most came to see.
Ireland Adventure Trips ...for you tread on history. Ireland's history presents itself everywhere: from the breathtaking monuments of prehistoric Ireland at Brú na Bóinne to the fabulous ruins of Ireland's rich monastic past at Glendalough and Clonmacnoise. More recent history is visible in the Titanic museum in Cobh to the forbidding Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin. And there's history so young that it's still considered the present, best experienced on a black-taxi tour of West Belfast or an examination of Derry's astonishingly colourful political murals.
Magic Ireland Adventure Trips!!!
