The Best of Sweden - VEN
VEN is an island in the Öresund, located approximately 4.5 km from the Swedish west coast and 8.5 km from the nearest point on Sealand of Denmark. The island belongs to Landskrona. It has an area of 7.5 km2 and has 356 inhabitants. Geographical location: 55 ° 54'N 12 ° 42'O / 55.9, 12.7.
Ven is known for the steep coast Reversing Fall. The Danish scientist Tycho Brahe built in the 1500s the castle Uranienborg and its observatory Stjerne Borg around the center of the island. On Ven is also St Ibbs church.
The island is a plateau that rises up to 39 meters. This peak has no name but it is not far from Ven's southernmost tip. The landscape is fertile thanks to the mild climate. Moraine soil is clay and is where the well-suited for farming. Here is grown the past few years grapes and garlic and it is one of the northernmost places in Europe where it is okay to grow durum wheat (Triticum durum) used for the production of pasta.
Along the coast killed the island steep down to the sea where the Sound faces a rocky beach. The steep coastal called for Reversing Fall. Larger forests missing with minor stands of trees before the closest coast.
The major industries on the island is mainly tourism, fisheries, shipping and agriculture. Earlier there was where a brickyard. Capital of Ven Tuna is close to the island's center.
Church Square is called the fishing village and port in the island's west coast. Brook bay is also a port and fishing village. This is where the ferry from Landskrona adds.

A trip to the Swedish island of Ven (spelled Hven in Swedish) on July 31, 2015 recorded with a GoPro Hero 4 Black in 4K Ultra HD resolution. To begin with this video start with a little sailaway from the port of Copenhagen and then we're sailing to Ven. On the island I am cycling in order to get around because the island is very little and to visit the Tycho Brahe Museum, Spirit of Hven - a distillery as well as a four star Conference and Hotel resort with Restaurant and Pub and I am also visiting Saint Ibb's Church and the magnificent view from there. Before getting back to the boat I bought some goat cheese in a little local dairy.

How to reach, if you are in Sweden?
The journey starts at Skeppsbron in Landskrona, where you board a Ventrafik boat. The transfer takes about 30 minutes and offers a stunning view of the sea and the coast.
You have to buy a ticket or if you have Skane region card then you don’t need to but preference would be given to those who bought the ticket so you should wait for your turn.
Do grab a paper map of the island at Ventrafiken.

When to visit?
The best time to visit is May – Mid September. Sun and wind makes a perfect combination.
What to expect?
It is great place to experience biking in the lap of nature. With lush green and yellow farms, beaches & beautiful coastal line & eating options are available, what else to ask for.
But this island offers much more-
Tycho Brahe Museum –It covers the Brahe’s life and significance to the scientific community and includes a weather station, a playground and a reconstructed renaissance garden.
Church : Beautiful and ancient church, capture the stunning view from here.
Spirit of Hven. You can go on a guided tour and sample its whisky and other products. There is also a hotel/conference centre, whisky bar and restaurant on site.
Information on the bike?
There are around 1500 bikes, you can book online or come early to choose your type of bike.
Bikes are for kids, for adults. Price starts from SEK (Swedish Krones) – 80.
Rental Timings- 9:00am to 9:00pm
Rent a tandem, a bike with a trailer, a bike with a baby basket or an ordinary two-wheeler with however many gears you’d like.
Grab a map (for free) and then you’re good to go!

Hven Island, Sweden - Denmark (feat. Citra) || AradikaChannel
Hven Island is located in the Øresund strait between Sweden and Denmark. I took the ferry from Landskrona, Sweden. The trip to this islands is about 30 minutes.
I personally recommend coming here during late spring or early summer to see the rapeseed flower. It is very beautiful.
There are several restaurants and cafe in the area. You can also rent a bike to explore the island but a walk is also possible.
