A look at the grounds of the Route 66 RV Resort near the Route 66 Casino just west of Albuquerque NM. Excellent new, modern, clean place to spend a night or two. The casino buffet is good, cheap fare. We're pretty tame gamblers, but still managed to lose $21 on the penny slot machines!

Enchanted Trails RV Park - Albuquerque, NM.
Right off the Interstate, Enchanted Trails was more than I imagined. The staff was friendly, sites level, hook-ups in good order and the Trading Post was fun to peruse. The owner has a passion for travel nostalgia and everything connected to the old Route 66 of yesteryear. Vintage trailers with vintage furnishings pulled by vintage cars dot the park and some are available for self-tours. The clubhouse area is made up of smaller rooms, all filled with memorbillia from the 40s and 50s. There is only one bathroom in the main building but it is residential standard and clean as clean can be. The best part of this park however, is that they honor Passport America (and we were there on a Tuesday) :-)
