SIGHTSEEING IN TOKYO| TOKYO TOWER|RICKSHAW TOUR|SENSO-JI TEMPLE| TRAVEL w/ALEHK
So we started off sightseeing Tokyo the following day after having the best time of our lives Go Karting around Tokyo. My friends and I started off by visiting Tokyo Tower which had an amazing 360 view of the the city. It was awesome to see how big Tokyo actually is and knowing that a lot of people reside in Tokyo. Definitely a great way to see the beauty of Tokyo and its buildings, temples, and historical landmarks. After, we headed out Senso-Ji Temple, but came across BEAUTIFUL temples and Japanese gardens that we couldn't resist not going to see them. We then continued to Senso-Ji temple, but came across a ricksahw bike that was going to take us on a journey to sightsee Tokyo and to Sensi Ji Temple. We then finally made it to Senso- Ji Temple and were blown away at the architecture and beauty of the landmark.
If you made it towards the end of the video, then you are fully aware of whats to come on the LAST and FINAL vlog of my Tokyo Trip!! Be sure to hit Like on this video. Thanks for watching and I'll see you guys next week Sunday at 3pm.

A PARK FULL OF BOWING DEER IN JAPAN
We made it to Nara, Japan and were so excited to feed the deer here! After waiting for Justin, we took the train to Kintetsu-Nara station, right by Nara Park where we started seeing deer. If you bow to them, they bow to you in the hopes of getting a deer biscuit to eat. If you're wondering how expensive it is to travel in Japan, our day trip from Osaka to Nara was under $25 CAD per person including deer biscuits, transit and food. There is no cost to enter the deer park since they're practically roaming through the entire city but some of the temples in Nara do have an entrance fee.

HANGING WITH DEER IN JAPAN!!! Nara Day Trip from Kyoto
While we were staying in Kyoto we decided to do a day trip to Nara, the historic city in Japan that is famous for being filled with sacred deer.
Doing a Nara day trip from Kyoto independently was very easy and cheap, and we managed to visit most of the main attractions in one day. Besides the deer hanging out in Nara Park (and everywhere else in the city), we saw the Todai-ji Temple, Isui-en Garden, Kasuga-taisha Shrine, and more.
There are a lot of things to do in Nara, so it'd definitely be worth spending a few days here if you had the time. But if you're on a tight schedule, don't worry, because you can still do a lot.
If you're looking for a great day trip from Kyoto, make sure you check out all the cool things you can do with one day in Nara in our travel vlog.

Temple Hopping Around Ueno | Japan 2016 | Episode 25
Our first stop on our temple hop was Tennoji Temple in the Yanaka area just a short walk north from Ueno. It is a walled complex with a large Buddha statue, gardens and beautiful buildings. It was so peaceful while we were there, having it to ourselves for the most part of our visit. Right outside of Tennoji Temple is Yanaka Cemetery, a large cemetery which used to be connected to the temple in years past.
After wandering around the cemetery for awhile we started to make our way to our next destination for the day, deciding to take a route through a little residential area with a few smaller temples dotted around according to Google Maps. What we found was an extremely charming neighbourhood with temple after temple to visit. It took us a lot longer to make our way to our next destination because it seemed that at every turn there was a new temple to explore.
After visiting our last temple in the Yanaka area, with it’s large golden Buddha statue, we were hungry and happened upon a little Chinese restaurant. It was a little hole in the wall kind of place but produced some amazing food which hit the spot and sent us on our way to Nezu Shrine.
This shrine is located on very large grounds, feeling more like a park with a shrine. It was very green and leafy, had a large pond with koi and several pathways lined with orange torii gates. It was the torii which lured us in, but the shrine building and it’s accompanying gate turned out to be outstanding and slightly unusual for it’s lavish embellishments.
Our last stop along our hop was Ueno Toshogu Shrine located in Ueno Park. This shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu who was the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. It’s similarly lavish as Nezu Shrine, a very similar looking construction method. It’s hard to get a sense of the grandeur of the Shrine as it’s gated and visitors are not allowed inside the guarded area.
We strolled out of Ueno Park via a pathway lined with trees lite up to resemble cherry blossoms, at least that was our take, and past a octagonal temple on Benten Island.
All that hopping had us hungry and we were craving BBQ meats. We headed to the red light district, Kabukicho, where we’ve had success finding a great little place in the past. After taking in some of the spectacle of Kabukicho we found a BBQ place which felt oddly familiar. Nicole thought we had eaten there before. It was fantastic, nothing quite like grilling your own meat over charcoal at your table.
Full we headed home via Shinjuku Station, the large station right next to Kabukicho.
We hope you enjoy coming along and enjoying the sights with us.

DAY 95 - DAY 95 - TRAVELLING AROUND TOKYO | 東京 // 13.01.2017
So today we had to throw our original plan out the window due to us getting out of bed late and missing the opening times of Tsukiji fish market (which we will head to tomorrow)
Anyways it still gave us the perfect opportunity to head to the Imperial Palace and to the neighbouring district of Ginza.
Ginza is one of the oldest shopping districts of Tokyo and for us it felt much busier than Shibuya. The word Ginza translates to 'Silver Mint', our interpretation of this is that you need to be 'minted' in order to shop here.
It didn't look like it in the video but we actually walked ALOT today, so we headed home early to get some energy for another day in Tokyo.
We hope you all enjoy this video and as always...

Tokyo Japan Travel Vlog 2017 EP 4 | meowwchannel
Like all good things, my Japan trip has come to an end. Here are my last two days featuring THE GHIBLI MUSEUM, Tokyo Station, Golden Gai, Robot Restaurant, Ippudo and more!
Here's what went down:
Day 9: We took a look around Kappabashi a.k.a Kitchen Town. To our surprise, everything was literally kitchen utensils and tools! We kept exploring the area and noticed the Tokyo Sky Tree from afar and somehow ended up at Orange Street, which is really close to Sensoji Temple! After lunch at Ippudo, we went back to Akihabara (I know, I know) again so he could go on a shopping spree one last time. Time flew by and soon the sun was setting. We jumped on the train and headed to Tokyo Station. The station was HUGE and we got lost in there so many times. We went to first avenue inside the station and saw a lot of food shops, souvenir shops and a bunch of ramen restaurants. The restaurants there were pretty pricey though. We also got to explore Character Street where there was a Donguri store selling all things Ghibli! Starving, we decided it was time to leave so we quickly went across the street to Kitte Mall. The mall was gorgeous and quite fancy inside. We headed to the rooftop and got to take in the night view of the whole Tokyo station before heading back to Shinjuku for dinner.
Day 10: On our last day, we left the best for last: The Ghibli Museum! We got the tickets in advance because they sell out faster than hot cakes. We went there thinking that we wouldn't be able to get any footage or pictures of our magical experience since pictures are not allowed inside but there were plenty of interesting stuff to look at from the outside too! I loved how there were minute details on the walls, bricks, bathrooms, and even plants. Once we got inside, we traded our paper tickets for a film strip ticket. Later on, we were able to insert the film strips into a machine to project the image larger. First, we watched a short film in a very cozy and cute auditorium room. Then, we explored the other sections. I loved the room with all of the draft drawings of the Ghibli characters because I was really able to see how the process came about. But my ultimate favorite was definitely the huge cat bus. When I sat down, I literally sunk in it like in the movie! It was soo furry and soft. In a way I'm glad that pictures were not allowed inside because everybody would be hogging up the bus trying to take pictures! And I really appreciated just enjoying the experience and not worrying about capturing it all. They had a souvenir shop and a rooftop where the Robot from Castle in the Sky stood. It was SO TALL. After an amazing morning at the museum, we explored Isetan in Shinjuku. They have an amazing food court so we bought some delicacies from there for lunch. Then we decided to just linger around Shinjuku since we had to head back earlier to pack. We didn't expect Golden Gai to be so long but people weren't kidding when they said the restaurants are super small. Most places only fit five people and 10 maximum. During my time in Japan, I saw a lot of crepes with a slice of cheesecake inside but I never actually tried them so since it was my last chance to, I did! I was expecting it to be 10x better than a regular crepe but it was pretty average. At night, we passed by Shin Okubo and the fried chicken garlic was really tempting so we opted for Korean food instead of Japanese cuisine. I know, pretty dumb of us! But we got to eat one last Japanese meal at the airport the next day!
Thanks for tuning in and please subscribe for more delicious food videos and adventures!

25 Things To Do in Tokyo, Japan (Watch This Before You Go)
Get info about things to do, where to stay, and the best food to eat on your visit to Tokyo, Japan. Here's the guide:
Tokyo (東京), Japan, is one of the world's greatest cities, and there's so much to do and see when you visit. From temples and shrines, to gardens and museums, you'll never run out of attractions. Out of all the things you could do, I've chosen a top 25 list for this awesome city (and just so you know food is my first choice in Tokyo)!
1. Ameya-Yokochō (アメヤ横丁) - A giant open air market that offers clothes, cosmetics, food, and restaurants and bars.
2. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮) - This Shinto shrine, surrounded by beautiful forest, is extremely significant.

14. Senso-ji (金龍山浅草寺) - Visiting this temple is one of the top things to do in Tokyo, frequented by both tourists and religious pilgrims. It's the oldest temple in Tokyo.
15. Edo-Tokyo Museum (江戸東京博物館) - It looks a little like a UFO, but it's one of Tokyo's main museums, that aims to preserve the history of the city.

21. Yoyogi Park (代々木公園) - Located next to Meiji Shrine, and just a short distance from Harajuku and Shinjuku, this park is popular for exercise and dance.
22. Nezu (根津), Yanaka (谷中 (台東区) - Tokyo is a truly modern city, but there are a couple places like Nezu and Yanaka that have held strong to their traditional and cultural roots.
23. Onsen (温泉) - You've got to strip down naked before you can enter a Japanese public bath.

Thank you very much for watching this video that includes some of the best things to do in Tokyo. I hope it will give you inspiration to visit and eat through this amazing city.

Japan Ep.6 - Kyoto : Power [ ????]and Pleasure [ ????]
The last episode was about Tokyo finale. When we left the Samurai Museum it was already dark and we were in a rush to go back to the hotel and pack. On the run, we took a few pictures of Shinjuku .
Next day it was back to Tokyo Central moving our headquarters to Osaka for another week of Japanese immersion.
Kyotogyoen
After a very brief Shinkansen ride to Kyoto, we start our visit with Kyoto-Gyoen National Gardens, which surrounds the Imperial Palace and the Sento Palace.
Sento Palace
We booked our free visit to the Sento Palace two months in advance via the Internet. You can find more details about the Sento and Omiya Palaces in the section “Did you know?” at the end of this video.
Only the gardens are open to the public and only in the form of a guided tour. The guided tour is Japanese only but many other languages are available via an audio guide like in any other museum.
The gardens are of monumental simplicity, the expression of hundreds of years of cultural distillation. But every bridge, every rock and every patch of moss have deep significance. The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is totally in reverse in a Japanese garden. You need to hear first the thousand words before you can absorb the beauty of the garden.
The “bridge of six tiles” or the “beach of thousands rocks” are exactly what the name says but there is a long story behind. The audio guide will tell it to you.
Nijo-Ji Castle
Not far from the Imperial Palace is the Nijo-Ji castle, the residence of the Shogun. Until the Meiji restoration in 1868, the local Shogun was representing the real political power. His palace and gardens are no less refined than the Imperial Palace.
But the resemblance stops here; the Shogun's palace is protected by double fortifications and deep moats. Many of its corridors use so called nightingale floors built to squeak when stepped on, warning the guards about the intruders.
Well... the Shogun was the most feared but not the most loved person in the land.
Teramachi Arcade
Kyoto is also a modern city, with numerous shopping venues. The arcade offers a more traditional approach to modern shopping, far from the larger department stores of the Gion district.
Gion District
Gion district used to be the “pleasures quarters” but evolved into an entertainment district.
There is a narrow street where, after hours of chasing, you may get a glimpse of a Geisha. They appear and disappear in just a few moments, faster than you can grab and turn on your camera. Set your camera ???? to 120 FPS if you want to have a chance to capture the fugitive image of a Geisha.
Kyoto Temples & Best Tonkatsu in Japan! Japan Summer 2017
Hi everyone! We made it to Kyoto! This is our first day in Kyoto, and we spend the morning in a museum before heading to my favourite restaurant in Kyoto for Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet, don't worry if you don't like pork, they do chicken too!). We then head over to see the Silver Pavilion, The Philosopher's Path and the temples at Nanzenji. Thanks for watching!
