0:12-Intro
0:13-1:07 Overview of transportation options to Narita Airport
The options are...
-Express Train - Narita Express and Keisei Skyliner
-Local Bus
-Bus - LCC and limousine
-Taxi
Basically LCC buses are the cheapest way to go, and express trains and limousine are about the same price.
1:08-1:28 Overview of express train
-Narita Express is great for people staying in south west area including Shinjuku, Shibuya and Tokyo.
-Keisei Skyliner is great for people staying in north east area including Ueno and Nippori.
1:29-2:52 How to ride the express train
-From the Airport:
When you arrive at Narita Airport, go to B1. You will find RED Narita Express ticket booth and machines on the right and BLUE Skyliner ticket booth and machines on the left.
-To the Airport:
N'EX - Go to your nearest JR station to buy ticket. You can buy tickets even though express train does not stop at your nearest station.
Skyliner - Go to Nippori or Ueno to buy tickets.
2:52-4:05 Tips on express train
Tip 1 - Arrive to the station 15-20 minutes early (on return)
There is always a long line at the ticket booth and the platform to get on the train might be quite far from the gate so make sure to arrive early.
Tip 2 - Use ticket machine when in hurry
Usually you don't need to wait in line for ticket machines to buy a ticket and takes only about 5 minutes. Consider this as an option when you are in hurry.
Tip 3 - Sit at the front of the car
Luggage compartment is located at the front and the end of the each car of express train. People get stuck when getting the luggage upon arrivals. It is stressful to worry about if you can get out or not so it's good to sit at the front. (the end is ok too.)
Note: About tickets
when you buy tickets by credit card, you will receive 3 tickets - an express train ticket, receipt, and credit card receipt. You need to show only the train ticket to the train attendant.
CORRECTION: X 4 ticket → ◉ 3 tickets
(I was with my gf so we had 4 tickets.)
4:05 - 5:22 Bus
- LCC (Tokyo Shuttle and Access Narita) can take you to/from Tokyo and Ginza Station.
- Limousine Bus runs to/from major hotels.
5:23 - 6:05 How to take the bus
-Limousine Bus and Tokyo Shuttle - At Narita Airport on the first floor, you can find ticket machines and man booth.
-Access Narita - All you need to do is go to the train stop and pay on the bus. No reservation needed.

How to get from Narita Airport to Central Tokyo
#DistantLands #NaritaAirport #Tokyo
Wheels down, you have landed at Narita Airport your next step is to grab your bags, clear customs and then make your way to Tokyo. Narita airport is located about 60 kilometers east of Tokyo and the options for getting to from Narita to Tokyo are many and varied from Train, bus, taxi and even helicopter. For the first time visitor, the variety can seem a bit overwhelming. Depending on where your final destination is in Tokyo, one way may be more convenient than an other. Let us sort out the confusion.
Tokyo is a vast metropolitan area, with over 770 square miles to explore. Locals speak of Tokyo’s geography in terms of Train Lines. There’s a loop line around central Tokyo called the Yamanote Line. The neighborhoods on this line and the neighborhoods with in the loop are all considered downtown Tokyo. The Yamanote loop includes six stations the serve as Tokyo’s main connecting hubs: Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinagawa and Ueno stations. Anything outside the Yamanote loop is considered uptown or suburbia. This makes Tokyo’s downtown massive: the loop is 21.4 miles around.
All of this is important when considering transportation options from Narita Airport. One express train may be better for you than the other depending where in Tokyo you need to go.

Touring Tokyo on the Yamanote line
Touring Tokyo on the Yamanote line
Tokyoites often say that the best way to get to know their city is to travel station by station around the Yamanote line, the city's iconic elevated loop line, running since 1925. The route includes well-known neighbourhoods like Shinjuku, Ueno, Akihabara and Shibuya, but also local spots that few outsiders visit.
The Yamanote Line (山手線 Yamanote-sen) is a railway loop line in Tokyo, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It is one of Tokyo's busiest and most important lines, connecting most of Tokyo's major stations and urban centres, including Marunouchi, the Yūrakuchō/Ginza area, Shinagawa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Ueno, with all but two of its 29 stations connecting to other railway or underground (subway) lines.
As an official line name, Yamanote Line indicates the tracks between Shinagawa and Tabata via Shinjuku that are used by local trains on their own tracks as well as the parallel Yamanote Freight Line which is used by Saikyō Line and Shōnan-Shinjuku Line trains, some limited express services, and freight trains. However, in everyday usage the Yamanote Line refers to the entire 34.5 km loop line served by local trains
Can I use JR pass on Yamanote Line?
Japan Rail Pass holders can take advantage of the line for free. Taking any train on the Yamanote line is fully included in the JR Pass. Furthermore, this is the only line that connects all of Tokyo's most famous central stations such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Ueno and Tokyo Station
Can you use Suica card on JR Yamanote Line?
travel with the yamanote line around tokyo_. To travel with the JR Yamanote Line, you can use your Japan Rail Pass, PASMO or SUICA Card or tickets

Shinjuku Tokyo Japan - The greatest place to visit in Tokyo
Shinjuku (新宿区 Shinjuku-ku, New Lodge) is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan. It is a major commercial and administrative centre, housing the busiest railway station in the world (Shinjuku Station) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the administration centre for the government of Tokyo. As of 2015, the ward has an estimated population of 337,556 and a population density of 18,517 people per km². The total area is 18.23 km².
East Shinjuku: The area east of Shinjuku Station and surrounding Shinjuku-sanchome Station, historically known as Naito-Shinjuku, houses the city hall and the flagship Isetan department store, as well as several smaller areas of interest:
Kabukichō: Tokyo's best-known red-light district, renowned for its variety of bars, restaurants, and sex-related establishments.
Golden Gai: An area of tiny shanty-style bars and clubs. Musicians, artists, journalists, actors and directors gather here, and the ramshackle walls of the bars are literally plastered with film posters.

Guys, I've decided that I'm going to take a more direct and honest approach with you, my viewers. And part of that real talk has to do with something most Youtubers are not that willing to talk about - money.
The thing with Youtube ad-revenue is that it's a complete joke, and the only way smaller channels can earn an income worth the time spent making videos is with lots of low quality content, or sponsored content. I dont wanna play that game. I want to make the best videos possible for you, my viewers, but making good videos takes a ton of time, effort and money.
Thus, I started Patreon to help with the costs of producing these videos. There's a few of costs like: travelling around Tokyo, entrance fees and the cost of my time (hundreds of hours scripting, shooting, editing).
A lot of my fellow YouTuber friends are using Patreon so that their audience can support them directly. I would LOVE to make working on this channel my full-time job, so If you feel that my content is worth it then please have a look at my Patreon page and help me grow Tokyo Drew. Let's make awesome vids together:
