Hankyu Railway Sannomiya Station (阪急三宮駅), Downtown Kobe City, Japan
Sannomiya ward is where downtown Kobe city and all the visitor attractions are located. So, if you need to go to downtown Kobe, you need to get to Sannomiya.
Sannomiya ward is serviced by both Japan Railway (JR) and Hankyu Railway. This line of Hankyu Railway runs from Kyoto City, so if you are staying in Kyoto, you can get to downtown Kobe either by Hankyu railway or Japan Railway.
This video shows the Hankyu Railway Sannomiya Station (阪急三宮駅). Enjoy!!

JR Shin-Kobe Station (JR 新神戸駅), Kobe City
JR Shin-kobe (JR 新神戸駅) station, is located in Kobe City, Kansai Region of Japan. Kobe city is a excellent city, not only known for it's beef (called Kobe beef) but also a meeting place for international business men and tourists.
JR Shin-Kobe station only provides the Shinkansen lines, every bullet train on the Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen line, stops here. So, you can see how busy this station is with very high frequency of bullet trains.
To get to the JR lines you have to take the Kobe subway to get to JR Sannomiya Station. It is only one stop from the Shin Kobe station though.
The peculiarity of this station is that on either side of the station, long tunnels start into the mountain. Basically the station is at the base of a mountain, with tunnels either side for the coming and leaving bullet trains.
Kobe city is a fun place to visit and hangout, hope you get a chance to visit it and pass to JR Shin-kobe Station.
Enjoy.

Kobe, Japan - Maiko Station (2019)
Maiko Station (舞子駅 Maiko-eki) is a railway station in Tarumi-ku, Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan.
Kobe (神戸市 Kōbe-shi, Japanese: [koːꜜbe]) is the sixth-largest city in Japan and the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, on the north shore of Osaka Bay and about 30 km (19 mi) west of Osaka. With a population around 1.5 million, the city is part of the Keihanshin metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto.
The earliest written records regarding the region come from the Nihon Shoki, which describes the founding of the Ikuta Shrine by Empress Jingū in AD 201. For most of its history, the area was never a single political entity, even during the Tokugawa period, when the port was controlled directly by the Tokugawa shogunate. Kobe did not exist in its current form until its founding in 1889. Its name comes from kanbe (神戸, an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine). Kobe became one of Japan's designated cities in 1956.
Kobe was one of the cities to open for trade with the West following the 1853 end of the policy of seclusion and has since been known as a cosmopolitan and nuclear-free zone port city. While the 1995 Great Hanshin earthquake diminished much of Kobe's prominence as a port city, it remains Japan's fourth-busiest container port. Companies headquartered in Kobe include ASICS, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Kobe Steel, as well as over 100 international corporations with Asian or Japanese headquarters in the city, such as Eli Lilly and Company, Procter & Gamble, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Nestlé. The city is the point of origin and namesake of Kobe beef, as well as the site of one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, Arima Onsen.

Kobe In A Day: What To Do And Eat In Kobe | Japan Travel Guide
1 day Japan travel itinerary guide on what to do and eat in Kobe. Kobe offers much much more than just Kobe Beef!
Kobe is under an hour away from Kyoto and Osaka, so it makes the perfect day trip as well.
Kobe is very well known for their famous Kobe Beef, however this city has much more to offer than just that. In this video let me show you how to travel around Kobe efficiently and visit the must see places in just one day.
1 day in Kobe is enough to see the main areas of the city, however if you want to do more activities like hiking, going to the onsen or more hands on cultural experiences then a few days would be better.
Also, If you have more days to spend here then I definitely recommend checking out more of the local areas and back streets!!!

THE BEST OF KOBE - Chinatown, Kobe Port, Mt Maya | Backpacking Japan Vlog 3
Kobe City is not far from Osaka and Kyoto but it is less visited than these Cities but I loved it and I'm so glad I visited.
I had 2 days to see as many things to do in Kobe as I could. I started off on a walking tour around Nada neighbourhood with my Hostel - Maya Guesthouse. Then I headed into Downtown Kobe to Nunobiki Waterfalls just behind Shin Kobe Station and then to Chinatown which has lots of nice street food and I sampled the Sesame Balls and a Sweet Piggy Dumpling!
I walked the 10 minutes to Kobe Harbour Port where I could see the Kobe Port Tower, BE KOBE Sign, the Ferris Wheel and loads of interesting buildings.
To hide from the rain I headed into Kobe Harbourland and the Mosaic Building which is full of restaurants. Once the rain cleared I saw a great sunset in Kobe Harbour.
Kobe is sandwiched between the Ocean and Mountains so the next day I took the Cable Car and Ropeway up to Mount Maya to see an amazing view over Kobe.
This is a popular place to visit in Kobe at night-time too to see the City and a lot of Kansai all lit up!
