Jack Daniel's is a brand of Tennessee whiskey and the top-selling American whiskey in the world. It is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, by the Jack Daniel Distillery, which has been owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation since 1956. Jack Daniel's home county of Moore is a dry county, so the product is not available for purchase at stores or restaurants within the county. The product meets the regulatory criteria for classification as a straight bourbon, though the company disavows this classification. It markets the liquor simply as Tennessee whiskey rather than as Tennessee bourbon. As defined in the North American Free Trade Agreement, Tennessee Whiskey is classified as a straight bourbon authorized to be produced in the state of Tennessee. The Tennessee Code Annotated (57-2-106) further defines Tennessee Whiskey as being filtered through charcoal made from sugar maple ,in addition to the above requirements (the Lincoln County Process). Packaged in square bottles, Jack Daniel's Black Label Tennessee whiskey sold 12.5 million cases in the 2017 fiscal year, which ended on April 30, 2017. Other popular family brands, such as Tennessee Honey, Gentleman Jack, and Tennessee Fire, added another 2.9 million cases to sales. Sales of an additional 800,000 equivalent cases in ready-to-drink (RTD) products brought the fiscal year total to more than 16.1 million equivalent adjusted cases for the entire Jack Daniel's family of brands.

Tennessee | Jack Daniel's Distillery Tour
While in the Nashville area, we decided to take a tour of the Jack Daniel's Distillery which is located 75 miles south in the small town of Lynchburg.
Jack Daniel's is the number one selling brand of whiskey in the world and it is not to be mistaken with the bourbon whiskey's that come from some of the northern states. Jack Daniel's is a sour mash whiskey, and is only made at the Lynchburg site - with 2016 being the 150th Anniversary.
There are a few different tours on offer, one of which is a 'tea-total' option which does not include any sampling. We chose the Angel's Share tour as it appeared to be the most comprehensive and on a personal level involved sampling products that I have not tried before.
The tour itself takes you around all areas of the distillery, though incase you are wondering why some areas are missed off the video (Still house, charcoal mellowing areas, certain areas of the barrell house) its because there is a very strict no photography policy enforced. The tour was excellent and our guide, Brian was very knowledgeable on all things Jack!
Ironically the distillery and Lynchburg is located in a Dry Country (Moore County) i.e. ''No Alcohol for Sale', this dates back to the prohibition era. The only place you can purchase the different Jack Daniel's products is within the White Rabbit Saloon which was formerly located within the town square of Lynchburg, but is now the store within the Jack Daniel's visitor center. This is the only place in Lynchburg where Jack Daniels (alcoholic) products can be purchased. The general store within Lynchburg itself sells cakes, coffee and other items which are made with Jack Daniels, but these products are not branded as Jack Daniels and contain a very low (if any) alcohol content - because its a dry county!
If you appreciate Jack Daniel's then the distillery is worth a visit!

Just like the title says. I took many pictures and a few videos of the Jack Daniel's Distillery. It was an enjoyable tour. Great staff and interesting history. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

My visit to Jack Daniel's distillery in Lynchburg, TN
The Jack Daniel's tour was ok, They would not let me video parts of the plant so all I could do is just walk with the tour guide and all the people and could not talk a lot, but it was a great tour. One hour and a half waling tour. after the tour I went read this on Jack.
I think of my life now as a wonderful play that I've written for myself, and my soul purpose in life now is to have the utmost fun playing out my part.

Stopped by the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, TN for the free tour. There's also a 'sample tour' that costs I think $10, but it runs at limited times. The free tour I walked in, and was literally shuffled right into a tour about to start.
Afterwards I walked around town, bought $10 worth of Honey Whiskey fudge and got my free shot glass (with $10 purchase) that you can redeem in town with your tour ticket.
You're not allowed to film or take pictures inside the actual building where they make whiskey, so I didn't, and you don't get to see inside.
