The coastal suburb of Dún Laoghaire is popular for strolls on the East Pier, and locally caught fish and chips. The National Maritime Museum of Ireland has nautical art and artefacts inside a 19th-century sailors’ church, while the harbour is a busy hub for fishing, water sports and cruises. Nearby Sandycove is home to the James Joyce Tower and Museum, as well as the sheltered beach and bathing spot at Forty Foot.

James Joyce Tower -- 360 view
Here's a view from the top of the James Joyce Tower in Sandycove, Ireland. Joyce lived in this tower for a week in September 1904, and the first chapter of Ulysses takes place in the tower. At the end of the video, you can see the Forty Foot bathing area, where Buck Mulligan takes a swim in The snotgreen sea. The scrotumtightening sea.
The tower itself is a Martello Tower, built in the early 1800s to defend the coast from Napoleon ---
