Ice Flow on the Merrimack River, Historic Newburyport, MA 1/18/2019
Deer Island on the line of Amesbury ,MA and Newburyport, MA is a great little park to set up shop for this. With the Chain Bridge and the John Greenleaf Whittier Bridge linking Boston to Coastal New Hampshire as a backdrop, we can see the power of the Merrimack River. Newburyport is the birthplace of the United States Coast Guard, and due to the currents of the river and at the treacherous transition to Atlantic Ocean between Plum Island, MA and Salisbury, MA, it is a good thing they are still here!
This is a New England historic area, and I would urge anyone visiting or living in Boston to make the trip up north. More to come when boating season begins!

Haverhill, Essex county, northeastern Massachusetts, U.S., on the Merrimack River. Founded by the Reverend John Ward in 1640, it was named for Haverhill, England. Early agricultural efforts gave way to shipbuilding and leather industries during the early 19th century. By 1836 it had become a major centre of shoe, comb, and hat manufacturing, reaching its industrial peak in the 1920s. A decline in industrial activity eventually resulted in economic diversification, which now includes the production of electrical items, computerized systems, and shoes. Services and retail trade also are major sources of employment. Full list of Video Credit see here This video is Part Two in Demystifying Credit Videos. Next myth that should be demystified is that The burden of proof rests with the consumer to validate information contained on their credit report. The opposite is true under the fair credit reporting act; both federal and various state laws require that the credit agencies bear the burden. The most popular myth that exist is that consumer cannot restore his credit on his own. You can do it yourself (just like you can represent yourself as an attorney in a court of law). But you can also allow experienced professionals to educate you and assist you in restoring your credit profile. So, Better Qualified is here to help you and to guide you through Credit Restoring process. Consumer credit is divided into two classifications: revolving creditand installment credit. Consumer credit allows consumers to get an advance or loan to spend money on products or services for family, household or personal uses. Consumers can purchase items they need when their funds are low. Consumer credit offers a backup form of payment and one monthly payment.Better Qualified takes a personal approach to the credit management process and work with you every step of the way to get you the best possible results. A financial export is a financial service provided by a domestic firm (regardless of ownership) to a foreign firm or individual. While financial services such as banking, insurance and investment management are often seen as a domestic service, an increasing proportion of financial services are now being handled abroad, in other financial centres, for a variety of reasons. Some smaller financial centres, such as Bermuda, Luxembourg, and the Cayman Islands, lack sufficient size for a domestic financial services sector and have developed a role providing services to non-residents as offshore financial centres. The increasing competitiveness of financial services has meant that some countries, such as Japan, which were self-sufficient have increasingly imported financial services. Better Qualified offers a consultative approach to ensure you receive the best results from the Better Qualified credit management process. Our credit management experts work with you throughout the process to make sure you not only see results, but that you understand how to maintain healthy credit in the future. Secured credit cards require that you put a down payment as collateral, so that you can build your credit risk free. Better Qualified doesn’t cut corners when it comes to your credit. We start with an in-depth evaluation of your credit report and history, helping us understand your current financial situation.

john greenleaf Whiittier Barbara Freitchie Poem animation
Heres a virtual movie of the celebrated American poet john greenleaf Whiittier reading his best known poem Barbara Freitchie FRITCHIE, Barbara, also Frietchie ,December 3, 1766 December 18, 1862 was a legendary Unionist heroine of the American civil war, who reputedly defied the Confederate troops under Stonewall Jackson as they advanced through Frederick, Md., by waving the Stars and Stripes from an upper window of her home. This story, now considered apocryphal, is the subject of a popular patriotic poem, Barbara Frietchie (1864), by John Greenleaf Whittier, and a play, Barbara Frietchie (1899), by Clyde Fitch. Authenticity of poem The flag incident in the poem likely never occurred, however, as Barbara Fritchie was sick in bed that day. She told the housekeeper to hide all valuables to prevent looting, and to take the U.S. flag that hung outside,[citation needed] but it was never moved, and as a result was shot up by the Confederate troops. Accounts differ as to how the legend that inspired the poem arose. The flag, a symbol of the need for myth in times of war, may be seen in the Barbara Fritchie House and Museum. History disproves the poem with the fact that the Confederate troops never passed by her house. Although they were within range of sight, they would only have been heard by Mrs. Fritchie if they had yelled to her at the top of their lungs. Similarly, her responding voice would have been drowned out by the volume of the troops yelling to her, except for those who were standing nearest to her. The troops marched south on Bentz Street and turned west on Patrick Street. To have passed Barbara Fritchie's house, they would have needed to turn east and march a minimum of 1000 feet to have been at her door. [1] Any Confederate troops marching to her door would have been shot for desertion, as that would have been the charge for disobeying their set marching orders. John Greenleaf Whittier (December 17, 1807 September 7, 1892) was an influential American Quaker poet and ardent advocate of the abolition of slavery in the United States. He is usually listed as one of the Fireside Poets. Whittier was strongly influenced by the Scottish poet, Robert Burns. While Whittier's critics never considered him to be a great poet, they thought him a nobel and kind man whose verse gave unique expression to ideas they valued. The Civil War inspired the famous poem, Barbara Frietchie, but the important change in his work came after the war. From 1865 until his death in 1892, Whittier wrote of religion, nature, and rural life; he became the most popular Fireside poets.

Barbara Frietchie..........excerpt..............
Up from the meadows rich with corn, Clear in the cool September morn, The clustered spires of Frederick stand Green-walled by the hills of Maryland. Round about them orchards sweep, Apple and peach tree fruited deep, Fair as the garden of the Lord To the eyes of the famished rebel horde, On that pleasant morn of the early fall When Lee marched over the mountain-wall; Over the mountains winding down, Horse and foot, into Frederick town. Forty flags with their silver stars, Forty flags with their crimson bars, Flapped in the morning wind: the sun Of noon looked down, and saw not one. Up rose old Barbara Frietchie then, Bowed with her fourscore years and ten; Bravest of all in Frederick town, She took up the flag the men hauled down; In her attic window the staff she set, To show that one heart was loyal yet, Up the street came the rebel tread, Stonewall Jackson riding ahead. Under his slouched hat left and right He glanced; the old flag met his sight. `Halt!` - the dust-brown ranks stood fast. `Fire!` - out blazed the rifle-blast. It shivered the window, pane and sash; It rent the banner with seam and gash

Routes 108 and 125 both have their northern termini at the New Hampshire state border, where both continue as New Hampshire state routes. Four of the five state routes, except Route 108, share at least a portion of their roadways in the town with each other. Haverhill is the site of six road crossings and a rail crossing of the Merrimack; two by I-495 (the first leading into Methuen), the Comeau Bridge (Railroad Avenue, which leads to the Bradford MBTA station), the Haverhill/Reading Line Railroad Bridge, the Basiliere Bridge (Rte. 125/Bridge St.), the Bates Bridge (Rtes. 97/113 to Groveland) and the Rocks Bridge to West Newbury, just south of the Merrimac town line. The subsectors, industry groups, and industries within the Finance and Insurance sector are defined on the basis of their unique production processes. As with all industries, the production processes are distinguished by their use of specialized human resources and specialized physical capital. In addition, the way in which these establishments acquire and allocate financial capital, their source of funds, and the use of those funds provides a third basis for distinguishing characteristics of the production process. For instance, the production process in raising funds through deposit-taking is different from the process of raising funds in bond or money markets. The process of making loans to individuals also requires different production processes than does the creation of investment pools or the underwriting of securities. Your credit score is important as it can affect whether you can get a mortgage, and on what terms. Your credit score doesn't have to be perfect, but when you increase it, you improve your chances of buying a home. The biggest myth of all is that Your past credit history determines your future. The scoring model, like life, is in constant change. The best way to handle change is with education. Understanding credit risk is not easy, and it’s a challenge exacerbated by the enormity of the bond market. An Epic Legacy
Poem Interpretation Project
A Legacy..
Friend of my many years!
When the great silence falls, at last, on me,
Let me not leave, to pain and sadden thee,
A memory of tears,
But pleasant thoughts alone.
Of one who was thy friendship's honored guest
And drank the wine of consolation pressed
From sorrows of thy own.
I leave with thee a sense
Of hands upheld and trials rendered less,
The unselfish joy which is to helpfulness
Its own great recompense.
The knowledge that from thine,
As from the garments of the Master, stole
Calmness and strength, the virtue which makes whole
And heals without a sign.
Yea more, the assurance strong
That love, which fails of perfect utterance here,
Lives on to fill the heavenly atmosphere
With its immortal song.

However it is not the largest category in terms of revenue or number of employees. It is also a slow growing and extremely fragmented industry, with the largest company (Citigroup), only having a 3% US market share. In contrast, the largest home improvement store in the US, Home Depot, has a 30% market share, and the largest coffee house Starbucks has a market share of 32%. Haverhill Attractions:
