Johor Zoo is the first and oldest Zoo in Southeast Asia.
It was Opened in 1928 by the Sultan of Johor.
Admission fee is RM 2.00 for adults and RM 1.00 for children. Opening Hours is 8:30 to 6pm
There are more than 100 animal species in the zoo displayed in 28 exhibits.
Johor Zoo is located 1km from Johor Bahru City Centre and is the only zoo administered by a state government in Malaysia.

Visit Zoo Johor when in Johor Bahru Malaysia
Johor Zoo is one of the must visit when in Johor Bahru, especially for families with kids. From Johor Bahru Custom and Immigration or Johor Sentral, the zoo is just 7-10 mins by cab or car. We took GRAB to get there which only costs RM 5. Watch the road trip on the first minute of the video.0
The Johor Zoo entrance fee in Rm2 for adults and RM1 for Child (3-12 years old).
Kids loved camel and elephant feeding. You can buy their food for RM2 (camel) and RM5 (elephant).
The weather was not perfect during our visit, luckily it only rained for less than an hour.
3 hours or less is enough to go around the zoo.

Zoo Johor Week 18 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia
We visit the Zoo Johor in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This zoo is amazingly cheap, has some nice bird and monkey areas. There are also lions, tigers, and bears.. oh my. Though those areas are more like massive pits in the ground with bars and spikes on the edges to keep them in. Overall the zoo is fantastic for the $1-2 price that you pay. It does have numerous up close experiences with tons of animals that you just don't see in the states. If your in Johor, don't miss out on this experience.
