BLOWING ROCKS PRESERVE // JUPITER, FL // JAN. 28, 2017
Hey, hey! In this video we explore Blowing Rocks Preserve in Jupiter, Florida, the largest coastline of Anastasia rock on the U.S. Atlantic coast. According to The Nature Conservancy, waves surging against the limestone can create geysers up to 50 feet into the air. These rock formations were likely created some 120,000 years ago during the Pleistocene Age. This limestone extends from St. Augustine to Boca Raton, the largest portion of exposed rock being found here at Blowing Rocks. Anastasia rock is usually found either underground or underwater. Afterwards we checked out the rescued sea turtles at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach.

Mounts Botanical Garden Art to Save the Sea
Washed Ashore Art to Save the Sea is a sculpture exhibit at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach, Florida. This exhibit, the brainchild of artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi, is a wake-up call to save the creatures of the sea threatened by plastic debris. The exhibit features 10 sea creatures, some of whose existence is threatened by human behavior. Thousands of volunteers and rangers collected the debris washed ashore on beaches and shorelines. Many helped with the mounting of the exhibit, which has traveled to various sites over the years. The setting of the current exhibit (December 2017-June 2018) in a botanical garden reinforces the message of environmental conservation and sustainability. While browsing in the beautiful garden, visitors witness amazing artistic sculptures, while reminded that all are created from varied forms of plastic debris.

There is a demonstrated need in the USA for more education and awareness about the American military experience, both for children and adults. The Museum of Military History helps to fill this need by providing interactive exhibits,
workshops, lectures, publications and outreach programs.
The museum's exhibits and displays are dynamic, entertaining, hands-on and interactive, to impart both knowledge and critical thinking skills, while at the same time inspiring a sense of fun and adventure. The Museum of Military History layers its
exhibits and information on a number of different levels. This fosters learning for a diverse audience, including students, experts and amateurs from local, national and global audiences.
The goal is to help people from all walks of life, and with all levels of knowledge, to better understand and evaluate the experience of combat for American veterans. To this end, the Museum of Military History combines aspects of science, history, art and anthropology museums. The result will be an exploration of modern combat and what it was like as an American to serve his or her country in time of war. This will serve as an important center for education and culture in Osceola County.
The core function of the Museum of Military History is to encourage, foster and support education in these fields by making learning tangible, interesting and interactive. The Museum of Military History hopes to inspire our visitors with a desire to learn and think critically, encouraging curiosity.
The Museum of Military History supports this desire by filling a void in today's learning resources; it will use resources that are not readily available from other sources.
The Museum of Military History provides interactive exhibits, games and displays from which people of all ages and backgrounds can learn about the individual soldier's experience.
